GOLDEN LINE: His Remedy

Blake left after Kierson accepted the flash drive.
Kierson didn’t want to be involved with Blake and the organization Blake was part of but he was curious.
What exactly does Wayne Emerson do to earn such an enormous amount of enemies?
Wayne Emerson was gaining more opponents like he was collecting them — like a typical most wanted criminal.
But what if this was a trap to catch Kierson? Wayne Emerson likes to play dirty games. This must be one of his schemes.
But what if it wasn’t and Blake meant to help him?
Kierson leaned his back again against the backrest of his chair and started looking at the throngs of people.
There was nothing special. No one caught his attention. No one piqued his interest.
Not until Kierson looked up to check the second floor.
His old friends were having a great time, drinking some booze. He immediately retreated his eyes and stood up. The scene was nothing special but it hurt his feelings.
Not that he wasn’t happy that they were doing okay, unlike him. But they saw him fall into that ridge and they were acting as if nothing happened.
If they had forgotten about the incident… if that was the case… then it should be okay. He should move on too.
Kierson sighed.
He walked out of the throngs of people and got into the smoke area of the bar.
He got some tobacco and lit it up.
Inside that room, Kierson leaned his back on the wall and closed his eyes while blowing the smoke. He enjoyed the silence and serenity.
The door moved open but he didn’t pay attention. He should have told the manager not to let anyone get inside the room beforehand, but since whoever it was had already gotten inside the room, he couldn’t do anything about it but wait for the man to leave.
Kierson remained in his position, not giving the person who entered any notoriety.
When Kierson had already finished a stick, he opened his eyes to check if that person didn’t really leave as he couldn’t hear any man’s movement.
Their eyes met.
Kierson immediately furrowed his brows when he saw Vishnu looking at him.
“I didn’t know you smoke,” Vishnu said.
Kierson tilted his head and innocently asked, “You know me?”
“Of course, Jerson Luiselli.”
Kierson laughed. “That’s the second time.”
“What?”
“That’s the second time someone called me with that name. Do I look like him?” Kierson asked. He brushed his hair. “Is he also gay?”
Vishnu remained silent.
Kierson chuckled and asked again. “Aren’t you afraid that I might kiss you right now? You are exactly my type.”
Vishnu furrowed his brows. “Are you always like this?”
“Like what?”
Vishnu clenched his jaw. “Flirty.”
“I’m like this because you’re my type. Is it bad?”
Vishnu didn’t answer.
Kierson put the waste tobacco in the trash bin. “I have to go. It was nice seeing you here again, Director, and I hope not to see you again. I might harass you if you come near me so please keep your distance.”
Kierson turned his back and was about to open that door when Vishnu held his hand.
“I’m a busy per—”
Kierson wasn’t able to finish his statement when Vishnu kissed his lip.
Kierson smirked and licked Vishnu’s lips without closing his eyes. He was looking at Vishnu’s face when he was kissing him.
Kierson bit Vishnu’s lip and smirked again. If only Vishnu was into him, he could have left everything behind and lived happily with Vishnu.
But Vishnu wasn’t. Every time he wished for Vishnu to fall in love with him, the memory of Vishnu saving Derrick without looking at him would replay in his mind and it would hurt him every time.
His fantasy was long ago over and wishing it to happen again might only leave his heart bombarded.
When Vishnu finally stopped kissing him, he licked his lips and chuckled. “You taste like booze, Director. If I was not sober, we might make out in this room and invite some men to be our onlookers,” he said. “Please keep your distance from now on. You taste delicious. I might steal you from your lover. You see… I am very possessive.”
Without looking back, Kierson left the room. He joined the crowd. He clenched his jaw and balled his fist. His heart felt like it was going to explode.
He closed his eyes in between the crowds to calm himself. He had anger issues and bipolar disorder so it was better if he went back to his usual self.
But his temperance snapped when someone grabbed his butt.
He quickly grabbed the hand and twirled it around making the man groan in pain.
Losing all his control, Kierson again grabbed the man’s head and slammed it against the floor making a loud noise from the impact between the man's head and the floor. The man yelled for help.
Yet, Kierson wasn’t satisfied.
The crowd immediately walked away from the commotion. Even though they wanted to help, they don’t want to tangle themselves with a maniac and an insane man.
Harvey immediately grabbed Kierson’s hand but was pushed aside.
“Stop, Kierson!” Harvey shouted.
Kierson remained in his position while grabbing the man’s neck. His eyes were an empty void with no sign of emotions.
Harvey knew from how it looked that Kierson had lost it. He didn’t know what triggered him but this was the fifth time that Kierson had gone insane. The victim of the first four was now sleeping on their deathbed. The fifth victim would be no different from the first.
“What’s happening?” a man behind him asked.
Harvey looked behind him and saw Vishnu, staring at Kierson with his brows puckered.
Harvey sighed. Look what you’ve done to him. Look how broken Kierson is.
Vishnu clenched his fist. “Why aren’t you stopping him?” he asked.
Harvey frustratedly sighed. “Kier was now calling his psychiatrist. It would only take a few minutes before he arrived here. Only God knows if that boy could make it out alive,” he answered.
Vishnu couldn't bear to just stand still and watch the man die so he decided to step up.
Harvey grabbed Vishnu’s hand. “You shouldn’t or he’ll kill you both. He's not in his right mind right now. Even though you are the Director, he wouldn’t be able to recognize you,” he stated.
If he didn’t know that Kierson would forever regret if he accidentally killed Vishnu, he wouldn't stop the man from digging his own grave, but he knew that Vishnu’s death would only drive Kierson insane.
Vishnu brushed off Harvey’s hand and strode towards Kierson who was choking the man to death. “Stop,” he said.
Kierson didn’t stop. Vishnu holds Kierson’s hand.
Without thinking, Kierson let go of the man and looked at Vishnu. He grabbed Vishnu’s neck and pulled him closer.
Kierson sniffed Vishnu’s neck. He smiled and said, “My remedy.”
