Chapter 114. Relationship Honesty.

Arjuna, who doesn't usually drink, is seen in a crowded bar. While the people there seemed to be having fun, Arjuna actually looked like someone who was lost. From the drink he drank, the way he dressed, to the expression on his face. It doesn't describe the happiness there at all. It was clear that he was waiting for someone, otherwise how could Arjuna be in a place like this. After taking a look at his surroundings, a sigh escaped Arjuna before he took a sip of the juice specially made by the bartender in front of him. A look of confusion and displeasure appeared on the bartender's face.
“Waiting for someone?” The softer sounding voice of the bartender startled Arjuna. She looked at the man before nodding. “Woman?” Arjuna quickly shook his head.
“No, friend, a man. Colleagues too,” said Arjuna briefly, he didn't feel the need or the need to explain his relationship with Sean at all. Again, it wasn't like he was going to see the bartender again, so why was he going into such detail? Realizing that Arjuna didn't want to be chatted with, the bartender chose to go to another table for casual conversation.
“You've been waiting long?” The voice of his very familiar friend made Arjuna squint his eyes. Of course, Sean, who saw was very surprised. He took a few steps back with his arms raised defensively. “Y-yes, sorry, I would rather not get stuck in traffic.”
A grunt escaped Arjuna before he ordered Sean to just sit down. He no longer had the energy to argue with his best friend on this one. While waiting for Arjuna to prepare himself, Sean, who was already sitting beside him, called the bartender to order his drink. When he heard Sean drinking alcohol, a big smile appeared on the bartender's face before he glanced at Arjuna with a slightly irritated expression. Of course, this caught the attention of his friend.
When Sean's eyes stared at the drink ordered by Arjuna, he realized and understood why the bartender didn't like Arjuna. He himself could only shake his head, unable to understand the actions taken by Arjuna. Sometimes, even Sean himself couldn't understand Arjuna's mindset and actions. Like that man is destined to have many secrets. Not wanting to be too bothered by past events, Sean just shook his head.
“Why don't you drink? You look like you need a drink, though.” That statement was answered with a shake of his head by Arjuna, obviously making Sean raise an eyebrow.
“Tomorrow I have class. Can't drink.” Arjuna's brief explanation, although describing everything, made Sean feel a little annoyed. He again waved one hand as if to ask Arjuna to mind his own business, he would not ask again. “You too… don't get drunk before I finish the story.” A sigh escaped Sean as he placed his glass on the table.
"Yes, yes, I understand. So, what do you want to talk about to make that expression?”
"About Aine. When I met you… how was he?” Again, Sean raised an eyebrow with a questioning look, asking for a more in-depth explanation. "Is he afraid or complaining about what? You have also reported the two people you were stopping, right?”
Sean nodded in agreement, now understanding where their conversation was going. "If you're afraid, it's obvious that he's afraid. He also seemed shocked, as I explained before. However, at the beginning he looked like he just accepted it, not caring what would happen to them.” Arjuna, who heard that, immediately, lowered his head, he really felt guilty of Aini. “Lo… since when did you become this concerned with outsiders? Not only Aini, but Isa too. Do you like them?”
Arjuna's frown deepened when he heard that. It is certain that what he feels for Aini is not love, but does he really like Lia? The question strangely haunted him. He quickly dismissed the topic as well, for now, he only needed to focus on Aini and nothing else. He also felt that the time had come for Sean to hear what he had been avoiding telling.
“Before I say, you have to promise me first.” Sean blinked his eyes confused, not understanding what Arjuna meant. “Promise first.”
“Ah, yes, yes!” Sean shouted and ruffled his hair. Every so often he couldn't get used to the nature of Arjuna, who was a bit pushy and also fierce. Knowing that Sean was unable to take his words back anymore, Arjuna finally drank his drink until it ran out.
“Me and Aini… have a special relationship. It's so special that no one else can imagine.” Sean's eyes widened when he heard Arjuna's words. What kind of special relationship? Why is the way he talks like someone who is rambling? If it were like this, it would be hard for Sean to believe what Arjuna said next. Even though he didn't drink alcohol at all.
“Woi, if you talk about finishing it first, don't be half measures!” grumbled Sean, who shook Arjuna's body. The shaking was so strong that it woke Arjuna. Not because he was drunk, but the man clearly looked so exhausted that he looked like he might pass out at any moment. A sigh escaped Sean before he patted Arjuna's cheek. “If you want to sleep, better go home now, I'll accompany you.”
“I'm scared, Sean. I'm afraid that Aini… I can't protect it.” Arjuna refused to be pulled up by his friend. He actually lowered his head, his words also sounded not too clear. Annoyed and frustrated, Sean looked around and gave an awkward smile to the bystanders.
With one pull, he made Arjuna look at him. “Yes, you are afraid of everything related to Aini. But why do you feel like that? There must be a reason, right? Tell me.”
“That Aini…,” started Arjuna, who suddenly looked deep into Sean's eyes. The person who was stared at dumbfounded, he could only silently accept the glances of his best friend. At least, he had to endure this to be able to clearly know his relationship with Aini. “Aini is… my cousin. Aini is related by blood to me. If I fail to protect him… it's the same as if I failed to protect my own little brother.”
Sean, who heard this, did not expect at all. He blinked his eyes a few times, repeating it for the umpteenth time until his mouth opened wide. What did he just hear? What did she not hear you correctly? Was Arjuna earnest about it? Does Dave even know this fact? All the questions filled Sean's head, but he was too shocked to say anything. Now he can only look at his best friend's body lying on the table, completely exhausted with all the problems that exist. After a few minutes, Sean finally came to his senses and took a deep breath.
“If it turns out that Aini has blood relations with you… I can't help much, Jun. But on the one hand, I'm certain that you can protect Aini, because your love for Aini is not fake. I will support you and help you as much as I can. Keep it up, Jun. I'm also certain... Aini will be happy if she finds out that you are her cousin. Don't give up now, OK, Jun.”
