“Kier was drugged, Kierson. I don’t know how it happened but when I came back, I just saw him in a drunken state,” Harvey explained. “Jane Draco’s body was already missing and Valenn was found unconscious inside. He was injected with propofol.” Harvey looked at Kierson’s eyes with his knitted brows. “Vishnu and Derrick had already left after you left and I haven’t seen the suspect.” Kierson furrowed his brows. “Have you talked to Valenn? Does he know who the suspect is?” he asked. Harvey pressed his lips. “That’s what makes it more strange. He said it was your mother, Clementine.” “What?!” Kierson exclaimed. “My parents are both dead. Is he serious?!” “That’s right, Kierson. Unless your grandfather lied to you or someone was using your parent's face,” he mumbled. “What about Kier? Is he okay?” Kierson inquired. “He’s okay. I guess?" Jerson nodded and stared at the cutlery on the small table. There were also pipes and on the other table were pliers and scissors. The same day after his four guests left the estate, Wayne Emerson’s people came to disturb the whole manor. Kierson personally caught one of the intruders and locked that person in his torture room. His people caught three intruders and the other unlucky intruders were dead on the spot. Kierson lazily looked at the man who was tied to the electrical chair. He got a small plier and walked toward the man. “You don’t seem to be the guy who’d dig his own grave," Kierson commented. “Tell me who ordered you to invade my estate,” Kierson said. The man remained silent. Kierson started folding his dress shirt’s cuff up in his sleeves above his elbow. His tattoo became visible. The veins in his hands are protruding. “You have 20 chances to answer my questions, equivalent to the total number of your nails. Once you fail to tell me, I would pull one nail after another. If you don’t tell me who it is after 20 chances, I won’t kill you. Instead, I’ll cut your tongue and your limbs.” Kierson licked his lips. “I caught three of your colleagues, dude. I am sure one of you will spill the tea and your sacrifices will be wasted.” Kierson smiled as he held the man’s hand. “Who’s your boss?” Kierson asked. The man remained silent. Kierson rolled his eyes as he gripped the man’s nails using the plier's tip. The man groaned in pain as Kierson pulled his nails out. Blood gushed out after Kierson took out the nail. “Who ordered you to come here?” Kierson asked again. Still, the man remained silent. Kierson smiled. “I like loyal men, dude but in this situation, you should know that being a loyal dog won’t help you get out of here. Didn’t you hear the news that the Ferrers had gone insane? Should I show you how insane I am?” Kierson pulled the man’s nails again. After a few minutes, the man remained firm and didn’t spill anything. Kierson lit up a cigarette and started puffing the smoke from his mouth while looking at the man who was suffering from great pain. Kierson got the alcohol on the table and poured it on the man’s wounded finger. The man yelled in pain again. Kierson chuckled. “I’m getting bored here, dude,” he said. Kierson walked toward the man and pulled out the man's tongue using his hand and scalded it through the cigarette. Harvey closed his eyes as he could not bear to see it anymore. “Why don’t we try the cutlery?” Kierson asked himself. The man felt his tongue was burning in pain. He looked at Kierson in horror when he chose the scalpel. The man gulped. “The police chief,” he confessed in panic. “The police chief told us to disturb your manor as a warning.” Kierson hasn’t met the new police chief yet so he didn’t know why he would want to harm him. “I thought it would be Wayne Emerson or Alex Ferrer.” The man nervously gulped. Seeing the man get nervous, Kierson knew that the man wasn’t telling him the entire truth. Kierson sighed. “Would you like me to investigate the police chief, Kierson?” “Yeah. Do that,” Kierson agreed. After he heard the order from Kierson, Harvey immediately got out of the torture room. Kierson got his phone and contacted Kier. After a few rings, Kier answered his phone. Kierson immediately said, “Harvey will leave a few minutes right now. I want you to lock him in a secluded room in the basement. Confiscate his phone and make sure no one would come there except for you and me. Cut all of his contacts.” Without too many questions, Kier obeyed what Kierson told him to do. Kierson started to untie the man on the electric chair and wrapped the man's hands with a bandage. Now, he knew Harvey was the rat. The way Harvey made the story regarding Jane's corpse held too many loopholes. First, Kier wasn't dumb to be drugged like a fool. He doesn’t accept drinks or foods from other people, especially foods that may contain drugs. But… What if the person who gave him that was the person he trusted? And Valenn was the type who always had his guard up. He knows how to fight. If he was injected by the person he trusted, then Valenn falling asleep because of an injection wouldn't be surprising. The only one who got out of the morgue unscratched was Harvey. Besides, whenever Harvey was lying, he would look at the person's eyes with knitted brows. Kierson didn't know if Harvey realized that habit but he observed that during his years with Harvey. After doing the first aid to the man, Kierson carried the man in a bridal style and get him out of the torture room. One of his men got the man from him and immediately got out of his sight. Kierson sighed and leaned his back against the cold wall. “Gentle as ever,” Kier stated. “I didn’t know that you'd realize it so fast, Kierson. So what will you do now that you know who the rat was inside the estate?” “We’ll investigate Alex Ferrer and the Police chief.” “Why? Are they connected to Wayne Emerson?” Kier asked. Kierson gritted his teeth. “If my hunch is precise, The new Police Chief and Alex Ferrer are one. They are the origin of all of this mess.”
