Chapter 104. Clearing Names.

“Don't want to tell the truth to Aini?” Lia's firm voice surprised Salsa. Now the two of them are sitting together in the campus canteen, while Aini has her last class before she will return to do her internship. A small smile appeared on Sasha's lips.
"Shouldn't I just be quiet? So, I can see Aini from afar while looking after her.” The wrinkles on Lia's forehead immediately appeared, while she also stopped typing something on her laptop.
“At the very least, you should be able to tell him something. I'm certain, instead of me being able to hold grudges, Aini will forgive you, no matter what you do wrong.”
"Isn't that the problem right there? Aini can never be angry with me or hold a grudge against me. But, if something like that happens and at the same time Leo and Marsha hear about it, I'm just afraid that Aini will be even more in danger.”
The conversation between the two that had started so quietly was now tense. After they found out that Leo wasn't playing games and could even use his life as collateral, none of them could calmly go about their day. Questions about how and the possibility of this happening filled their heads, so it required great effort to clear their minds. Even so, Lia still feels that Aini is entitled to know the truth about Salsa's issue.
After being silent for quite a long time, Sasha finally took a deep breath. "I will find time to tell him. But… I want you to be there too, huh?” A head nod was given by Lia.
“Don't worry, I'll always help you, really.” A smile that was so sincere appeared on the lips of the two women before they finally returned to work for a while. “Starting tomorrow, you will go to Aini's house, right?”
“Hmm, that's how it should be.”
"Don't let Leo know that you're at his house. The problem is, from what I hear, he likes to secretly follow Aini.” Salsa swallowed hard when she heard that. His frown deepened before he sighed and nodded. "Don't think about it. You'll get old quickly, we-we don't want to be responsible for it, okay?” Lia joked.
“I think you're going to get old first,” replied Salsa, both joking.
After being satisfied joking like that, finally both of them returned to focus on the work they had to do. It didn't take long before they finally separated and acted like they didn't recognize each other. Because, based on what Arjuna said, anyone could spy on them to report to Leo. The odds were so dire that they had to be careful.
At first glance, when Lia was with Aini, she saw Salsa, who was alone. Something in his heart told him to say it, but at the same time he was afraid. Of course, Lia's action caught Aini's attention, so she followed Lia's line of sight to meet Salsa who was being stared at from a distance. When he is alone, he looks so sad and lonely too. At first, Aini wants to act normal, but she herself feels sad because she can't be by Salsa's side. Even though they used to look so close, what happened now?
“Lia, want to talk to Salsa?” Lia who was called, was surprised. He raised his head and looked at Aini confused.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, talk to Salsa. Miss him.” Llia bit her lower lip, unsure whether she should say it or not. Actually, he could have done it, but remembering Arjuna's words, he chose to swallow it all for himself. He also wore an annoyed expression and pretended to be angry.
“Why talk to people who have insulted us? Come on, let's go back now.” Even so, Aini didn't budge at all. He was still staring at Salsa, who looked so sad. A serious and tense expression appeared on her face, now Lia realized that she would not be able to stop Aini. Whatever he said, his best friend would not listen to.
“It's okay. I'm sure he must have his reasons. For that reason, I want to hear his opinion, I would like to know from his perspective.”
Seeing her best friend walking towards Salsa, Lia looked panicked. “Aini! What are you doing?" Lia immediately tried to chase and arrest her best friend, but Aini still insisted on meeting Salsa. When she was in front of the woman, Lia shook her head.
“Sa, I want to talk to you.” At first, Salsa was surprised when she saw Aini, but when she saw Lia's attitude, she understood. Because of that, he immediately made his facial expression into one that showed annoyance. “Sa, I would like to talk, and you have to answer me honestly.”
Now Lia and Salsa realized that they couldn't avoid Aini anymore, so they sighed at the same time. It was clear that this made Aini confused and looked at them one by one. Unable to bear to explain the problem, Lia immediately pulled Aini's hand gently before telling her to sit down. A confused expression was neatly printed on Aini's face, she didn't understand what was going on at all.
After being silent for a while, Lia finally started the conversation. He knew very well that Salsa would not do it. It took quite a while for Aini to digest everything Lia said, until she finally understood what had happened, Salsa still didn't say anything and instead lowered her head, feeling ashamed of herself. How could he be so stupid and not fight back all this time? In fact, Aini already loves him very much and is full of understanding.
Still deep in her thoughts, suddenly Salsa feels a hug from someone, none other than Aini. In her arms, Aini kept scolding Salsa for not telling them, even though they would all always listen to her and be by her side. All these words made Salsa's eyes water, while Aini had cried a little. This sight was watched from afar by Arjuna. Seeing this friendship that felt like it would never stop brought a smile to man's lips.
“Next time, if there's a problem, tell me right away, Lia, OK?” Lia, who heard that, only nodded her head to emphasize Aini's words. A small smile appeared on Sasha's lips.
“Yes. I apologize for everything I said, okay?” A chuckle left Aini before she rubbed Salsa's back.
"Just calm down. I can never hate you. Even though you're not as close as Lia, for me, you're still a friend that I can't replace. Because of that, too, I won't want you to date someone like Leo. Later, let me talk to him, okay?”
Lia and Salsa shook their heads at the same time. “No, no need! I already have a way out. So for now, you don't have to do anything, okay? If possible, also follow Leo's words first. Even though she doesn't really want to, Salsa herself has no choice. He was afraid that this would bring trouble to Aini. Although slightly confused, Aini nodded her head.
“I believe in you. But remember, okay? If you require something from me, don't forget to tell me and Lia. I can also be a superhero for both of you because you guys have done the same for me!”
