Chapter 24 - Upset

*Samantha’s Point of View*
---
We went down to the parking lot, and she texted Shane that they're just gonna see each other tomorrow for their job at the resto.
"Switch vehicles?" I asked her since she brought with her Nikki, her motorbike. Damn, I always wanted to ride something like that. It's just so freaking cool.
"Never. It's so dangerous, Sammy." She replied, and I just frowned.
She really doesn't trust me with her vehicles, and that's so sad to know. But she's just concerned for my safety anyway. So, yeah, I find it sweet.
"Please?" I begged her while pouting, and she just sighed while shaking her head 'no'.
I leaned in to kiss her right cheek. Then she looked at me, and I just gave her a reassuring smile.
"I'm just kidding, Red. I don't know how to ride a bike. I have never driven one before." I told her truthfully, and she let out a deep breath.
"Thank God for answering my prayer. I just don't want you to get into an accident. Don't worry; I'll let you drive her some other time in a place where it is safe for beginners." She noted with a broad smile, and I'm glad to hear that. I'm so excited about it.
I hugged her tightly and gave her a light kiss on the lips.
"Okay, I'll see you at my house then" I told her, and I went into my Lambo.
Well, I'm just so excited for our date tomorrow, and I have a gift for her birthday that I have been keeping for seven years already. Finally, I can give it to her.

*Claire’s Point of View*
---
"Good morning, Mom." I greeted my mother, who's been busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen.
She kissed my cheek and told me to wait at the dining table.
Today is my day, and why didn't my mom greet me with a happy birthday? She never forgets it since she's the one who gave birth to me. Or maybe she doesn't know what date is today yet. Maybe.
Then a car just stopped outside, and I guess it's Shay now. I'm glad that she's early.
"Good and beautiful morning, Babe! How are you?" Shay greeted me as she kissed my cheek.
Wow, someone's in the mood.
I looked behind her, and there stood her girlfriend, wearing a grin on her face.
"Mornin', Lawr--Claire," Becca greeted and looked around if my mom's anywhere in sight.
Well, that's new. She calls me by my first name when Mom's around.
I just stared at them and waited for the next person to speak. These two are inseparable since they met each other last week. Is this the effect of being crazily in love? I wonder because I miss her. Oh, well, she asked me on a date last night, and I'm a bit giddy about it.
"Oh, hi, Shane, Rebecca! Why don't you join us for breakfast?" My mother greeted them with her wide smile and asked them for breakfast.
"That's why they're here, Mom, for breakfast," I said sternly and crossed my arms on my chest.
Damn, I'm not in the mood. No one greeted me, and they're just so happy like nothing is special.
"Oops! Someone's not in a good mood. By the way, thanks for inviting, Auntie." My cousin uttered and sat in front of me with Becca beside her.
"Thanks for this, Ms. Lawrence," Becca stated, and Mom told her to call her by her name.
---
After our question-and-answer breakfast with Becca, we're finally ready to go to the resto.
And my cousin told me not to bring any vehicle because I'll just ride with them.
For the whole trip, I just sat silently in the backseat while these two ladies in front of me were flirting endlessly.
I just looked outside the window and turned the music louder on my headphones so that I won't hear anything other than my music.
---
"That's all for today, and thank you, everyone," I said, and we took a bow, then went down the mini stage.
We just finished our shift, and Sammy is not anywhere in sight. I thought we'll meet after my shift here?
I went to the washroom to retouch my make-up and my hair.
And as I stepped out of the room, a smile crept on my face as I saw her smiling like an angel. She's been talking with Becca, and they stopped as soon as they got the sight of me going near them.
"Hey! You're ready?" She asked me and leaned in to give me a soft kiss on the lips. No, I want more. It's my birthday, give me some more. Please?
"Yeah, let's go. Bye, you two! And Clarke, give her a day off." I spoke and waved the lovers goodbye.
Then Becca just saluted and winked at me.
"They're so cute." Sammy let out as she held my hand while dragging me out of the establishment and to the parking lot.
Right now, she looks so hot in her casual clothes, a plain T-shirt and jeans. Simple but hot. Oh, here we go again.
Then she opened the door for me, and I thanked her. She's such a gentle lady.
"So... May I know where our destination is?" I asked her as she started the engine of her car.
"Nothing special; I just want to spend time with you, Red." She replied while sounding not excited.
Oh-kay, I guess no one really remembered that my birthday is today. Should I tell her? No.
"Okay," I answered shortly and looked straight at the road.
I never rode shotgun with her before, and I wonder how she drives. Well, she won the race that she was the only participant in last week. I don't know, but I really have to let her win that time since she drives real slow, and I don't want her to think that I'm competing. Damn, her car is really cool and fast.
"Alright, the first stop... is we're going to eat lunch. Shane said that you hadn't eaten yet. So, yeah." She stated, and I just knew that we'd have lunch together. Mm, lunch date.
