DARKNESS
After releasing Alicia from detention, Bella made her way towards the cemetery. She shattered the jar with her long, crimson tone nails, allowing the contents to flow down her arms and onto the ground below. As she dug her claws into the dirt, the dim light emitted by her ruby red eyes and blood-red baybayin marks had formed a shadow on the graveyard's earth. The strong gusts of wind blew her long, wavy hair and dark crimson clothing towards the direction of the wind, causing them to flutter. Despite the bustle around her, Bella stayed on one knee with her one hand remained buried in the soil, seemingly unconcerned by the chaos of the surrounding environment. When the ground had completely absorbed the liquid, Bella pushed herself to her feet. The minute she rises, the wind begins to subside gradually. The baybayin symbols carved into her skin gleamed even more brightly, and her ruby eyes flashed even brighter in the dark, adding to her ethereal appearance. As soon as Bella opened her mouth, the earth began to tremble violently. "I am Bella! Queen of the realm of the undead, reigning from the ruins of the undead. I command you to rise to your feet and obey my commands!"
The intensity of the quake increased when a hundred claws underneath the ground have surfaced. [¬º-°]¬ [¬º-°]¬ [¬º-°]¬
Mira wrapped her mother's and Macy's lifeless body in a piece of white cloth and placed a flower on top of them. The sun was out when she heard people screaming outside. Mirabella ran into the balcony and barked, calling for Mira's attention. They hurriedly went outside the street and asked passersby as to what was going on. "Z— Zombie!!!" exclaimed one man on the verge of losing his sanity. Mira turned to face the direction where the people were running away from, and it was from the laboratory. A female zombie with a sickening appearance was on the loose, wreaking havoc on the surrounding neighborhood. Her running style was distinct from the others as she moved quickly from one person's flesh to another, consuming them in a matter of seconds. Her strength was unbelievable despite being too skinny and having no muscles left in her body. She has the ability to demolish structures that stand in her way and has smashed every car and any object that has come in her way. In the meantime, Mirabella was told to fetch Mira's sword while she helped the humans in fleeing the area. "HELP!!!" cried a female voice from somewhere near. "Go, go, go!" Mira said as she assisted the woman in getting to her feet after pulling her out of a car that had flipped over. Mirabella appeared a few minutes later, equipped with Mira's sword. She barked in response after receiving another order from Mira. “Go and help the people.” Mira quickly snatched her scabbard and dashed to the location of the sickly undead. "Hey!" Mira screamed and yanked the blade from its sheath with both hands. The sickening zombie rotated the upper half of her body and took a long sniff in the air after she had a look at Mira's face. Her eyes were twitching with the desire to taste Mira's flesh before rotating the rest of her body in Mira’s direction. "You smell delicious," the zombie giggled, her voice thick and deep. Mira stood with her feet shoulder-width apart and her sword slashed at the ground. She had gently twisted her body, placing one foot forward, balancing her weight between her feet, and slightly sinking her body as if she were ready to advance or recede from the situation. She then kicked her feet on the ground while gripping the sword's handle just below the hilt or guard with her dominant hand and raced right towards the zombie, who was already on the move of munching her to tiny pieces with her teeth that looked like a line of broken tombstones. The zombie grunts as she escapes Mira's attack in mid-air and snarled in return. Mira was having a hard time keeping up with the speed of the undead. As soon as her feet had touched the ground, she quickly prepared her stance, but the zombie was already behind her. "Too slow!" grumbled the zombie, who proceeded to wound Mira in the leg with her claws. While attempting to deflect the strike with the back of her blade, Mira received a scrape on her face and sustained injuries to her legs. She calculated the speed of the female zombie in front of her and swiftly altered her stance, putting all of her weight on a single leg. On the other hand, the zombie who managed to scratch her face was screaming in agony. Mira endured the pain and winced as she tried to stand up on both legs while the pain subsided. She tightened the grip on her sword when the zombie furiously stared at her for a few more seconds before walking away and shattering the objects in her path. Despite the woman's considerable change in look, Mira was able to become familiar with her face. She was just about to follow Alicia when she heard a group of people screaming coming from the opposite direction. Mira hurriedly went to assist the humans in escaping when she came across a bunch of zombies marching in four lanes, following a woman's lead in the foreground. "Bella?" uttered Mira, her brows pinched in perplexity as she spoke. Mira moved rapidly in the direction of the cemetery, where the fleeing people were gathered at the time. "B—Bella..." Mira sobbed as she stood in front of Bella and the horde of undead. When the zombies were about to surge towards Mira, Bella raised one of her arms in the air, signaling the undead to hold their ground. Mira's expression was bewildered as to how Bella was able to subdue the zombies. Bella's other half was well aware that Mira was Bella's weak point. When Bella saw Mira with a wound on her face, tears slowly welled up in her eyes, and she attempted to overcome her other half because she was concerned about Mira. But before Bella could return to herself, her other half attempted to devise a way to ensure that she would not dare return on her own. "Hey, Mira," Bella's other half said to greet her. "Would you like to hear a secret?" she asked. "W—what the hell are you doing?" Bella panicked. It didn't take Bella long to figure out what her other half was thinking when she observed her smirking. "STOP!" Bella was adamant. "But why? Mira deserves to know the truth." The other half persisted. "NO! SHUT UP!" Bella yelled firmly. Bella and her other half alternately switched, gaining control over the mind and body. "Truth?" Mira asked. "M... Mira…" Bella cried and burst into tears. When Bella tried to confess, the inner voice cut her off abruptly. "On one condition!" She lifted one of her hands, signaling Mira to halt when she was about to come closer to Bella. "Behave yourself and fulfill our agreement." As soon as she realized that Bella was completely receptive to her offer and would be unable to refuse it, her countenance took on a deceptive expression. "If you do, I might keep our little secret with us, forever," the other half continued in a sly tone. Bella couldn't summon the bravery she needed. She bit the inside of her bottom lip as she tried to maintain her distance from Mira. "Bella, I--" Mira made an unsuccessful attempt to approach Bella when Bella chose to flee for the second time. The group of the undead remained standing still, waiting for their Queen’s command. A burst of cruel laughter has filled Bella's head that she couldn't stop from repeating itself. "Run, darling. Run!" teased the inner voice. "Run as fast as you can."
