Chapter 51 - Home Again

*Pryce Winsley’s POV*
---
“Oh, bloody hell! Why are you both seeming like you’ve been from a war?”
“What happened to you?”
“Are you okay?”
Our human friends greeted us as they all stood up from the couch while worry and panic were written clearly on their faces.
Did they have a sleepover here and are waiting for us? But I feel so happy to know they are okay.
“Well, we have actually been from a war… With monsters, ladies. Mhmm. Lots of monsters.” Blair answered them, wearing her usual big smile, and they all looked at us from head to toe and front to back. Then Andrea looked closely at my core as she must have noticed my armor was damaged, but she found no injuries or anything.
“Really? What happened after that moment when everything turned spooky at the academy? We woke up, and it was morning already while the three of us were on the floor. I even got a bump on my head. And then, you both were gone. We also couldn't reach your phones.” Marvy asked us a series of questions, and Leanne followed, “Who was that woman who looked like the late Margarette Kendall, Blair? What did she do to you both?”
“We checked the security cameras, but there were no records that night. And eventually, the CCTV cameras in that building were broken. Is everything going fine, Pryce, Blair? Should we… is there danger? Are they bad people, witches, werewolves, whatever? Abomination? Alien invasion? Tell us so that we can start to panic. And we could prepare ourselves. So?” Andrea blurted out, and I could feel my mate was trying her best to act cool and planning to scare these poor souls.
“Oh, you are not panicking in that state, Drea? Look at your faces. They are pale, and you are clearly fidgeting. I could even hear your heartbeats racing a hundred miles per second. But yeah, in a serious matter, here is what’s going to happen in the next moments of your unpredictable lives. You all should… be… scared... and---”
I held Blair’s left arm and told her something in our minds, “Blair, please don’t scare them.”
“Fine. Not going to, but… can I tell them?” She agreed and asked for permission, and I nodded my head in response.
I know these women felt worried about all our well-being, and of course, afraid of what might happen next, knowing that there could be evil supernatural entities around us out there.
“Alright, here it goes. Listen well, because this might get uncomfortable and really extremely scary… that you might pee in your pants out of fear. Brace yourselves, girls---” Blair began while using a low, spooky voice, and I can’t help but interfere again. Hmm, this freak is always stubborn as she is.
“Blair, please… Alright, listen, ladies, spoiler alert… Everything is fine. It’s okay. There is no need to panic or be scared of now. We already handled everything well.” I assured them and noticed they seemed relieved.
“I’m glad to hear that, Pryce. Thank you. But yeah, go on, Blair. We really want to know what happened. Even if it’s still midnight, we are ready to hear some horrifying things. At least we all know that it’s okay already. Go on.” Leanne said, quite excited, and the two other women agreed with her. Then they all sat on the couch, turned off the TV, and Blair just showed me a bright smile after mouthing me sorry.
“Great! So, I’m just going to clean up myself and change upstairs, and I’ll make you all some midnight snacks.” I told them, and I glared at my girl to warn her not to scare them too much.
“I'm on it, Babe. I can handle them just fine. Take your time.” She told me and winked while grinning, and I teleported into our room.
The first thing that I'm going to do is take a shower and then put on a clean T-shirt and sweatpants.
Oh, that has been the most thrilling, terrifying moment that has happened in this lifetime of mine. And I wish there would be no more stressful things to happen like that ever again.
---
After doing my thing in our bedroom, I decided to go downstairs to check on the girls and head to the kitchen to cook whatever I may find good to eat.
As I stepped into the living room, I noticed that it was so quiet and my mate was the only one here.
“Blair? Where are they?” I asked my girl and turned into my vampire mode to sense anything unusual around our household.
She stood up from the couch and let out a sigh, and I could feel that she was feeling sad and troubled.
“What happened? Where are the girls?” I asked again, and I went near her.
I kind of feel something is not right. What did she do?
She gently held both my hands in hers, and she kissed them.
“I did something, Pryce... T-to them. I need to. It’s for the best.” She confessed with a broken voice, and I led us to sit down.
“What is it, Love? Are they okay? Are you okay? Tell me.” I asked her, worried about our friends and her, and Blair lightly nodded her head.
“I guess so. They’re home. And... I… uh… I made them… uh, I put a spell on them… to forget us… for them to remember that we never came back to life. It’s… I guess… It’s better that way.” She said, and I put her in my embrace as she started to cry. And my tears fell, too.
“Hey, it's okay, Blair. It’s going to be alright.” I hushed her, and she broke off and looked me in the face. Her eyes were green, and they looked like they were grieving.
I know she did it out of something important, a deep reason.
“I’m afraid that they would get hurt again because they know who we are and what we are. I don’t want their lives in danger because of us and their connection to us, supernaturals. I’m scared that there are rebellions happening within our society… as we don’t know if there will be more enemies to come out, now that one has stood upon us to fight and tried to hurt us. I’m scared for their safety. I don't know if I could protect them. I can’t even protect you or myself… What more… them? Forgive me, Pryce. I’m so sorry.” She explained, and I could feel the hurt and concern in her voice.
“Me, too. I don’t want them to get hurt or be in danger because of us. I believe you did great, Blair. It’s going to be fine. Come here.” I pulled her into my arms again, and she sobbed.
“I’m going to miss them.” She whispered, and I nodded my head while I caressed her back.
“I will surely do, too, My Love,” I replied and broke off from the gesture to wipe her tears away and mine.
---
When we had already composed ourselves from what my mate did to our old human friends, I felt like I needed to ask her some important questions.
“Blair, are you sure you did the mind-control spell well? No flaws?”
