Part 46 [✓Epilogue✓]

PART 46.
[✓Epilogue✓]
Xyrel's POV
I sat slumped in my hard hospital chair, clutching Hades' limp hand, my tears landing on his pale wrists and dampening the sleeve of my dress. Tubes protruded from his nose, rising and falling steadily with each breath.
"Please Hades, wake up," I begged, my voice breaking. "I can't do this without you." I laid my hot, tear-stained cheek against his cold fingers.
After minutes that felt like hours, his fingers twitched, leaving a trail of goosebumps along my arm. I shot up, straining for a glimpse of his eyes under heavy lids. Slowly, they opened, hazy and unfocused at first, then landing on me, clear and full of warmth.
A sob escaped my lips as relief flooded my body. I ran to call the doctor with shaky legs, my heart thumping in my ears.
The doctor soon arrived and observed Hades until he fully woke up. After checking his vitals, the doctor smiled at me.
"Congratulations, Mrs. Lavisca. Your prayers have been answered. He's awake now."
I started crying again and grasped the doctor's hand. "Thank you, Doc. Thank you so much."
"My pleasure," he said warmly. "I'll give you some time." He gently tapped my shoulder and exited the room. I watched him leave, feeling immensely grateful for their help.
"Hades," I said, approaching my husband.
He smiled and brushed my hair with his hand. "Stop crying, please. It hurts me to see you cry."
"I'm sorry. This is all my fault."
"Shhh, it's not your fault," he assured me. "How's our kid? Is he okay? Did he get shot?"
I smiled and gently touched his face. "He's fine. He's with Mom and Dad. He's not allowed here."
Hades nodded, smiling. "Thank God. I couldn't forgive myself if something happened to him."
I held his hand again, gently rubbing it. "It's alright now. You're fine and he's fine. I'm so happy." Warm tears fell again and Hades tenderly wiped them.
"Thank you for being safe, my dear wife. When I saw you running as Havier pointed his gun at you, my world stopped. Losing you would be death to me. I can't lose you. Seeing you safe and sound right now makes me genuinely happy. Thank you for being safe." Tears glistened in his eyes. I lovingly wiped them.
"Thank you as well, my dear husband. For being alive. For waking up. Thank you for letting me talk to you now and feel your warmth. Thank you, husband." We hugged each other tightly,  feeling safe and whole in each other's warmth.

