Chapter 110. The stalker.

Since what Leo said, Aini couldn't calm down at all. Even when he was about to leave for his apprenticeship, he felt that if someone would pay attention to his movements, they would later report this to Leo. Imagining such a terrible thing happening to her, Aini was obviously becoming increasingly silent. The feeling of confusion ate Lia alive, no matter how hard she tried to make Aini speak, her best friend chose to keep her mouth shut. How could Lia now not worry more about him?
“Calm down, Ai. It's all only in your mind,” said Aini, who tried to hypnotize herself, saying that there was nothing to worry about. Indeed, it is easier said than done. Still, Aini looked around with fear of seeing someone she didn't want.
“Isn't he the one?” The deep voice surprised Aini. He was walking until he stopped in his tracks. Taking a deep breath, Aini ventured to look around. Thought that he would meet someone. However, his expectations were wrong.
"Yes, that's right! That person! Yesterday, he came to my shop.” In her view, Aini could see two people having a conversation, they staring at the cell phone in hand. A sigh of relief came out of Aini, it turned out that she was just thinking too badly. Everything he had assumed was wrong. No one was trying to approach him.
“Aini, don't think about weird things. Just focus. That's right, focus. Leo can't possibly use violence; otherwise he won't get anything.” After confirming that there was no danger, Aini took a deep breath and muttered to herself, trying to calm herself down again. There's no way anything bad could happen to him. In that case, he just had to take it easy on everything.
“Have arrived?” One of Aini's coworkers gave a big smile. He greeted Aini who returned with a polite smile.
“Yes, is it still too much again?" Aini's co-worker nodded before offering coffee. Hearing the word coffee made Aini excited, so she nodded her head enthusiastically.
As soon as a cup of coffee was given to her, Aini immediately sipped it and drank it calmly. It felt like all the tension that had filled him from that morning had disappeared. Now he was just left with questions. Was what he felt just now a coincidence, or was someone trying to follow him? That question had no answer, and therefore he was now faced with a new question, whether he should tell Lia. A matter like this seemed to have been brought up, but what if he was just assuming?
It's not about the embarrassment she feels when she makes a mistake, but the feeling she feels bad for Lia when she makes things difficult and the fear that she will continue to haunt her even though the problem is over. Thus, AIni felt that he should at least confirm everything before he started explaining the subject. With a calmer mind, finally Aini said her thanks and headed to her place.
As Leo said, Aini kept her distance from Dave. He only talked to the man when necessary, to the extent that in his heart he had said the word may many times. He didn't mean to act cold, but it seemed he failed in doing so. Every time Dave saw him, Dave's facial expression immediately became sad, it was clear that he felt a little hurt and disappointed. Even so, Aini could not say her apologies to Dave.
“Thank you for the hard work!” exclaimed the workers in the office, Aini was no exception. He smiled at the others. For a while, Aini did feel a little awkward, many of the people around her had said that because they heard rumors about Leo, but now they are silent.
"What if we eat together tonight? I will pay as a token of gratitude for your hard work.” Cheers erupted from all around when he heard Dave say that, it wasn't often that boy would invite people in the office out for a meal. In that frenzy of happiness, there was only one person who remained silent. Of course, Dave realized this. “Is there a problem, Aini?”
The woman immediately looked up in surprise. “E-eh? It is nothing.”
“Then you are fine with dinner today?” Aini who was asked directly like that, scratched her neck awkwardly. He already knew what he should answer, but still, he felt bad for having to refuse it. “Oh, you can't, can you? Sorry, I was presumptuous.”
“No, no. It is not like that. I'm truly grateful for being a back too, but as you know, how about Leo… I think it's better this time I don't go. Once again, I am sorry.” The apology must have been heard by the others, so they looked at Aini with curiosity. “Excuse me, okay? I have to go home already.”
“Ah, yes. Okay. Be careful on the way.” Dave's voice clearly showed how awkward he was, at the same time he felt guilty and sad because he couldn't help Aini at a time like this.
“Aini, make sure to come another time, okay!” exclaimed his coworker who was answered with a nod of his head.
When out onto the main road, Aini immediately exhaled. He didn't understand why, but his body felt very heavy, like he had just lifted a very heavy weight. And for Aini, she felt very unlucky because at that very moment, she felt someone walking behind her. He and Lia decide to meet, luckily without Salsa, for a meal out. Every time Aini took a quick step, that person would definitely do the same. Because she couldn't take it anymore, Aini decided to run as fast as possible to get to the place where she agreed with Lia.
Unfortunately for Aini because the sound of the footsteps also got faster. Aini's body was already full of sweat, while her breath was panting. Occasionally, Aini glanced behind her, hoping that she would not meet or see the person chasing her. When she looked ahead, Aini could finally see Lia who had already waved her hand enthusiastically. The smile also looked so wide, but when she saw Aini running as hard as she could, Lia could only frown and wave slowly. He attempted to see who was behind Aini only to see a black shadow.
“Aini!” Lia exclaimed excitedly, feeling that Aini was in danger. The friend replied to this response in a halting voice, until finally Aini hugged Lia, deciding to whisper in her friend's ear.
“I think someone is following me. That's why I ran.” Lia rolled her eyes, from this position she could see the shadows running past them, like someone who had nothing to do with them.
Feeling the vibrations of Aini's body, Lia immediately patted Aini's shoulder, trying to calm her down. “He's gone. You don't need to be afraid, I'm here, so no one can hurt you. I'm sorry I couldn't be by your side earlier. But now all is safe.”