“Umm… Well, yeah. I… uh, I got a little hard time with Marvy as I needed to reset and modify her memory in remembering that Mr. Ford Herrera still manages the academy, even though an anonymous person has already bought it from him. And some other few things. And we need to tell Ford about it. He’ll understand.” She answered and smiled at me.
“Okay. I trust you. Now, what are we going to do?” I replied, feeling somewhat glad about what she did, and I stood up from the couch.
“I wanna take a shower.” She answered and looked at me with pouty lips.
“Do you want me to come with you?” I asked her, and I saw how her mood changed into a joyful one.
“But you are already done showering, Cupcake. Well, whatever, I could make you wet whenever I want. Let’s go!” She said and offered me a hand to hold, and she teleported us into the bathroom.
“Drop everything on the floor now, Your Highness!” She ordered and crossed her arms on her chest, sitting on the counter near the sink, while a wide grin was plastered on her silly, cute face.
“I’m going to smack your head, Blair.” I let out but chuckled, and her expression turned grim.
“Oh, don’t pretend that you don’t want it, too.  I can feel what you feel. Come on, Babe. The water’s hot and ready.” She teased me, and I bit my lower lip to keep myself from smiling, but I just couldn't help it.
“And so are you?” I asked a question with a very obvious answer, and she smirked.
“Absolutely.” She whispered seductively and began taking off her messy clothes.
She turned on the shower using her powers, and I also started undressing myself.
“Oh, I feel so happy that everything's okay again. And we can finally have quality time together again and sleep like there is no tomorrow again. Fudge, I missed us so much, Sweetheart.” Blair uttered, holding my bare waist, and I snaked my arms around her neck.
Then she kept talking about how crazy we have been from the last moments of our lives. All this and that and those, and I can’t listen to her as I just want to stare at her lips moving and see how happy she looks right now.
“Can you shut up and just kiss me, Blair? You really talk too much, don’t you? We have more time for that later, you know?” I told her, and thankfully, it shut her up.
“Oh, sorry. Of course. As you wish, My Queen.” She agreed and leaned near me to capture my lips with hers and finally kiss me.

I grunted and slowly opened my eyes as I felt movement on the bed that caused me to wake up. And the first thing I saw was my best friend’s unhappy face while she was standing near our feet.
“Hey, good morning, Cassie! What’s up?” I greeted her, and I could feel Blair beside me was about to wake up, too.
I sat up on the bed, rubbing my eyes and stretched my whole body, and Cassie stepped down and headed to the couch to sit.
“Morning? It’s three in the afternoon, girls. Wake the hell up, Blairie! What made you both tired yesterday? Last night? It was Saturday. You both have no classes!” The intruder blared, and my mate groaned in annoyance and threw a pillow at her cousin.
“Oh, we binge-watched a TV series, and we slept at two AM. What are you here for, anyway?” I truthfully told Cassie and asked her, and she picked up the pillow on the floor. She let out a breath and looked at us, wearing a stern face.
“It’s your coronation tomorrow, Prycie. I just want to know if you are ready. And Alison wants to have a word with you. And… I’m also here for one very important thing. Very important, Blairie!” She answered and glared at Blair, who just peeked by the sheets.
“What? What did I do? That doesn’t sound fun, Sander. And neither does your face show it’s fun. Are there butts needing to be kicked? Then that would be fun.” My mate whined and sat upon the bed, and I went out to comb my hair.
“Mhmm. Indeed. It really has something to do with what you did, you moron!” Cassie answered and threw the pillow in her hold back to Blair with more force. And I wonder what my best friend is talking about that would involve my mate.
“Let me guess… Did Mom find out that I failed Aunt Alexandra's exam about the Garden of Eden Wildflower and its uses? Damn, that sh*t was hard as fudge. Who would pass that? I even cheated. But still, no luck.” My girl uttered, a bit frustrated, and her cousin shook her head.
“Nope. But you’re right. According to Mom, none has passed that exam on the first take. You can do great next time, dear cousin. But yes, it’s not what I am here for.” Cassie replied and cleared her throat, and we both looked at her and told her to go on.
“What is it then?” I asked her and teleported beside her since I could feel that this was quite serious.
“Well… Blair, do you remember that last month you put a mind-control spell on our human friends? Leanne, Andrea, and Marvy?” Cassie asked and intently looked Blair in the eyes.
“Uh, yeah. We… umm, are they okay? Have they called you since that time?” My mate asked, and I grew curious about her concern.
“Mhmm. They didn’t just call me. The b*tches freaking went to my house this morning to ask about many, many, many things about the two of you! They showed me pictures and videos of you that you were with them in many places. They are there right now in Ontario, and I just excused myself to go to the toilet. Now, how the hell are you going to fix this crap you made, Blair Claudette Cavanaugh-Sperova? Your mother doesn’t know any of this, and we all don’t want her to know because we all know that she is going to whip your ass. Yeah, that is my purpose in going here.” Cassie ranted, blaming my girl, and I slowly turned to look at Blair.
She sheepishly smiled and just showed two peace signs.
“No flaws, huh?” I asked her, and she chuckled guiltily. Then she teleported beside me, and I kept glaring daggers at her.
“Oops! I’m so sorry. I didn't know it would go this way. No one knows. I’m not perfect. But fine, I’ll revoke it. It would be easier that way. We’re coming with you, Sander." She apologized and asserted.
We both know that she should not put another mind-control spell on them, or else it would cause severe brain damage and more trouble for our poor human friends. She shouldn't have done that in the first place.
Damn, just as I missed those girls, and I would want to invite them tomorrow for my big day.
I hope it will go well, though.
It's about time. My time. I know I can do it because I have Blair with me. I'll never ask for more as long as we are together. And I am sure that we can protect everyone dear to us with the power we have as one.
