Chapter 30 Consequences

Alan's mind was a little foggy, he couldn't remember much, he had just woken up, the teacher was in a place he didn't know, and to make matters worse, he couldn't remember how he got there.
"Where am I?" he thought to himself.
It was a dark room, its dark walls contributing to a gloomy air permeating the place, the floor dirty, with rat droppings all over it, with a black dust, thus making the clothes the teacher was wearing dirty, his hands were tied, preventing him from getting up, his whole body ached.
The fear he felt at that moment was unparalleled, his body trembled in response, he thought about all the possibilities that the person who had taken him there had done to him while he was unconscious, he also thought about how he had ended up in this place, and most importantly: how he had ended up there.
When he saw that he was alone in the room, and that there was no noise outside, he realized that no one was watching him.
This told him between the lines that his kidnapper hadn't expected Alan to wake up at that moment.
The fear he felt diminished with each passing second, and he realized as time went by that fortunately for him, there was no one watching him, which would make it easier for him if he needed to escape.
Ben lay in a soft, cozy bed and woke up, a little shaky from the calming medicine Antony had given him. He really needed to rest, which he hadn't done since his return, so he could take what was rightfully his.
His companies were usurped by his uncles, who tried to kill him, but thanks to Alan, he was finally able to remember his life and denounced his uncles, who were arrested for attempted murder.
The last few months he had spent with Alan, living their lives as if there was nothing to worry about, but they were wrong, Cauã had been released by a lawyer, who he now discovered was Antony, the person who had obtained a Habeas Corpus for this fatherless son of a bitch.
At that moment, her eyes still closed, she remembered everything that had happened so far, remembering that Alan wasn't in bed next to her, that her boyfriend had been kidnapped, and that possibly the person who had kidnapped him was her ex-husband Cauã.
His blood boils as he realizes the situation. His head aching with everything that was happening, he curled up in a fetal position, and in a moment of weakness, the tears that were threatening to come down flowed from his eyes in significant abundance.
His face damp, he sat down, leaning his back on the headboard. He knew why he was crying, he just didn't understand why all this was happening to them.
"Hasn't what they've been through been enough?" Ben asked himself in thought.
He couldn't accept that he was going to have to go through all this, fate really was making fun of him.
He closed his eyes, still trying to stop the tears from falling from his eyes, which was practically impossible.
He hadn't cried in a long time, not even when he learned that his uncles wanted him dead.
"But what was different about what I was going through?" He asked himself, afraid to know the answer, but B. already knew the answer, he just didn't want to admit that it was because his love, the only person he cared about, had been taken away from him, Alan had been kidnapped by her energetic ex-husband, yes, that fatherless son of a bitch had been released thanks to Antony.
- How can you hide something like this from me, An? - Marcus asks his lover.
They were in the doctor's home office, facing each other, a rectangular table made of solid wood separating them.
- I... - Antony begins to say, a little unsure about telling the man in front of him the whole truth - I've already told you.
Antony plays dumb.
- What happened you call telling the truth - Marcus says with a certain anger in his voice that consequently makes it rise a few notches above normal. - You should have told me before...
Marcus doesn't finish speaking, he lowers his head and shakes it from side to side, showing his dissatisfaction, also somewhat frustrated with Antony's attitude.
He never expected his lover to act like this.
Antony opened his mouth to say something, he looked down, his hands were crossed over his lap, the lawyer was squeezing them so hard that his knuckles were whitish, he was feeling a mixture of emotions that at that moment he couldn't say what exactly he was feeling.
Frustration, perhaps, but a tightness in his chest was what stood out the most, he really felt guilty, that was the feeling that gripped him, guilt, guilt for having helped a psychopath, who now had the cousin of the man in front of him, the man who had aroused so many good feelings.
The same man who minutes ago had almost confessed his love to him, and who now looked at him like a monster who had helped his cousin's crazy ex-husband.
Everything had been fine a few minutes ago, but at that moment everything had fallen apart, nothing he could do would get him out of this situation, that was the truth, Antony's head, already hot from thinking of a way out of the problem he had gotten himself into.
- We'll have to wait for Benjamin to wake up.
Marcus concluded.
- To...
- To go to the police station, we need to tell the authorities that my cousin has been kidnapped.
- It's true," Antony says with a smile, "they've solved at least half the problem. - We just need to convince B. that I'm no longer with Cauã and tell him what he did to me.
Marcus nods in agreement.
The lawyer got up from his seat and walked around the table to the left, getting close enough to Marcus that he could feel the doctor's breathing.
- Let's continue what we started," An says, moving in to kiss Marcus on the mouth.
