GOLDEN LINE: Prey to Hunt

“Don’t you miss me?” Kier asked as soon as he entered the Ferrer mansion.
Kierson, who was reading a newspaper while enjoying his coffee, immediately grimaced. “You go inside and out in this mansion like this was yours,” he pointed out. “Anyway, I am sure you have news for me.”
Kier plopped on the sofa next to Kierson. “Serve me my tea first,” he demanded.
“I am the boss here, Kier.” Kierson put down the newspaper and looked at Kier. “Have you found out where they are hiding the slaves?”
Kier snorted. “You’re no fun!” he said. “I was in Paris and the men there were hot. Want to go back with me there to find a hookup?” he asked.
Kierson gets the gun behind him. “I was wondering who will be my first target today. I'm glad you’re here.”
Kier laughed hysterically as he leaned his head closer to the gun’s muzzle. “This will bring me to a divert heaven I've experienced so far.”
Without blinking, Kierson pulled the trigger.
The gun clicked but didn’t fire any bullets.
Harvey, who had just arrived, felt his heart drop. “What the fuck are you doing this early? You two are scaring the maids!”
Kierson retreated his hand and kept the unloaded gun behind his back. “We’re just doing our usual greetings,” he answered. “What brought you two here? Aren’t you gonna date? I don’t want to be a third wheel, Mofos,” he added.
“No. We’re here to discuss your broken heart,” Kier answered while laughing out loud.
Harvey threw the newspaper that was on the table to Kier’s face. “You shut up. I haven’t forgotten you are coveting a woman in Paris, you son of a bitch.”
Kierson laughed out loud making Kier glare at him.
“You traitor!” Kier shouted.
Kierson just chuckled. “I told you I don’t tolerate cheating,” he stated.
Harvey clenched his jaw and stared at Kier who was frowning so bad. Unfaithful bastard.
“Anyway, tell me what brought you here. You disturbed my time alone so I hope this is worth consuming my time,” Kier said as he stared at the two having their telepathic lover’s quarrel.
Kier faked a cough. “Wayne Emerson gave you an invitation to a party at the Night Stripped. You can bring anyone you want.”
Kierson snorted. “What might my bastard grandfather want from me? It’s making me damn curious.”
Harvey sighed and looked at Kier and Kierson. “I hope you two don’t make trouble.”
Kier shrugged his shoulders. “I’m cool with it.”
Kierson clenched his jaw. “And I am not cool with it. I might just snap there and kill him once and for all.” He leaned his back and closed his eyes. “That’s my bar for fuck’s sake. He wants me to go berserk.”
Harvey crossed his legs. “That's why I’m coming with you. Jane Draco’s husband is working there. We might find a clue from him if we warn him a bit.”
Kier chuckled as he knew what Harvey meant by the warning. It means to torture the pitiful man to death until he confessed what was being asked. “I thought I was the only insane one here. Why would you torture him if he could sing all songs he knew when you two are in bed?" he asked.
Harvey smiled at Kier. “You want me to sleep with him?”
Kier frowned. “Eww! Fuck! No!”
“Then shut the fuck up. I swear I’ll pull your tongue out if I hear you say another damn word,” Harvey grumbled. He looked at Kierson who was so lost in thought.
Even Harvey couldn’t guess what Wayne Emerson wanted. He had been staying low for three years after he successfully killed Harold Ferrer, the former Master of the house. Now, he’s making a move again. And what made him even more confused was their plan. First, Noah and his team including Vishnu wanted to connect with Kierson by using the union as an excuse. Now, that shameless Wayne Emerson wanted to connect with Kierson using the grandson card.
Kierson sighed. “Prepare the Alpha team to work at the Night Stripped. Make sure that wouldn’t arouse the suspicion of the regular customer. The Beta should take care of the security. We’ll attend this fucking party to see what is playing in my grandfather’s tiny brain.” He balled his fist and sighed again. “Prepare the Gamma team to abduct Jane Draco’s husband.”
Harvey nodded while Kier stayed silent.
Harold Ferrer was a leader of a mafia group. After he died, Soviet Kierson Ferrer, inherited the title of leader. Some of them were against him being the new leader as he was a neophyte that knows nothing.
Kierson was required to show his worth.
After Kierson defeated almost all of the excellent fighters of the mafia behind his hand injury, Kierson gained their respect, and seeing how good he was at management, they eventually swore their loyalty.
Harvey left to inform those factions to do their boss’ bidding. But he still couldn’t stop feeling anxious about what is bound to happen again. Maybe their peaceful days had come to an end.
“Vishnu will be there,” Kier said after Harvey left.
Kierson nodded. “I figured since he was Derrick’s lover.”
“Shouldn’t you call Derrick uncle? He’s your grandfather’s son,” Kier asked.
Kierson laughed. “The old man is my prey to hunt, not a family to protect. I may respect Derrick for saving my life back then. But what can I do? His father plans to kill me more than once.”
Kier looked at the canopy. “So you’re still angry, huh? But you know… the father's son shouldn’t be passed to their son.”
“If that was the case, I should be out of their affair. I was a minor when his father planned to kill me, Kier. Derrick knows that someone was scheming my death but he stayed silent. He saved me out of guilt and I suffered a lot because of his sacrifice. His father should have discarded me since I do not own whatever my grandparents' and parents' fault was. I suffered a lot.”
Kier bit his lip. “Derrick suffered a lot too.”
Kierson furrowed his brows. “Stop right there,” Kierson grumbled. “Just because he suffered does not mean I don't have the right to feel this anger. I deserve to be furious and they deserve my hostility. I worked hard to love myself enough to hate those people who make me suffer.”
Kier shook his head. “That’s not what I meant to say. I am just afraid that you’re wasting your time getting your revenge and that you forgot how to be happy.”
Kierson sighed as he looked up. He had already forgotten how to be happy as his happiness was long ago in the arms of someone else.
