"If the night comes, the stars are always there, but they miss them if the rain comes." _____________________________________________________ In Haru's favourite place to go, now, she is sitting alone on the bench. She fled the hospice to meditate because she was sure that people in the hospice would not immediately know she was not there. She looked at the sky and she raised her index finger and traced the stars in the sky and many shapes she was formed until she stared for a long time at the one big star shining. "Aren't you going back to hospice yet? Maybe they are already looking for you there." Haru was surprised when suddenly someone spoke behind her. "How did you know I was here? And why are you here?" Haru asked Tyrel. "I saw you earlier while I was on my way to the hospice, and I followed you. I've stared at you for so long." Tyrel said and sat down next to her. "You really love watching the stars shining in the sky, and you also love the rain. Why?" Haru smiled and looked at the sky again, and then spoke. "The star was my light when I was trapped in my dark past. And the rain heals the wounds I feel, and the rain also reminds me of the two people who saved my life." "Whoever those two people are, I am very grateful to them," Tyrel said, even though he really knows who Haru is referring to. "Do you see that star? Maybe that star is the most important person in my life. Mom, dad, and uncle Harold." Haru slowly turned to Tyrel and saw that it was looking up at the sky. "Someone told me that the big and shining star in the sky was the person who was important to you and was watching over you. Even like a child think that I believe in such things for me, that is true." Tyrel smiled sparingly and pointed to the star that was large and shining. "Maybe, that star isn't my mom, dad, or uncle because it is Mrs. Emelyn and she's looking at you." Haru followed Tyrel's pointing, and here she saw the star she had been looking at earlier. There was a long silence between the two of them until Haru looked at Tyrel again when she heard Tyrel speak. "Dark skies are hard to leave when the sun wakes up. Because another night will be waiting to see the darkness. Every twinkle of the star gives hope. The light that the star gives is the one that gives us direction, so don't think that you have nothing direction because someone is guiding you." Tyrel smiled and looked at Haru. "T-that poem, seems like I've heard it before." "Haru, you said that to me before." Haru bowed her head at what Tyrel said. "Haru, you forgot everything, but you will never lose it in your heart. You can't even tell me the reason why you forgot your memories, I know you have a reason. Haru, when you saw Jared, were you happy?" Haru nodded and spoke softly. "Yes, because he is one of the reasons I am living today." "Apart from Jared, who helped you, you already know the person who was also the reason why you are here now, don't you?" It was a long time before Haru could answer Tyrel's question. "Silent means yes. Don't you have any intention of telling that person know that he helped you on the bridge that rainy night?" Haru was shocked to look at Tyrel because no one knew about it except her and the person who helped her. Because Tyrel also saw Haru's reaction, he explained why he knew that. "I didn't know you before that you were my cousin. I'm on my way home from work, I hurried to get home because I was worried about Jayson that night and it was still raining. I passed through the bridge to get home right away, but I stopped because I saw you that day. I was going to run to approach you, but someone quickly ran up to you and pulled you. That man helped you stand up and shouted at you loudly." "I'm going back to the hospice," Haru said and quickly stood up, but Tyrel spoke again. "How long will you torture yourself, Haru? How long will you believe that they are not your real family? How long will you keep the pain you feel alone? How long will you show yourself that you are strong? How long will you hurt the feelings of those people close to you? Until when Haru? When? If the people who love you are tired?" "No, when I die, I will only stop." "Haru! I thought life was important to you! But why are you showing me like this? Where is my cousin that I know! I know some of your memories are already back." "She's gone! She’s gone because I don’t know who she is! I want to get back to what I had before that I haven't met you all!" "Haru! If you do this to get our hearts away from you, that won’t happen because we will keep reminding you of who you are and what you are in our lives!" "You know? I'm having a hard time! I just want to be a star. I just want to be like them. To no longer hurt the feelings of those people around me!" "No," before Tyrel could continue what he was about to say, suddenly, someone spoke behind them. "You want to be like the stars so that even without you, you can see us in the far away? And give direction? Is that so? Is that what you like, Haru? Is that what you wanted? Do you really want to leave us?" Haru shook her head and looked at Arche walking towards them. "That's what it is you want, but why are you making a way for us to hate you?!" Arche hugged Haru very tightly, and Haru burst her tears. "Can you fight for us? Can you fight for me? Can we still make so many memories together?" "I'm scared." "Do not be afraid because we are with you, I am with you in this battle you have." Arche pulled Haru away from him, and he touched both of Haru's cheeks and wiped away her tears. "I'm here, I won't leave you. Will you fight okay?" Haru nodded tearfully and hugged Arche very tightly. As Tyrel quietly left, he left the two so he could give them both time. Arche and Haru sat on the bench, and they both silently gazed at the sky. "We were looking for you at the hospice earlier when I saw that you were not in your room, so I borrowed mom's car and went here because I knew you were going here." "Sorry," "Don't be sorry, I don't want to hear that word from you. Because for me, that word means something bad."
"It's not bad to say sorry, huh? It's to apologize for what I did wrong." "If for you or for someone else, sorry means apologizing, for me, that is not what it means. Because for me, sorry means goodbye." A long silence intervened between the two of them. Until Arche invites Haru return to the hospice.
