Chapter 34 - Unexpected

*Samantha’s Point of View*
---
A week has passed, and it's Christmas now. This is my loneliest Christmas ever. I am still locked up in my house, and I haven't revisited Red.
Shane visited the other day and told me that Red hadn't woken yet. But, thankfully, the doctor said that she's doing great. My only Christmas wish is that Red and I will be together again, and she will be okay.
Samara has visited me often for the past week, and she went back to London yesterday. She said she'll celebrate Christmas with Mom. I just can't help but wonder why my mother left my father, but she never got married again. I thought she cheated on him?
The girls mailed me letters since they can't reach my phone. And they also gave me gifts.
I had planned to sneak out of the house, but Dad caught me in which I was supposed to visit Red at the hospital and give her a Christmas gift.
"Sam, here." Dad handed me a box while we were eating dinner with my Nana.
"What's this?" I asked him, and he just told me to open it.
It's his Christmas gift to me, and I don't have one for him. I'm still mad. And I'll stay mad at him if he'll not let me out.
"Scarf?" I asked and looked at him weirdly.
"You'll need it. By the way, we'll go to London on the 27th. We'll celebrate New Year there." He asserted, and my eyes went wide.
"What? I can celebrate it here. You go by yourself. I'm fine here." I told him, and he just sighed. I have been a b*tch to him since that time he locked me up here, so he has no choice but to deal with it.
"I have a business trip there, and a friend of mine wants to meet you." He replied, and I'm not interested at all.
"That's very far, Dad. Just... I... Uh, I don't care. I'll stay here. You are the one who said that I could not leave this house." I insisted and was about to stand up to put my dishes on the sink.
"Whether you want it or not, we'll go there. I have to keep my eye on you." He asserted, and I just walked to my room without saying a word.
Now, what? Does he want to sell me to his business partners? He will be the evilest person in the world.
I need to find a way to get out of here, or I will act like I have a fever. Hmm, maybe I should make myself sick. That's a great idea. And if he'll leave me here alone, well, I will just have the freedom to go to the love of my life. Then we will plan on running away to a place where he can never find us, even if it's in another Galaxy. And we will build our house and be happy forever with each other. Good plan, Sam, good plan.
Now, how do I make myself catch a fever? Hmm, should I let the mosquitoes get in my room? Or eat too many sweets till I get a toothache? Or, injure myself? No, I can't. I'll just go with the first one or the second one. Yeah, definitely the second one. But no, a toothache is tormenting.
I will just welcome the mosquitoes then.

"Try this one, Sam," Samara stated and handed me another gown. This is the third one, and all are so pretty.
My sister and I are currently in a boutique somewhere in Mayfair.
Dad threatened me that if I did not come with him, he wouldn't let me leave my own house forever, so I had no choice. The mosquitoes didn't work at all. Damn it!
But I'm still happy about this because I have seen Samara. He didn't tell me that we will be going here to Mayfair, London in which Sam lives in the other town.
"Can I just have that one, Sam?" I told her as I pointed to the red gown that she's supposed to give me next.
Tomorrow is New Year's eve, and dad's friend is having a masquerade party at a hotel. Like what the actual F, that's so old-fashioned.
But it's elegant.
I felt absolutely happy because I got the news that Red finally woke up and I got the chance to call her because of Sam. She told me that she's doing fine and she hopes to see me sooner.
I'm just so excited to see her again finally. I don't care if Dad will disown me. I just want to be with her.
"Wow, you look good in it, Sam." She remarked, and I looked at the mirror.
Well, this is just perfect. Yep, it's red.
---
"I got a surprise for you." My sister told me as she drives somewhere else after we bought the things that we need for that party.
"What is it?" I asked her, and she just looked at me with an unimpressed look on her face.
"How could it be a surprise if I tell you?" She let out with her cute British accent. She's been living here for a decade, and it really changed her a lot. I wonder where our mother is.
"Okay. Just be sure that I'd be surprised." I told her, and she just smirked.
She stopped in front of a mansion, and we got out of her car.
This place is fantastic! It's more beautiful than Dad's house.
"Good day, Ms. Rivers and company!" A middle-aged lady greeted us and opened the huge double-door. Well, we're both Rivers, Ma'am.
"Thank you and good day too, Felicia!" She thanked the woman, and I just gave her a nod.
Then we walked to a very elegant-looking living room. Damn, this place is enormous! The one that lives here must be so wealthy.
She asked me to sit on the couch and told me to wait for a minute as she went somewhere. I just can't help but look at the place in awe.
"Mara, I still have something to do. What is it that you want me to see? Can't you just tell me?" An eerily familiar voice spoke, and my heart started to beat faster.
I don't know if I'm ready to see her.
I stood up, and as she got the sight of me, she stopped in her tracks.
