Chapter 40

"There are things we would rather give up for the salvation of others."
________________________________________
When Tyrel arrived at the nurse station, he saw that there were no patients outside and that only a few were being treated by the nurses. Tyrel was suddenly stopped, looking around because Larry had suddenly punched him.

"I already told you to not accept those patients! You are not a doctor here, Tyrel!"

"It doesn't matter if I'm a doctor or not in this hospital, Larry! What do you want? Should I be like myself to you? Should I be like you, who are expelling and transferring all the patients to another hospital? My duty and principle as a doctor are to help others, Larry! I am not like you, that you will only accept those who are rich, those who need this hospital you will not accept them here. What is the use of being a doctor if you are a coward? I am ready to give up my license, as a doctor if it is for human life.

"Because of what you did Tyrel, the kid died!"
"It's even good for that kid to fight back; you, as a doctor didn't try to save his life! Her parents begged you, but what did you do? You are telling them to transfer them to another hospital. Yes, that kid died, but she tried to fight to survive, and I did everything to keep her alive. Somehow I helped another patient. Somehow I saved their lives, especially the children's. But you, you are trying to stop me and moreover, you are just standing and watching all the kids to be die! Larry, you are a coward! Do you remember why I was expelled from this hospital? Instead of you? Of course, you will forget that because you don't want to be the one to be expelled from this hospital!"
Larry was about to punch Tyrel again, but someone immediately shouted his name.

"Dr. Larry Vladimir stop that! Follow me!" Larry immediately followed director David, while Tyrel stared at them. He only turned his gaze when suddenly someone pulled his clothes with blood, and here he saw a boy with a bandage on his head who was one he had saved earlier. He knelt here in front of the little boy and the little boy wiped the blood on his lips.

"Thanks, you're not okay yet. You should be resting." He said. But suddenly, the kid hugged him until the kid's mother approached them.

"I'm sorry doc, he was trying to find you, but he saw you punched by a doctor. Thank you for saving my son doc."
Tyrel smiled at the lady and he was about to leave, but he found something in the pocket of his pants and here he saw three bracelets given to the child who died. Instead of leaving the hospital, he decided to go to the morgue because he was sure that the child's family was there. And he didn't make a mistake because he caught the couple and their daughter crying outside the morgue, and he also saw Ralph, who was also sitting not far from them and was just dazed. Tyrel slowly approached them, and he handed the bracelet the kid was giving to him for her family. The lady took it from his palm and handed it to her husband and daughter. Tyrel thought the lady would yell at him, but he was wrong because the lady suddenly hugged him tightly.
"Thank you. Thank you very much. We know you did everything for my daughter."
"Your daughter is very brave because she tried to fight earlier but she gave up."
The lady couldn't stop thanking Tyrel until the lady let go of her embrace with Tyrel and the lady hugged her husband. Tyrel was about to leave in front of the family to approach Ralph, but the little girl immediately grabbed his hand.

"Thank you doc, because I know my sister is happy now because she won't have any more suffering."

"You shouldn't just thank me, you need to thank him too."
Tyrel pointed to Ralph, who was still sitting. The girl let go of Tyrel's hand and approached Ralph. She grabbed Ralph's hand and she put a piece of candy.
"Thank you, Doc."  The young girl said, and left in front of Ralph, and she approached her parents while Tyrel quietly left the morgue. With each passing in the hallway, some parents thanked him for what he did earlier. When he went outside from the hospital, he immediately got into the car and drove faster going his house.

As Tyrel drove, he thought if he would still have worked at the hospital where he worked because he knew the head of the hospital already knew what he did. He did that because he was a doctor, and it was his duty to save people's lives. When he reached his house, he quietly got out of the car and went inside his house. Jayson, Carmen, and Haru were shocked by what they saw because Tyrel's shirt was full of blood.

"Did you have an accident, Tyrel?" Carmen asked immediately, but Tyrel just shook his head and went straight to the bathroom to clean himself.

On the other hand, Nicole is very worried about Haru because until now she still doesn't know where Haru is.

"I know she is fine, Nicole."
"I can’t be bothered, Nikki. Until I can’t see her or talk to her, what if something has already happened to her? I didn't know what to do when something bad happened to her."

"In between us, you know more about Haru. I know she will call you if she needs you."
"What if Arche asks me? Where is Haru? What will I answer?"
"Nicole as long as he believes Haru is in the province he won't be a wonder." their conversation was stopped when Arche suddenly arrived with Sander.
"I just accompanied our new colleague here. I'm going somewhere but I'll be right back."
Arche said and quickly left the hospice. Nicole would have asked where Arche was going, but she just ignored it, because she might Arche wondered if she asked.

Arche arrives at Jasper's grandma's house. He quietly entered the house, but when he entered, he was confused because he saw, Amelia, trying to find something on the floor using her hand.
"Where is that book?"
Arche heard the old woman say, and here he saw the book near the old woman's hand. Arche looked at Jasper, who was just standing near his grandmother. Arche thought only the old woman was here but he's wrong because Jasper is here. Jasper was silently crying and pity looking at his grandma. Arche understood now that the old woman's eyes were blurring, so he quietly walked over to her and picked up the book and placed it in front of the old woman's hand.

"Oh! I finally found it."
Arche noticed that the old woman was hard to stand. He would have helped her stand up, but Jasper grabbed the arm of the old woman, who was shocked by it, and they both helped Amelia stand up and sit on the chair.
"G-Granny,"
Jasper stuttered and hugged his grandma, who was still shocked.
"J-asper? A-rche?" It was here that Amelia could clearly see who has helped her.
"Why didn't you tell us this, granny? Your deception, granny!"
"G-good boy, my grandson." Jasper didn't let speak his grandma, because he hugged her tighter. while Arche was just watching the two of them. He wiped away his tears and he remembered his half-sister, he quietly left the house to give the time to Jasper and Amelia.
