Chapter 20 - What Was That?

*Samantha’s Point of View*
---
"I won," I announced as soon as I handed her the keys.
Then she looked at me like she's mad, and she looked a bit angry. Damnit, Sam!
She never said a word, so I just combed my hair with my fingers.
"It's just 75 kph. The max speed I… uh... hit." I told her, and I look like a student being caught cheating in a quarterly test right now.
She gave me my keys, and it's a good thing that she parked my car in my garage already.
Does she have any plans on talking to me? She isn't that mad, I guess. Well, I just arrived here two minutes before she had.
She sighed and walked past me. And she's about to go to her truck.
She really won't talk to me.
"Okay, I'm sorry, Red. It's just... Uh, Alice is so cool to drive. And it has bigger tires than my Lambo? So, maybe… uh... That's why I arrived… first." I stuttered, and she turned back to me.
How should I make it up with her?
"Do you know how many times I witnessed car accidents because of stupid people racing on the highways?" She asked me angrily.
Oh-kay, she really is mad. I looked to the ground and reflected on what I just did.
"Tsk. Just don't do it again. It's dangerous, Sammy. And I cannot forgive myself if something bad happens to you." She asserted with her voice full of concern.
I looked at her apologetically, and I guess she's right. That's just reckless behavior. I just got so engrossed and excited that I'm with her.
"I'm… I'm not gonna do it again. I'm sorry." I apologized, and she went near me with a serious look on her face.
It's just that I don't really know her that much. She could be scary sometimes.
"Go, now. The girls are waiting for you." She uttered and hugged me. Yes!
Alright, I guess a hug is just what I'd get because of what I did—stupid me.
And I hugged her back, and I really love her scent. That alone can make my insides go weird.
"Yep, so… uh, take care, Red. Good night." I told her, and she nodded her head.
Come on, Sam, think of something valuable to do.
She walked to the driver's seat and looked back at me. Then I walked to her and kissed her on her right cheek. Where do you think I should kiss her? Duh? I'm not thinking about that at all.
She looked at me in the eyes, and a small smile crept on her face. Oh, that's just so hot. And she bit her lower lip while smirking. Damn, she's driving me nuts.
I can clearly see her face because we are under a lamp post and she is so beautiful.
"Will you stop that?" I told her.
Like, come on, she's just teasing me. She's not even initiating something.
Well, maybe she's thinking about last night. She initiated it, but she ended up earning a slap from me. That's just so embarrassing. So, I guess I should initiate it? Ugh, she's making this harder for me.
"Stop what?" She asked with a husky voice while still smirking.
I took a deep breath, and my heart is beating in a very not normal way right now. Something should be done here.
"That," I asserted, and she looked confused.
I guess she doesn't have the idea of what I'm talking about.
"What if I won't?" She asked, and I'm just shocked. What does she have in mind? Is she thinking about it too?
"Then I'll make you," I muttered with confidence, and I held her face and brought it near to mine.
Our lips finally met, and here is this feeling again. It's so beautiful. I wish we could be like this forever.
Then her hands held on my waist and my back while I snaked my arms around her neck as our lips moved in sync. I've been waiting for this moment my whole damn life.
We slowly turned around, and now, my back is leaning against her truck. Oh, she's just so addicting and good, and everything that is amazing.
As her lips traveled down my neck, a moan escaped from my mouth. And I pulled her hair, and I scratched her back. Oh, my gosh, Red, what are you doing to me?
She went back to my lips, and this time she bit my lower lip. Why am I feeling so damn warm and something unexplainable?
Then she broke off from the kiss, and we are both gasping for air. She looked me in the eyes while smiling so wild. Oh sh*t, Samantha, don't back down.
"I gotta go. Good night." She whispered and kissed my forehead.
And she went in her truck, and she winked at me before driving away.
Okay, what had just happened?
I touched my lips, and I can still feel hers on them.
I just can't believe it, and yes, I'm not dreaming at all.
I finally walked into my house and to my room. Damn, I guess my brain and heart were taken away from me by that redhead nerd DJ.
