Chapter 40 - Marge Who?
*Blair Claudette Cavanaugh’s POV*
---
“Is that all you got, jerk? Hah! You punch like a lady.” I sneered and spat blood out my mouth, and I looked at the half-naked man, who punched me right in my face thrice now using his hard ice fist. This warlock is not going to be alive once I can escape from being tied down to this fudging chair.
“Hmm, for a helpless, vulnerable creature, you sure are still full of yourself, Your Lowness. Don’t worry. I’m just warming you up.” He replied, wearing an ugly familiar grin on his ugly face, and I licked the side of my lip, making me wince.
I hate this. I hate pain. I hate getting cuts. And I hate this human form of mine now. I couldn't do anything to save myself. I have been sitting here in this cage for… I don't know how long. Days? Or just hours? I don't have any idea.
I looked at him sharply, and all I saw was a person who looked like the man who killed my mate and me three decades ago. But it isn’t him. All I know is he is his son.
“Oh, really? Warm-up? Then why are you treating me so fudging cold with that ice fist of yours? Uncuff me, and let's have a one on one match. Come on, let me see if you could even be half of your asshole father.” I said and saw how his hands came back to normal, but I blinked many times to make sure my eyes weren't playing games on me that there were claws growing out of his fingers and black fur up to his elbows. And his eyes turned red.
“Oh, no! That is not fair! Oh, my bad. I forgot. You don’t know what the word fair means.” I remarked and tried to move backward but couldn't when he stepped closer to me.
Fudge this position of mine! My legs are bound to each other while both my wrists are handcuffed behind me, and I am sitting very uncomfortably on this steel chair. I swear if I could get out of here and get back my powers, I’m going to burn this place down to ashes, including those who abducted me. They dared messing up with me!
“Of course! Now, do you know what I love about this epic encounter of us, princess? I love that look of fear in your eyes. You are going to meet your end so soon. Also… the highlight. Do you want to know? It’s going to be so exciting! Your mate would go first. That would be so damn romantic. You both will still meet each other… but in hell.” He taunted with a victorious smile, and I gritted my teeth when I heard his words.
“Touch her, and you are the one going to hell in pieces! I swear you are going to end up like your father and the rest of them I burned!” I growled and clenched my fist as I could feel my heart beating quickly with the extreme anger I felt. They are not going away with this. Are they trying to get the monster out of me again? They are not doing a good job in wanting to see sunlight tomorrow.
“And how are you going to do it? Call your daddy? Your mommy? Haha! No one knows you have been gone. Well… I think you know that in just less than a second, I can kill you now, don't you?” He said, trying to piss me off, and I tried again to think desperately to turn myself into being a vampire but failed for the hundredth time.
F*ck, I’m useless!
I don’t know what spell they put into me, but it’s keeping me away from using any of my witch abilities. And I need one to wish on my necklace to be a vampire again. This is bullshit!
“Don’t worry. I won’t kill you yet. I want to do something fun with you first. Something painful on your part, though. But it would be fun. Let’s try to see how long this human form of yours will stay alive without blood in your veins.” He cackled and showed me the sharp claw on his right index finger, and he brought it near my left cheek.
I moved my head away, but he gripped my hair with his left hand to keep me in place, and I spat at his grinning face.
“B*tch! You are going to meet your end sooner and slowly!” He grumbled, and I just laughed at him.
“That’s enough, Donald! Your mother needs you upstairs. Go. You need to prepare yourself. It's about time. Leave that hybrid to me.”
I heard a familiar voice, and now I know his name is Donald. Pfft! Donald Duck.
He finally let my hair go, and I let out a heavy breath as I tried to tolerate the pain I felt on my face and head.
He left my cage without a word to the newcomer, who came in out of nowhere, and I know this witch has a Mirak’s Crystal with her. Then I saw Donald walk out of the room.
“Finally! The Marge lookalike! Hi! Nice to see you again. I missed you.” I cheerfully greeted the woman, and she lightly waved her left hand that made a chair at the side of this room move near her. And she sat on it while bars were in between us.
“Hello, Blair! You look hurt. Are you okay?” She let out, sounding like she cared like Marge would say to me, and I glared at her for a second.
“I’m fine. Better than ever. Thanks for asking. Who the fudge are you? I know you aren’t Margarette Kendall.” I answered and saw a broad smile painted on her face.
