Chapter 53 EPISODE FIFTY-THREE

Yes of course! What do you think that you are doing? How can you, my elder brother, my mentor and confidant, betray my trust, to the point of searching for my woman? Leave Anu alone! She is mine!" Femi yelled at his brother while Anu stood in apprehension, unable to believe her eyes.
"You dared enter my office, to disturb my peace of mind? I will not rant with you, but rather teach you a lesson you will not forget in a hurry." Babajide sat in his chair, relaxed, and fully collected.
Anu felt he was about to do something silly. He became unusually calm and she had a hunch that Femi, Dele Badmus will be in trouble. She ran to Babajide and knelt before him, pleading on behalf of Femi.
"Get up Anu, don't be silly. This has nothing to do with you. I have over indulged this guy. He wants to prove to me that he is a man. Fine and good."
"Anu, please get up! Stay out of this. It's my fight. I know that he wants to buy your love, but I am here to dare him. All he spends on you and your brother is to make you fall in love. He is not sincere at all." Femi uttered, watching Babajide narrowly.
Suddenly, three hefty men came in putting on police uniform, saluting Babajide.
"We are here sir." They declared.
Babajide calmly pointed to Femi and before Anu could raise her voice , they picked him up, like a small baby and took him away.
"Please, Babajide, don't do this!" Anu kept on pleading for him.
Femi was taken by surprise, he could not talk, he kept mum, but tried to wriggle free but to no avail. He tried to fight but he was no match for them.
Anu watched helplessly, as the men looking like police took Femi away. She later perceived that they were security men in the company. He had used a device, possibly, alarming devise attached to his table to invite them.
Money is good oh! She thought. But how to make Babajide change his mind is another matter. Who can she call to do this? No one..
Then a thought came to him. She used her feminine touch to get him do his bidding.
"Babajide! " Anu called his name and he looked at her. She gave him a very attractive smile to turn him on. He responded by standing up and coming over to where she was by the window side.
She drew closer to him and gazed into his eyes, he smirked.
"What do you want my love?"
She moaned closing her eyes.
"Do you love me, Babajide!" Anu asked still closing her eyes.
"Yes you know I do, with all my heart, don't you?" He replied with his deep voice that sent burning desires into her.
"Okay, take me out to a restaurant". She demanded.
"Well, that's why you were here in the first place."
"I know but I will never be happy to know that my friend, Femi,is in a cell. Please, for my conscience sake, release him and then we go. By now he will be sober."
"Yes, good idea. Consider this done right away."
He took her by her hands and left with her into one of his jeeps, driven by one of his numerous drivers.
He took her to one wonderful restaurant, called, Sweet Sensation, with assorted African dishes, soups of different types, like Edinkaikong, (mixed vegetables) Egusi,( Melon soup), Ego euro,( green vegetables soup) All sorts of meat like Snails, Beef, Chicken, Goat meat, Ponmo. Her appetite revived at the sight seeing the dishes.
He ordered for a two wraps of semovita, and mixed vegetables, plus fresh fish pepper soup and other types of meat. She had a great time. She returned with ice cream , cakes and roasted chicken for Iyin and Femi.
Iyin was there to welcome them into the house.
"Hey welcome back, Sister Anu." Iyin hugged her.
"Thank you Iyin. How are you doing? How about Femi?".
"Femi came back moody so I stayed away from him, since he was not in a good mood. Maybe you will go and cheer him." He advised.
"Yes, I will."
"Welcome back sir. I see that you both enjoyed yourselves. Hope you bought something for me? I trust my sister.".
"Oh it's only Anu you trusted ?" Babajide asked trying to pull his legs.
"Well, you are a very busy man sir. I don't want to put any big burden on you, more than it's necessary. " He chuckled softly.
"Smart kid. You are doing well."
"Sir, I noticed you are well relaxed today. I mean that you look refreshed. I hope you will do this more often.
"Hmmm, I hope so too." Babajide said, looking at Anu. She looked away feeling shy.
They all moved into the house, while Iyin helped with the items they bought for the house.
Anu was not too comfortable with what transpired earlier today. Femi is no doubt grumpy.
She got to her room and started to lament.
"Have I not caused trouble between two brothers?" She muttered, not knowing Iyin was standing by the door of her room.
"No not at all." Iyin replied.
"You are a small child. Can't you see that both of them are in love with me?" Anu uttered feeling like sharing this with someone.
"I noticed that they have turned rivals because of you. But I do not care because uncle Femi should leave you alone. I want Uncle Babajide."
"Is that your thought? How about Bayo? Do you know that I have been dreaming of him. I'm seriously in a dilemma. I don't know what to do? I must confess that I am in love with Babajide, but love is not enough. I have already entangled myself with Bayo. What do I do? Ayomide needs to have a good home where both father and mother would be present."
"You are right my sister. Put everything in prayers. God will lead you aright.