I closed the door, and I'm about to scream her name when I noticed that there were three pairs of eyes staring at me accusingly.
I totally forgot about them being here.
"Uh... Hi, Girls!" I greeted them, and they just stared at me weirdly.
What's wrong with them?
Nobody's talking, and I just noticed Becca's not here.
"Ummm. Where's Becca?" I asked them, and they looked at each other. I guess no one knows.
"So, Sam... What was that?" Charlie finally talked and asked me about something I don't know.
"Uh... That what?" I asked her back while slowly going to my bed and sitting on the edge.
They just looked at me, and Cassidy smiled and wiggled her eyebrows. I think they saw it.
Then my gaze went to Morgan, and she was kissing hand gestures while smiling so wide. Okay, I'll tell them.
"I just did what I have to," I explained, and they went near me and then hugged me.
"Congratulations, Sam! Finally!!!" They cheered on me, and Charlie ruffled my hair.
---
I have told them the rest of the story, and they are truly happy for me.
Then the sound of a car stopping in front of my house made us curious.
We went to the window and looked at who's there. It's Shane's car. I guess she's dropping off Becca.
No one came out, and five minutes had already passed. I wonder what they're doing there, and I think I have an idea.
"Who might it be? Why's it that no one's coming out? I think it's a stalker. Geez, that's creepy." Charlie asked and moved away from the window.
Maybe these girls still don't know what Becca has been doing since last night.
Well, I'm just happy for her and Shane. Love at first sight. I also felt that with Red many, many years ago. And it took me a long time, a very long time, before I finally got her. While they were together, not even a day passed. It's just wow. Amazing.
"It's Rebecca." Her twin muttered as we got the sight of Becca stepping out of the car and heading here.
Then the car drove away, and I guess her twin here got lots of questions for her.
"Babe, do you know who Becca is with?" Cass asked her girl, and she just shook her head in response.
Someone knocked on the door, and it's her.
"Come in!" I yelled, and there, showed my best friend while looking so guilty.
Yep, she's late and not even answering her damn phone.
"What did I miss?" She greeted me with a broad smile, and I looked at the other girls who had been eyeing her.
"Who's that?" Morgan asked her, a bit mad while the other girls were just listening.
"Uh... Well, it's um. Uh… It's…. Karl." She answered while contemplating what to say.
Her twin just raised an eyebrow at her, and she combed her hair out of frustration. Yes, it is indeed Karl. Karla.
"We just went to watch movies and stroll at the beach, and dinner. That's it." She added, and I just can't help myself from smiling. They’re just so effin' cute.
"Hmmn, nothing more?" Morgan asked suspiciously while eyeing her twin.
They could be bickering most of the time, but they care for each other.
Becca nodded her head, and Morgan was not convinced, even a little.
"What about that hickey on your neck?" Her twin asked, and that made her eyes go bigger. Then she touched the part on where it is.
"Hickey? What do you mean hickey? There's no hickey." She answered while panicking.
She looked at me, and I just shrugged at her.
"Where were you last night? Do you know that we have been calling you and texting to know if where the f*ck you are? And to know you are being f*cked by some stranger that could be a bad person, or worse, a drug addict. Have you lost your mind, Rebecca? What if he's onto something bad on you, and he will---" Morgan ranted, but Becca cut her off.
"She's not what you think she is. She's not bad, Morgana. We might have done something last night, but that doesn't mean she's bad. There's nothing wrong with your twin sister liking someone. Alright?" She belted, and she's annoyed.
Yep, Shane's not bad at all.
"Wait up... do I hear it right? 'She'?" Charlie asked curiously, and Morgan seemed to be confused.
They looked back at Becca, and she scratched her head.
"Who exactly is that, Becca?" Morgan asked again.
"Did we get here to make our math assignment, or you'll just cross-examine me till dawn? Because if it's the latter? I have a lot to share with you." She asked, and yep, she's right. It's supposed to be our assignment that is the focus here.
"We're not proceeding to something if you'll not answer my questions." Morgan insisted, and I guess she got no escape from here.
They are done with mine, and now, it's Becca's turn.
