They locked eyes. Shinai’s expression turned stony. She lightly push him in the shoulders, putting the distance they had before Edon decided to closed it off by getting closer to her. She turned her head to see what’s happening. Their teachers were locking eyes too. Miss Cassidy smiled and suddenly she was looking like not as exhausted before she told the class that she was. She turned to Edon again who was looking at her, intently gazing at her. She went to reach for him. She smiled, wishing to erase the sudden awkwardness between the two of them. Edon smiled back. He reached for her hand that tugged her, holding it with his. Both smiled at each other, before Edon gently removed his hand on hers. “I’m happy whenever I see people looking genuinely in love.” She started, her eyes not leaving his. What she said is true. It’s true that she’s happy whenever she saw two people, having the look of love in their eyes, reciprocating the love to each other in the purest form. It’s because that is something she secretly dreamed for, genuine reciprocity of love between two people. She loved that idea. She also wished that a love like that will someday appear in her life, and she hoped it’s something lost-lasting. When it arrived, she will secure it like the way she held packages that arrived from her online shopping. The love must be stable, unwavering, can stand even during tests and trials of time, and something that will last not like her parents. She grimaced at her thought mentally. She’s bashing them again in her head. If her mom will know she will definitely make objections on what she thought of. Her mother will then comment that she and her father did love each other dearly. And that she was brought out in the world, conceived with the love that blossomed between her mother and her father. Her eyes were still of course, staring at the guy in front of her. Edon was nodding at her. Edon approves. “I will take note of that, Nai.” He stared. There’s willingness, determination lies and it’s shown in the way he is now looking at nai. “Will make it happen.” He was still staring at her with an amount of magnetic look, it’s intense. And it shocked Nai for a bit. “We will make it happen, Nai.” He showed her the same boying smile he always shows. “Someday.” The quality of his intense stare, Nai still doesn’t know what had just happened to Edon. She went to touch his forehead. “You don’t have a fever.” She checked his face. “And you looked happy, healthy. You are okay, Edon. I think there’s nothing wrong with you. But you’re acting weird.” She flippantly teased him. The conversation, she thought that it was not just a joke. She knows that when Edon is on serious mode, it just means that he is really being serious about whatever he’ll talk and promise about. She brushed the feeling off of her again. They’re just young. Edon and her, they were still young. They are so young for that. It takes enough maturity to compromise in giving the love like what she thought of. A lot of things can still happen. Nothing is set in stone. Edon then suddenly smiled at her. His eyes went to look in front. He put his head above his palm. His hand was placed on the desk. There is still that determined look on his face. A confidence. “It will happen.” He shot her his gaze again. He was still smiling at Nai. “You just wait and see.” He then wiped his smile off and showed her a smirk instead. Nai was not moving. She stared at him. She couldn’t process what he said. It’s not registering in her mind. Her brain is staring to act fuzzy. She’s persuading herself that Edon is just being silly, that he was joking. It was a just a joke, she persuaded herself. She turned her head in front too. Edon doesn’t even look like he’s planning to explain his words in more simpler terms. She doesn’t get it. How can he talked of such things with the look of certainty that he will make it happen? “And I’ll go now.” Mr. Sanzer spoke to Miss Cassidy. He eyed the students. “Please be good to her.” The class started mumbling. Cheers and squeals, and claps can be heard inside the class. Their teacher both looked at each other in adoration. Before Mr. Sanzer excused himself and left the room. Miss Cassidy too. She said somethings before she followed Mr. Sanzer out of the door. “He’s such a material.” Linda said. She was focused on looking at their teachers, ignoring the fact that the person she’s talking to is on the phone. Kent wasn’t listening. He was wearing his headphones, getting lost with the songs he’s listening too. Shinai turned her head. So she does find their teacher as a dream guy material too. She agreed with her, in silence. “An ideal man.” Nodding of heard followed after than when Maycee spoke of it. “The man of my dreams.” Roone smacked Sunny in the head. “Stop please! Don’t dream about it.” Roone looked disgusted at what Sunn said. “Whatever, Roone. He’s the man. The man I have been searching for all of my life. I finally found the man of my dreams.” It was obvious that Sunny is getting lost too with her daydreams. “A teacher? The man of your dreams, a teacher?” Roone throw her a look. “And you, a student?” Roone began shaking his head. He was trusting his gaze of scepticism. “It’s disgusting, that studentxteacher tandem? That won’t end well. If that happens, the teacher will probably lose its job.” “B-but. But, it’s a cute trope.” Sunny was protesting, refusing to acknowledge what Roone said. “If that happens, then they can keep it as their little secret. They could wait. Then they can go public. Announced it once the girl graduates.” Roone’s mouth hanged open as he stared at Sunnt with wide eyes. He slowly closed his mouth after showing her that he was shock. He was shaking his head. “If their relationship can last till the girl graduates.” Hachiko intervened. She was looking like emo today. She went for a darker make up. She smirked at Sunny who was staring at her the same expression Roon showed. “You’re killing fantasies.” Sunny whined and slumped the side of her cheek on the desk. “You’re welcome.” Hachiko answered before she started applying another dab of her black lipstick. “You need to go out and touch some grass.” Roone softly uttered. Sunny leaned her head to the other side to better access Roone. “What?” Roone glared at her. “Grass, Sunny. The ones from the family of Poaceae, the monocotelydon herbaceous plants which are called “grass” by ordinary people. The ones that dominantly covers 40.5% of the land area of the Earth, except Greenland and Antartica.” Roone started explaining. Sunny’s mouth was the one who was hanging open this time. “You still don’t get it? Grass, Sunny.” Sunny puffed a breath out of her mouth. “Oh stop it, smarty-pants. I don’t need many more of your lectures on grass. Shut your mouth, open it again or all smack your head too this time.” She haughtily remarked. Roone moved her fingers across his mouth, showing her that he’s now sipping it. “Consider it shut. But you know, you really need to go outside the room and touch the grass on the campus’ open field. That scary imagines written in books is really creepy.” Sunny rolled her eyes at him and turned her head, ignoring him. Roone frowned at her. Shinai was focused on listening to her friends banter before she saw Sienna walking towards them. Sienna went to Edon and whispered something on his ear. It made Edon smile. Nai’s eyebrows furrowed. She’s starting to hate what Sienna is doing. Nai felt something in her chest again when she saw it, like a jolt and it’s painful. She tore her eyes at them. She felt like someone’s eyes were on her, she turned her head, feeling Silver’s eyes on her. She stared at him. She’s done, what she felt for her is gone. She doesn’t like Silver anymore. She felt it strongly this time.