“Oh, of course, not, darling. I am way more beautiful than her. And more powerful. Take note of that.” She replied and crossed her legs, looking at the things she had in her hold.
Then she tossed them near my feet.
These are Marge's pictures.
“I believe that is who you called Margarette Kendall. Oh, I never thought Cashmere lived and raised a child." She said, pretty much can't believe it. And I looked at her face. The only difference she had with my foster mother was her hair.
"No, Cashmere did not raise a child. A monster. She raised a monster who killed her mate, our mate. I should have made sure she really died when she rejected my dear Damien’s proposal to her.” She said and shook her head while there was a little remorse evident on her face.
“What the fudge are you talking about?” I asked her when what she had said went jumbling up in my aching head. Cashmere? Who? Marge?
“Oh, you know nothing about it? Well, neither do I know that she was alive after we killed her. How fantastic, right? Do you want to know the whole story, Blair? I know you are curious, and thankfully we still have enough time until midnight comes tonight. I am certainly honored to meet the girl my twin sister treated as her own daughter. This is an awesome moment. Truly!” She answered, making me stunned by the information I knew about the person who raised me to become the person I am today. This is her twin sister? Oh, I know Marge was a witch. She mentioned she was an outcast Southern Witch, and I never thought she had a sister. And Damien? He was her, what? Mate? Damn! This is crazy!
I stayed silent as I processed the words I heard from this redheaded witch in my head properly.
“My name is Magenta. It sounds better than you, calling me Marge-lookalike. Her name was Cashmere, by the way. Cashmere Fiore. She was the youngest of us four. Well, wait until you meet my other two sisters. They aren’t nice. Especially that you took our Damien, they are as angry as hell at you, Blair. Me, too. It’s only Cashmere, aka your mother Marge, who was the weak one. The softy. They say in every family there is this odd one. What a shame I didn't double-check if she was dead at that time.” She introduced herself, and my eyebrows met in unrest when she said she had attempted to kill Marge. Then I gulped when she mentioned other people.
I have a feeling that they want revenge. Revenge on me. And no, Donald mentioned that they were going to kill Pryce, too. This can’t be happening in reality.
I only hope that my mate has protected herself from these evil supernatural entities. Fudge! I don't even know what happened to our human friends.
“What do you want from me?” I asked her, making a smirk crawl on her face.
“The answer is simple, princess. Life for a life. You took everything from us. You killed four of my sons, the rest of my nephews, and their father. You even have a lot more to pay than just your life or your mate’s life. We are going to kill every single one who you hold dear, just like what you did to us. And the good part of it? You are going to watch. Both of you and your mate will watch before we end your lives. Kill you both as slowly as possible.” She answered with a vindictive voice, and my left eyebrow raised, hearing her threat. The fudge? That’s a lot.
And no, I know that they can't do that. My mate is powerful. The most powerful werewolf I knew my whole life, and she’s part vampire. And my mom? She’s a queen. She has an army, not to mention she’s one of the most powerful Northern Witches alive. Then there’s my super cool Dad. He is the Vampire King! Who the fudge are they kidding? Should I add my cousin and her royal werewolf mate, too? They don’t stand even a tiny chance in fulfilling their sh*tty threat.
I am certainly laughing inside me now. But I should show her that I am afraid. Hell knows what they could do to my powerless human form now.
“That’s… That’s so… scary. Really scary.” I said, trying my best to sound frightened, but I couldn’t help myself to hold my laughter anymore.
“Oh, you think it’s funny? Wait and just sit and see. And note this, Blair Claudette Cavanaugh… We never play fair. Damien would be the one to end your lives after he would be satisfied in witnessing your loss. Don’t worry. It’s going to be so soon. I’m so excited. Do you feel it?” She asserted and smiled.
I wondered why she would say that Damien would kill my family and us. He was long dead. I killed him. I had turned him into ashes. I saw it with my naked eyes before I died. There's no way he would be alive.
She laughed wickedly, and I laughed with her. Well, I am not afraid, even a bit.
And she seemed offended when she stopped laughing and glared daggers at me. Damn, I could laugh at their faces all day and night. They are all ridiculous!
She stared intently at me and clapped her hands twice.
Then I gasped when the wall behind her moved to the left and revealed a cage similar to mine while the person in it had silver chains all over her body.
“Pryce? No!” I muttered, fear rushing through my system as I saw my mate was bloody and unconscious.Download Novelah App