((After One Month))
Hades returned to the office of their father's business, and before long, it became his own. Our lives started to run smoothly, and we found happiness and contentment with whatever we had.
One important lesson that I have learned about greed is that it often leads to negative consequences. When people become overly focused on accumulating wealth and possessions for themselves, they may start to engage in unethical or illegal behaviors like fraud, theft, exploitation, or endangering others to get what they want. This harms others and damages relationships.
Greed can also be personally harmful. An insatiable desire for more can cause stress, anxiety, and dissatisfaction with what one already has. People may become increasingly selfish and neglectful of the needs and feelings of others.
The key lesson about greed, therefore, is the importance of balance. We should strive for success, but not at the expense of others or our own wellbeing. We must achieve goals in a respectful, considerate way that values integrity over excessive material gain.
Moderation and gratitude for what we have are better paths to happiness and wisdom than the pursuit of endless riches. True wealth comes from healthy relationships, not heaps of possessions.
After everything that happens, I can say that our life will only become better.
Tyler is currently overseeing the Empire along with Kyro, continuing to grow the business. Hades' parents are now living in the Lavisca Mansion together with Grandpa. We often visit there because Mom and Dad also want to be with and bond with their grandson, Walter. My child has grown up with a good heart, kind, and a bit mischievous. He never fails to make our lives better, happier, and more relieved. With all the things we've been through, I believe we can overcome whatever challenges we may face in the future.
"Now let us welcome our dearest beautiful bride", the wedding announcer announced and I smiled. Today is our second wedding, and a proper one. The first was different because Hades didn't love me then - his expressions were cold, rough and bored. But now, we're marrying with mutual love.
As the church doors opened, I could hardly contain my joy. Tears of happiness spilled down my cheeks as Mom and Dad escorted me down the aisle.
I smiled through my tears when I saw my son, Walter, waving at me and holding the ring box. "Walter," I said his name lovingly, heart swelling with gratitude and love for my precious boy.
I noticed our guests. Ayesha caught my eye, tears streaming down her face as she smiled radiantly at me, mouthing "I'm so happy for you." I chuckled lightly at the sight of her and Tyler handing her tissues.
As we neared the altar, my gaze settled on my husband. Hades stood tall and strong in his sleek black tuxedo, his hair neatly combed, eyes shining with joy and love as he beheld me. My heart leapt in my chest at the sight of this man who I was marrying for a second time, but this time with true, deep love.
We joined hands as the priest began speaking of promises renewed and love reaffirmed. When it came time for the vows, Hades spoke first, his voice clear and unwavering:
"From this day forward, you shall not walk alone. My heart will be your shelter and my arms will be your home. I give you my present and my future, in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, as long as we both shall live."
Tears fell anew as I spoke my vows to him:
"You are my safe place, my home and my heart. I promise to love you faithfully, to trust you wholly, to honor you completely, and to be yours forevermore."
As we exchanged rings and were pronounced man and wife for the second time around, his kiss was full of promise and joy, sealing our vows and rekindling the flame of our love. The crowd cheered but all I saw was him, my husband, holding my hand as we began our new life together this time with understanding, patience and unconditional love.
"Congratulations," the crowd cheered happily and I smiled through happy tears, feeling grateful beyond words for  this special day. I had never dared dream that this day would come -  marrying the love of my life for a second time, but this time with true, mutual love in our hearts. So much joy, relief and love welled up inside me in this moment. I remembered our cold, loveless first wedding and marveled at how different things were now.
After exchanging vows and kissing as husband and wife, we made our way to the reception. Hand in hand, we walked through a sea of smiling faces and well-wishes.
Hades squeezed my hand, smiling lovingly. "You look radiant, my wife."
I beamed up at him through happy tears." And you, so handsome and dear to me."
At the reception hall, we shared our first dance as husband and wife to our favorite song. As Hades held me close and we swayed to the music, he whispered how happy I made him. I rested my head on his strong, steady heartbeat, feeling content, cherished and overjoyed to finally call this wonderful man my husband for real and not by force.
In those private moments in his arms, all the years of trouble and turmoil between us seemed to fade into insignificance. All that remained was the love that now tied us together, everlasting as the music that accompanied our wedding dance. I glanced up at Hades and saw joy, devotion and promise in his gaze - all the sweet emotions a heart can feel finding its perfect match.
Happiness welled up inside me, bringing fresh tears to my eyes. Tears of joy for this new chapter that was beginning for us, filled with hope and possibility. As I laid my head back on Hades' chest and tightened my arms around him, I knew our story had truly just begun.
"I love you," he whispered, pressing a kiss to my hair. "More than words can say."
"I love you too," I replied, tightening my arms around him. "With all I am."
Then it was time for the toasts. Dad spoke first, choking up as he talked about walking me down the aisle again, this time to the right man.
"To my daughter," Dad said, tears in his eyes. "May your love grow ever deeper."
Walter raised his glass. "I love you mommy and daddy," Walter said, smiling at us. "Though sometimes you guys are crazy." The guests laughed. Walter's toast with a juice in his glass brought laughter and tears as he reminded us of our crazy yet loving family. Even Ayesha spoke, admitting she never thought she'd see the day we married for real.
Ayesha smiled through tears. "Never thought I'd see this day. But I'm so happy for you both. To second chances at true love."
After the toasts, we cut our cake - a three-tiered masterpiece that tasted as sweet as our new beginning. I fed Hades a bite and he gently wiped the icing from my lips, stealing a kiss that made our guests cheer.
"My beautiful wife," he murmured against my lips.
As I heard the crowd cheering and applause all around, I couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed. Hades took my hand and squeezed it gently, sensing my discomfort.
Leaning in, I whispered "Take me away from here, my dear husband. In your arms is where I long to be."
Hades smiled softly and nodded. "As you wish, my wife."
He led me away from the dance floor, away from the watching crowd, to a quiet corner. Taking me into his arms, he held me close and pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead.
In that moment, it was as if we were the only two people in the world. All I could feel was his steady heartbeat, his arms around me, and his love that filled my heart to overflowing. I looked up into his eyes and saw the devotion, tenderness and affection I had always longed for.
"Thank you," I said softly. "For being here. For loving me."
"Always," he replied. "There is nowhere else I'd rather be than right here with you, my darling wife."
"Our life has just begun," he added smiling.
I gazed into his eyes, full of joy and love. "And it will be wonderful as long as we're together, my dear husband."
One of the most valuable lessons I've learned about love is the power of commitment, perseverance and patience.
For me, loving someone means making a choice to be there for them through all life brings, not just when it's easy. I vow to stand by their side through challenges and change, growth and discovery.
I know love that lasts requires sacrifice, compromise and forgiveness. Over time, difficulties will arise but true love endures. It means being there for each other in both good times and bad.
Love that never surrenders is a love willing to fight for what it believes, even when obstacles seem insurmountable. I believe it's worth putting in the effort  to overcome hardship, find compromise and move forward together.
When I choose to love Hades, I vow to be there for him through every season, working in partnership to build a strong bond grounded in patience, understanding and compassion. In doing so, I not only strengthen our relationship, I also learn important lessons about myself - my values, priorities and what truly matters.
As this chapter of my life story closes, I'm filled with gratitude for the hard-won lessons. Love's greatest power indeed lies in its steadfast refusal to surrender, even - or especially - in the hardest of times.
Thank you for joining me on this journey, for reading my story and walking beside me through love's toughest hurdles. I couldn't have navigated them without your company and support along the way.
As I turn the page to the next chapter of my life with my husband, I do so with hope in my heart. The magic of love has taught me there are always new beginnings, for those who commit, struggle and persevere through it all.
My wishes for love, happiness and joy go with you always. I'm grateful you shared this journey with me, readers. May love find you, in all its wonder.

Tyler's POV
The newlyweds left the venue, and I smirked. It looks like they're heading straight for their honeymoon.
"Ew, Tyler. Don't smirk like that, you look stupid!" Ayesha blurted out. I turned to look in her direction. She had been drinking since earlier.
"What did you just say?" I asked, furrowing my brow as I leaned closer to her face. "Did you just call your boss stupid?!" I asked her in a serious tone. She froze, realizing that I am her boss.
"I'm sorry, boss," she pleaded for forgiveness, bowing her head. I smiled and shook my head in disbelief. As I was about to distance myself from her, she accidentally grabbed onto me, causing us to fall to the cold ground. The guests started looking at us. I quickly stood up and helped her to her feet. It seems like she's really drunk.
Author's Note: Who wants their story? As I said, there isn't one. Hehe, thank you for reading, guys. This is the end of this book. Love you all!
