Chapter 59 EPISODE FIFTY-NINE

Babajide couldn't sleep at night. He kept on tossing and turning on the big bed. He touched part of the bed at a time and yelled out.
"Ah, I need the right woman to occupy this bed! Does it mean I have lost Anu? I was foolish to have listened to my brother. Ah, please Lord, let her return to me." He prayed earnestly.
Babajide made up his mind to see Anu in the university of Ibadan, where she was schooling.
By the morning, Iyin was ready for school, but he came out very late, unlike him.
Femi who is also called Dele, was waiting for him to come out. As soon as he was out ready to go to work, Femi stood up from where he was sitting, fidgeting, looking troubled,
Please, my bros, I need your time. I'm not myself again!"
Babajide was shocked to hear him talking with him, because he had been keeping away from him. He hardly converse with anyone.
"Are you by any means talking to me?" Babajide asked, wondering why he looked ruffled.
"Yes bros, I'm not okay please, I have to confess." Femi knelt down before his elder brother, Babajide.
"Ah ah, is it so serious?"
"I have not been sleeping well for days. Anytime I tried to close my eyes, I will see masquerades, and forces of unrecognizable people beating me silly. I have lost my peace, my inner peace. I need to see Anu and her friend Righteous. Ah! I feel like fire is burning me."
Babajide became confused. He kept on thinking it could be one of his pranks. But gazing into his eyes, he looked serious!
"Okay, when do you want us to go?" That was the only thing he could say at the moment.
"I wouldn't mind now!"
"Wait, it cannot be now, because I have series of appointments today."
"Please my life is at stake here. I need to see them right away. Cancel your appointments, whatever. I will die if you don't go with me!"
He started to cough, and thinking he would stop. It didn't stop, rather it grew worse.
"Let's go to the hospital. "
He shook his head and refused, pointing out.
Babajide knew that it had gone beyond his control. He put a call to his secretary, his deputy director in the office and his protocol officer to cancel all appointments for the day.
They set out, but Iyin alighted in his school, while they continued the journey to Ibadan. They got there in three hours because of the go-slow on the way. Police, Soldiers were on patrol , traffic control officers were checking vehicles, so it took time before reaching the university of Ibadan.
Anu and Righteous came out to see, them. Babajide, Femi with another man they picked along the way came down from the car as soon as Anu and her friend got there . Femi insisted on the man following them to see Righteous.
Righteous looked at the man who followed them and opened her mouth very wide. Shock was written all over her face. She pointed at his face and the whole hotel saga came alive.
"You, I mean you! What do you want here?" She yelled, with tears flowing freely from her eyes.
The man knelt down before her and started to plead for mercy.
"Anu, remember the man who forcefully wade into me at the hotel? Can you remember? He is the criminal that sent some men to bring me that time."
"Oh my God! Then why are you here?" Anu demanded.
Femi uttered with all soberness, "Please, listen to me girls, this is my best friend on campus, Joe by name. The day I came here to see you Anu, then I met your friend, Righteous. I left here to see Joe my friend, because he resides here in Ibadan.
He is a building engineer with a construction company. I gisted him about the two of you. He told me that he knew Righteous since childhood. He said that he has been looking for her. We both agreed that I will give him her number. That was why I collected her number from Anu." Femi narrated.
"Okay, then what happened?" Righteous uttered, feeling impatient.
"Listen Righteous, since the day I slept with you when we were both young, my heart has been knitted with yours. I have not forgotten you at all. Though it was a mistake, but I desired to see you.
Femi never knew what I planned, it was later I told him, and he got angry with me. Righteous please pray for me, I have sinned against God and you. Lead me to Christ." He broke out weeping profusely.
Anu went and hugged Righteous because she was weeping too. Anu prayed for Joe and led him to Christ.
"Please, I still have confession to make, Anu." Femi begged.
"Femi, don't you know that I am tired of seeing your wicked face?" Anu responded harshly.
"I'm sorry for lying against you before my elder brother. Please, my brother you can marry Anu. I mean that you are too good to me. I owe you a lot in my life. I have always repaid you with evil. That is why God punished me severely.
Please Anu, I know that you do not want to marry me, but please marry my brother, Babajide." Femi pleaded.
"Okay Femi, I have forgiven you. But marrying your brother will be hard….."
"Please Anu, I need Christ in my life." Babajide interrupted Anu.
"I need Christ more please." Femi uttered.
"Wow, this is awesome!" Righteous was clapping hands.
"Hey, look who is here?" Anu pointed to the couple walking towards them.
"Oh my God, Doctor Sam and his beautiful wife!" Righteous exclaimed in excitement.
Righteous and Anu rushed to greet them and introduced their guests all the way from Lagos. It was a great time.
Both doctor Sam and his wife, prayed for all of them. They promised to follow them up to the satisfaction of Anu.
"How about Bayo, sister Anu?Go and reconcile with him, He needs you."Mrs Mabel Samuel spoke.
"You are right ma. I will give him a call."
"That will be nice."Mrs Mabel Samuel replied.
Bayo! Hmmm, Bayo! God help me! Anu bent her head in pain.
