Chapter 107. Hero

Arjuna, who was resting himself, was surprised when he heard his cell phone that kept ringing. Unlike when someone called her, this time it felt more like someone trying to text too many at a crucial moment. Because of that, Arjuna immediately checked his cellphone and saw that all the messages were from Salsa. His eyes widened in panic when he saw Lia's name mentioned and combined with danger. Arjuna, who was originally tried now regained consciousness of the existing situation.
Glancing at the watch on his wrist, Arjuna could see that by now Lia should have come before he went to his apprenticeship. For that reason, he immediately left the room and tried to contact Lia, but did not get any reply from her. The panic inside Arjuna increased when he saw many students entering the campus area. How could he find Lia from so many children?
“Lia, why didn't you pick up the phone?” Even when he was trying to find Aini, he remembered that the woman had returned to her apprentice today before she finished her work there. “Lia, what are you doing, anyway?”
“There is still construction going on, right? If you're not careful, there could be an accident, like in a horror movie.”
“Don't say that! What if it really happened?” The two children who spoke like that ended with a chuckle.
“But, I'm sure the lecturers here will be careful too. If I'm not mistaken, as far as I know, it's been sealed there so no one gets past it, right?”
“Development?” For a few moments, Arjuna was silent, he seemed to think before remembering the intended development, being close to the division Lia entered. Therefore, he immediately ran to arrive at his destination. “Lia!”
Even though he had gone to the place where the construction was taking place, Arjuna still could not see Lia's whereabouts. It is unlikely that something bad will happen right away, but Arjuna must always be careful with Leo and Marsha. The two people clearly had such bad thoughts that they couldn't see the good in someone. Therefore, ordinary punishment will not work on them. There must be extreme measures to be taken.
Arjuna's eyes never get tired of looking around him. As soon as he saw that figure that was recognized even in his heart, Arjuna immediately ran. He pulled the hand of a none woman other than Lia. His pull, which could be said to be forceful, made Lia giggle for a few moments before falling into Arjuna's arms. At the same time, one of the small pieces of iron used for construction fell. In fact, Arjuna felt sure that the iron had been left upstairs.
“Are you okay?” asked Arjuna in a low voice. Lia, who still didn't understand this situation, could only blink her eyes confused. He looked at Arjuna, the road, before at the iron that was where he should be standing now. Did he almost have an accident? “Lia? What is it? Is there any problem? Why …? Anyone sick?”
Lia shook her head, still confused. “Just now… what was it?”
“That…,” started Arjuna who then bit his lower lip, he felt very hesitant to say it. “It doesn't matter. The most important thing is that you are okay.” What Arjuna said clearly made Lia feel a little scared, so she let go.
"I want an explanation! What do you mean by saying that? If this has something to do with me, then I also have to listen and know what this problem is and why!” The facial expression given by Lia at this time was full of anger, she did not accept Arjuna's attitude who pretended to try to protect her. In fact, one could say that she hated him a bit. Because of that, Arjuna lowered his head, not daring to look at Lia any longer. “Tell me! Explain to me everything! I'm already in a bad mood because of Salsa, who left like that this morning.”
“Salsa … tell me if ….” Arjuna was silent again. Hearing that name mentioned, Lia felt that something was wrong, and therefore, she glanced around to make sure that the condition was possible before pulling Arjuna away, trying to find a safer place to talk about this matter.
"Tell me all the problems. And I would rather not hear you half talk.” Lia exclaimed when they were in a quiet area. Arjuna even paid attention to his surroundings and knew that there would be no people passing by in that area, calming himself down a bit.
Lia didn't know at all whether this was because of the atmosphere or something else, but she could feel her heart beating fast, especially when she was fully aware that now she was alone with Arjuna in the campus area, like two couples who were secretly looked for time to spend together. As soon as such a thought occurred to Lia's mind, she immediately shook her head to clear the strange thought from inside her head. He just had to focus on the problem at hand now, looking for answers to this strange behavior and incident that had just happened before him.
Perhaps this was quite a difficult thing for Arjuna to say because no matter how long Lia waited, the man still didn't say a word. Even when he was being stared at intently, he still didn't budge. Obviously, this made Lia feel both frustrated and angry. Why doesn't he say everything now? Did he have to hit him first to get Arjuna to talk? That thought was also quickly dispelled by Lia before she finally took a deep breath, surprising Arjuna.
“If you would rather not say anything, I'm leaving now. I can't stay on campus all day.” Lia was just about to take a step away from Arjuna before she held the woman's hand. The expression he was giving now was one of pity, saying that he would say it now and not to go. With a small sigh, Lia finally returned to her place. “Just want to talk?”
"That… Salsa sent a message to me earlier, saying that if you want to destroy Aini, you must destroy it from her best friend first. And coincidentally… Marsha knows you, he will try to find a way to harm you like Leo who will do anything to Aini.” Arjun's stammering explanation had to be processed by Lia for a few moments. As soon as she realized what she meant and why Arjuna was like that, Lia's face immediately turned red.
“S-you idiot! I can take care of myself! I don't need your help with stuff like that!"
Even so, Arjuna still wore a pitiful expression. “Can you really take care of yourself? Do you know what almost happened just now?” Now it's Lia's turn to bite her lower lip. “Therefore, let me be someone to take care of you, shall I? I won't bother you, as long as I'm given the chance.”
“Stupid,” muttered Lia. Despite saying that, it was obvious that her face was red from embarrassment. “What do you want to do, I don't care? As long as you don't bother me or do anything weird again like that. Even though… there are many kids watching you.” Arjuna only gave a small smile.
“As long as I can be a hero for you, I don't think people's views will be a problem. Because the most important thing is that Lia is fine.”
