Chapter 23 The library

Antony had just woken up, he was now living with Marcus, he had actually abandoned his home to that bastard Cauã.
At this point in his life, he didn't know what else to do, he was formed, with everything in place, he didn't know what to do.
He stretched and sat up in bed, he didn't know the times Marcus worked, he believed he hadn't worked that night and had already left for the hospital.
She heard two knocks on her door, and immediately deduced that it might be the doctor,
- Come in.
Antony said a little louder than the natural timbre of his voice.
Opening the door, Marcus saw a disheveled Antony, sitting on the bed with his torso bare, showing that the lawyer was muscular, his skin tone was as white as snow, he looked like Snow White's brother, which wasn't true.
Marcus ran his eyes over Antony's body, which caused the doctor's libido to increase, his blood pumping to his lower body, his arousal inevitable.
- Why are you looking at me like that?
An asked with fear in his voice, he didn't know how Marcus would react knowing that the lawyer had realized that he was literally eating him up with his eyes.
Marcus looked away, sniffling, trying to disguise the inevitable.
- Nothing.
The doctor said as he left the room, running like a dog afraid of firecrackers.
At first, Antony didn't understand why Marcus had run away from him, but then he thought it might have turned him on.
What he didn't understand was what the doctor would have been turned on by, he wasn't even a beauty, let alone having provoked a man, who even Antony didn't know if he was from the valley or not.
The truth was that at best Marcus was straight to the roots of his hair, there was no way a man like that could be gay, let alone like Antony.
The lawyer's thoughts were confused and scrambled with various hypotheses running through his head.
He suddenly decided to leave the room and go after Marcus, his curiosity would not rest until he knew why he had run away.
It's true that he had guesses, but none of them were certain to be what was going on in his head.
Antony searched the entire apartment for Marcus, but unfortunately he couldn't find him; he had probably gone to the clinic where he worked.
An knew that he couldn't leave the apartment, and the truth was that he didn't want to leave, fear dominated his being, he didn't want to leave so that he wouldn't have the chance to meet Cauã, he knew that he was on parole, and he urgently needed to warn Alan that he was in danger of being attacked.
Seeing that the apartment was empty, the lawyer threw himself on the sofa, he wanted to watch something on TV, a series or a movie, but he hadn't found anything he liked, so he went to explore the house, which should be called that, because it took up the whole floor, nothing could be fairer.
He passed through a corridor that gave access to a pile of doors, one next to the other and so on until he reached the end of the corridor, he assumed that the floor had not been built to be a single apartment, but had been adapted into a gigantic apartment.
When he opened the first door that caught his eye, he came across a huge library. Antony loved reading and enjoying a good book gave him enormous pleasure, so there, in that library, which in Antony's view was a heaven in the shape of a room, the shelves that filled all the walls of the place were made of solid wood that held hundreds and hundreds of books, which were organized by publisher and alphabetical order of author.
It wasn't hard for Antony to find where the letter A began, there in the midst of so many books anyone would be lost not knowing where to start, but An was an avid reader, he loved all kinds of books and when he found a certain publisher that published everything he loved, the lawyer felt like a moth in the midst of so many books he could delight in.
One book in particular caught his eye: Emoções em cores e versos by Arthur Souza, one of his favorite poets and novelists.
He opened the book, which fortunately he hadn't read yet, and sat down in an armchair in the middle of all those bookshelves that fascinated him so much.
"Has Marcus managed to read all those books?" The thought came into his head and he decided that he would ask him when he had the chance. Shaking his head, he decided to start reading.
