    AT MR OJO HOUSE
When they arrived at Ada house , Ada parents were sitting outside, they were quite surprised at seen their daughter in such an expensive car and with a man who looked like a person who they have seen before.  However since they do not know their mission they warmly welcome them .
Pastor Ojo presented two kola _ nut as that was their custom to his guest.   After Thanking his host for his kindness,  Bako passed the kola back to him, saying, " The King kola comes back to him," meaning that it the duty of pastor Ojo to pray over it.
Pastor Ojo tried to argue that the visitor should pray, but Alhaji Bako refused to pray.  He said that yam does not grow tendril from the bottom, pastor Ojo then accepted the kola. He prayed for the kola and the long life and warfare of all present, and broke the kola and they both ate .
There after, he and his wife looked inquiries at their daughter, a looks which suggested that she should introduce the man with her and tell them what his mission was
Then Ada made a sign to Bako to for both of them to knelt down in front of her parents.  Talking Bako by his right hand, Ada said to her father,   " Daddy, I introduce to you Alhaji Bako, the man I wish to marry. We are here to ask for your blessing."
Mr Ojo was mad with anger but cleverly suppressed it .    He wanted to ask her why she have abandoned her education to go in marriage and why choosing an old man, and so ugly man, worse still an unbeliever for a prospective husband.
"Thanks you my daughter,"  he said to Ada  pretending to be cheerfulness.   " You have come with a very good news,"  And to Alhaji Bako, he also said to him.  "My friend you are welcome,    May it be well with you, You have come for something good, Every man is indebted to his father and the debt is to marry and begins to own children just like him too was begotten so that the family tree does not die . It is your debt that you are trying to pay for by looking for a girl to marry.  So you are not going to face any obstacle..."
At the mention of you are not going to face any obstacle both Bako and Ada chorused Amen .
Bako and Ada looked at each other . they were overwhelmed with joy at the beautiful words of pastor Ojo.   They  had least expected such a good and quick response from Mr Ojo,  even the slightest doubt, which they had about their success was dispelled.
At once Alhaji Bako got up, and walked straight to his car and brought the carton of foreign wine which him had in his boot and placed them on the table. He then dipped his hand into his capacious agbada picket and brought it out a cheque of hundred thousand dollars which he have already made out to pastor Ojo.  He tried to hand them over to Mr Ojo,  but Mr Ojo  put his hand out to stop him .  "Take it easy, my friend" he said.  "  I can see you are well off, As our people say,  when a bachelor's is told that he is going to get a wife, he will reply , " If it not today, let it not exceed tomorrow, You must not be hasty, my friend
You see before  I accept anything from you, there is are certain things I  should find out first from the both you.  You know that youths, for lack of proper knowledge of marriage is all about,at times plan to marry simple because a boy and a girl mets.  each other in school orat the party. But marriage entails much more than that. because you rush things most of your marriage more often than not hit the rocks.
Now tell me how long have you courted before at the conclusion that you will be able to live together as husband and wife for the rest of your lives?"
" quite some time " replied Alhaji Bako and Ada together
" Fine !" said pastor Ojo, " I am happy you have done that. Now another difficult aspect of marriage, which I would like to highlights so that you will be fully aware of what you are going into the questions of barrenness in women's and important in men but God for bid it in your case
The Alhaji Bako and Ada were silent, but apparently . " What could this man be driving at ?" each of them were thinking
Pastor Ojo went on   " I assure you, my daughter and you, my friend nothing break up a marriage faster than the inability to show the fruit of the marriage."  The silence in the room deepened.
There come the bomb hill. " Therefore, I will like the two of you to go and live together first for some time.  Let us experiment before we can talk about marriage."
Now they realised where the man was coming from. He must be suspecting that Ada was already pregnant.
Knowing Ada condition, Bako and Ada tried to use all clever tricks to divert pastor Ojo decision from the childbearing. But they could not Pastor Ojo argued that in a situation where proper investigation is not made before a boy and girl are allowed to marry, If the marriage collapses, it always the father of the girl who bears the brunt of the collapses marriage.
According to him, not only might the girl father be asked by his former son in law to refund the dowry paid on his daughter head, but he would be forced to start fending anew for a daughter he though he have finished with.
At the point, Alhaji Bako realized that it would be futile not to come clean. He must tell the Mr Ojo the truth and bring the argument to an end.    " My in-law," he said weakly,  " There is no need to hide anything from you. The excellent reception, which you accorded me to my arrived at your house and the way you have been talking to me as your own son require that I should tell you the truth I and your daughter have known for a couple of months now and that  thing you are afraid of had already been done to us by God."
" What I am afraid have already been done by God! What do you mean? be open to me. Is she pregnant or she have delivered?  Are you not my in-law?  You should tell me the truth,"
pastor Ojo demanded with a pretentious smile.
