THE TRUTH: Abduction

“This is the command, and he announced that it is absolute," a man said. “It isn’t irrevocable and arbitrary.”
Derrick woke up inside the unfamiliar car. Hearing such foreign voices, only a fool could stay ignorant of what was about to happen.

He groaned when he moved his body as the electrifying pain made his back suffer. It must be because of the impact of the collision between the two vehicles.
He started examining the whole situation. He looked at the window but it was dark all over the place. He could feel the car was moving sideways.
Derrick started unbuckling his seatbelt. As he turned his head to overlook his side, he saw the unconscious Jerson. He looked at Jerson in horror as he saw him drenched in blood.
What the hell had happened?
Derrick unbuckled Jerson’s seat belt and examined Jerson's body. There were deep cuts on Jerson’s back and there were also scratches on his face as if he was beaten up to a pulp.
Derrick sighed as he started moving. He started by trying to open the car's door, giving his full strength. The car started to move so he immediately stopped.
“I advise you don’t move or you'll fall from this cliff,” the man from the outside said.
Derrick clenched his jaw. “I’ll kill you," he swore.
The man with gray hair laughed. “Won’t you beg us to let you go?” he asked.
Derrick smirked. “Do I look like a fool to you? If you’re planning to let us go, you won’t even dare to put us in this situation.” He shrugged his shoulders. “I don't beg beggars.”
The man laughed out loud. “I really like your courage and I like your friend’s affection for you. He almost died trying to save you, and he begged me to let you go and kill him instead. Sweet isn’t it?” the man spits out. “The once proud heir was begging with his knee on the ground. It was a great scene, eh? You should have seen it all if you weren’t weak, boy. He could have run away and saved himself if he didn’t care for you. This man was strong enough to save himself but he won't have the courage to leave you as if his life was in your hands.”
“Fuck you!” Derrick shouted. “I'll kill you!”
“Tell me that once you have already escaped from your misfortune and you're strong enough to kill me.”
The man turned his back. He mounted his bicycle and drove away.
Derrick clenched his jaw. Once he and Jerson escaped from the car, he’ll definitely find that man and kill and torture him to death.
But they have to escape first.
Derrick tried to carefully open the car's door but it wouldn’t open. It needs a lot of force but the car would definitely fall if he exerts too much strength. He needs to be extra careful.
Derrick was busy trying to think of an escape.
Jerson groaned in pain as he felt a piercing pain all over his body. “I'm still alive?” he asked and chuckled. He thought he was really going to die. Those men almost beat him up to death.
“Don’t move,” Derrick immediately warned.
Jerson chuckled. “Fool. How could I move in this kind of body? I felt like dying,” he stated with his shaky soft voice.
Derrick pressed his lips. “Hang in there! I’ll definitely get us out of here,” he declared.
Jerson nodded. “Though, I wouldn’t mind you leaving me here.”
“What the hell are you talking about?"
Jerson remembered the pictures that those men showed him again and he felt the hole in his heart ache. His grandfather's body was lying on the ground, lifeless. Jerson chuckled softly as he sat still and said, “Those men, before they attacked us, killed my grandfather. Before I could even see my old man, they already killed him.” He bit his lips. “I have no one now.”
Derrick pressed his lips as he couldn’t process what Jerson said. The old Ferrer! The master of the Ferrer estate died?! Derrick clenched his jaw. What the hell is happening?
“Y-You still have us,” Derrick said.
“They don't want me, Derrick. They want me dead. Though I would still risk my life for them if I had the chance.” Jerson felt his heart break into myriad pieces. He couldn’t even tell his grandfather that he was thankful for everything his grandfather had done for him. For protecting him all his life.
Derrick shook his head. “No! Listen to me—”
“You don’t have to explain anything to me, Derrick. I know everything and I know how they felt about me. I know because they showed it to me. They have to break me over and over again just to make me feel how angry they are,” Jerson softly said. “I’m tired. You know, I’ve been begging for affection so much that I felt pity for myself.”
“Please—”
“You will be saved, Derrick. I called your friend to save you.”
Derrick shook his head. “Let me speak, you idiot!” he shouted. “We’ll get out of here together! We’ll heal your wound! You’ll live!”
Jerson chuckled. “You look ugly when you cry like that,” he said. “But I am sick, tired, and I want to die. At least one of us will live and I wouldn’t live to be your substitute again.”
“What?!”
“Noah hasn’t told you, has he? That they let me enter their life to be your substitute. Though we’re so much different, our physics could be passed as siblings,” Jerson explained. “I loved Vishnu.”
“Listen to me, Jerson—”
“But the one he wanted was you.” Jerson chuckled.
“Fuck! Let me speak!” The car moved a little as Derrick shouted.
The sound of vehicles was fast approaching their area. Jerson felt alerted and said, “Tell them there are bombs all over the place. Be careful not to—”
It was too late. One of the bombs had exploded and that triggered the other bombs to blow up.
No one got hurt. In fact, the bomb wasn’t designed to kill the person who was planning to help Derrick and Jerson.
It was designed to shake the ground and move the car.
Derrick held his breath when he felt the car move down a little while Jerson remained silent as he felt something was piercing his back.
“Save Derrick! Faster!”
It was Vishnu’s voice.
Derrick immediately held Jerson’s hand and shouted, “There are two of us. Jerson was hurt! Save him first!”
Jerson sighed. “Derrick, only one of us could get out of here,” he said as loud as his voice could for Vishnu to hear. “If the both of us leave the car, the bomb will explode and that would make the cliff get destroyed and every one of us will fall.” He brushed off Derrick's hand. “They choose you, Derrick. They knew there were two of us here, after all, I am the one who called for help. And my body wouldn’t make it out alive from here. I would probably die due to blood loss.”
“They will save us!”
“B-But I want to die! You have a higher possibility of survival. I have nothing while you have everything," Jerson said softly. His voice was croaked. “You have to live happily.”
Vishnu grabbed Derrick's hand without looking at him.
That’s right.
You have to save the one who you truly love. You don’t have to look at a disgusting slut. You have to know who your priority is.
Jerson smiled pitifully while looking at Vishnu trying to save Derrick.
As Derrick got out of the car, Vishnu immediately hugged Derrick. Alec and Van immediately ran to them to check if Derrick was hurt.
Jerson closed his eyes as he felt his tears building up. His tears fell as he could feel the car slowly losing its balance.
He acted to be brave but he was scared to death. He bit his lip. He was in the brim of death and he still couldn’t tell Vishnu how much he loved him.
While closing his eyes and as he felt the car start to fall, he whispered as if talking with the air, “I love you Vishnu. I love you so much. And I regret nothing.”
