Chapter 109 Eight Years After

Eight years later...
"What are you doing here? It would be best if you went home so I can close the restaurant," Chef Slyvester rudely tried to ask friends to leave.
The four looked at him one by one:
Kyle was a successful architect who managed his family’s architectural firm—Chaylen, who had the most significant shares in his Father’s corporation. Vincent, who declined to own his parent’s business, became a famous singer instead. And Terban, the heir of the Myers Group.
It's been a few years since their college graduation, and they've all gone their separate ways. Despite time passing, they still hang out regularly. Terban and Vince's quarrels have lessened, and Chaylen's relationship with his father has improved. Additionally, Kyle has avoided heartbreaks.
“I am looking forward to the dessert,” Chaylen expressed his excitement about the dessert that Slyvester will be making.
Slyvester removed his black apron and set down his knife. He had already cooked for them without charge, and now they're asking for dessert too?
“Hey! I cooked for free! My restaurant won’t survive if I continue cooking for you for free! Aren’t you all rich? PAY ME!”
While scrolling on his phone, Vincent murmured, "Don't be so cheap." He had just returned after performing in his solo concert, and Slyvester noticed his red hair and makeup.
Kyle defended, "Your restaurant is always full. You can't go bankrupt."
Sylvester is a successful and famous chef known for his numerous cooking shows on TV. He followed his dream by returning to culinary school and building his restaurant instead of becoming the heir to the Ixumi corporation. Everyone in their country knows this handsome chef; his food is good.
"Just be honest," Terban butted in. "You're only sending us away because you don't want us to see your wife."
Speaking of his wife, Ryan entered the kitchen.
"Oh? You're here again?" Ryan asked the four men.
They looked at the woman they loved for many years. Now, she is a mother to her children with Slyvester.
"Sweetheart, are those guys bothering you again?" Ryan embraced her husband.
Slyvester scoffed and responded with a grunt, "Yeah. Huhu~" He turned his gaze toward the group of four men and smirked.
Slyvester proposed to his long-term girlfriend as soon as his wish came true. He hurried the wedding due to the continuous interference of the four men who persistently tried to steal Ryan from him.
"It's frustrating that I can't intervene because they're married," Chaylen said.
"Anyway, why did we all come here?" Vincent inquired as he set aside his phone.
"Hey Kyle, do you have something to say?" Terban reminded.
Kyle scratched the back of his neck shyly. Then he slowly placed an invitation card on the table. "Emily and I have a wedding date. I wanted to invite everyone."
"Whoa!" Ryan gasped. She immediately took the invitation to read. "Rose quartz and serenity are the themes. It's cute!"
"It's only natural that we go," Chaylen chuckled.
"Congrats, bro, welcome to the club," Slyvester offered a fist bump to his friend.
"Thanks," Kyle gave him a fist bump.
"Where's Emily? Why isn't she here to accompany you?" Ryan asked.
"He's in Korea," Kyle announced. "Because she said she wants to see her Oppas before we get married. Tsk."
'She fulfilled her dreams,' Ryan laughed inwardly.
"I'll sing at your wedding then," Vincent offered.
"Of course!" Kyle gasped. "I'm really going to ask you to sing."
"When Vincent gets married, I will be the one to sing," Slyvester said, walking alongside his wife.
"That's impossible," Vincent defended. "My fans are my girlfriends."
"Why don't you just date Gizelle? She has been courting you for a long time," Chaylen teased Vincent. He immediately received a nasty look from the famous singer.
As Chaylen laughed, he received a message. He looked at the cell phone and read the news from a woman. [Chaylen! Sorry if Recca pooped in your car! Sorry! T^T] A smile spread on his lips while reading the girl's text. He put the cell phone back in his pocket and looked at Terban. He noticed his friend's gaze fixed on Ryan.
'Hah! That guy still likes her,' Chaylen sighed inwardly.
That's right. Even though several years have passed, Terban’s love for Ryan has not disappeared. But he's not hoping anymore. He just treasures the time when he sees her happy in the company of others.
Terban was staring at Ryan, and she smiled while standing beside her husband. He was sure that the time would come when he would also be able to move on and find a woman who would make his heart beat again. Not now, but soon.
Speaking of a girl who can make his heart beats, Terban remembered the company employee once called him a ‘gay.’ He’s so annoyed at that woman that his heart pounded in fury while seeing her!
Didn’t he start liking Ryan after hating her first? Perhaps his destined partner was closer than he thought.
"Hey," Terban called to his female friend. "How's the book you're publishing going?"
Ryan smiled at him. "It's out. You can buy it in bookstores."
"Really?! Congratulations!" Kyle said.
"Don't we have copies?" Chaylen’s request.
"What title? I will promote it to my fans," Vincent commented.
"Living with the Five Billionaires," Ryan introduced.
At the title of the story, the four frowned. They have a hunch that they would not like reading the book.
"What is your book about?" Terban asked.
"Ahmmmm, about the girl who went to the boy's boarding house. Then the five boys liked her," Ryan laughed.
Slyvester’s eyes widened as he faced his wife. "Does that mean we are the protagonists of the story?!"
Ryan nodded in response.
"Omg! It's the book of our love story!" Slyvester happily hugged Ryan. "Does that include the part we made the children?"
"Stop it!" Blushing, Ryan complained.
If the husband is pleased, their four friends feel the opposite. No matter how they think about it, making them the story's sub-male leads is unfair!
Together they shouted complaints in different ways:
"Hey, Ryan!" – Kyle
"No way!" – Chaylen
"Sh*t! Put it down!" – Terban
"I will buy everything in the bookstore so no one can read it" – Vincent.
Ultimately, despite any reservations, they will continue to read and endorse it due to their deep emotional connection to Ryan's love story, which is one of the most vibrant chapters in their lives.
