Chapter 24 7 : RIVALS(PART 3)

"Mr. Stravinsky!"
My eyes widened and my hands started to tremble. Tears poured into my eyes and I was too weak to even stop them from falling. I looked down and looked at my hands. Strangely, it suddenly had blood on them. Brother... I-I killed my brother...
"No... No, no. No! I-I didn't... I didn't—I-I didn't kill my brother! No! I-I can't do... that..." My knees fell on the ground and Henry hurriedly attended to me. I faced him and held his shoulder. "I didn't kill him! I really... I really d-didn't kill him! No!" I looked at my hands again and saw blood on them still. I wiped the blood off my clothes but it just won't disappear. "Why isn't this coming off? Why?!"
"Because they will remain in your hands no matter how hard you wipe them off. It will be forever there..."
"Mr. Stravinsky! Stop it already!"
"Shut up, Henry! You're just nothing but a pet that must obey its owner!"
I slowly looked at Val and he was glaring at me. And even with a grin on his lips, his eyes were fiery and intense. "Henry." He was gritting his teeth when he suddenly took something from his drawer.
It terrified me when I saw it was a gun. My lips trembled and tears fell out easily as I stood up and walked. I almost stumbled and Henry quickly caught and held me on my shoulder. "Please... D-Don't kill them... Please... Just—Just let m-me quit... Please..." I pleaded but his expression didn't change.
"You know the consequence of quitting yet here you are? No matter how you plead me not to kill them, it was on the contract." He smirked and leaned on his chair.
"What contract? I didn't even sign such a thing! Just let me quit!" I let my knees fall and beg. "Please..."
"Dilly! What the hell are you doing?!" He tried to stop me but I just pushed him with the little courage I was left with. I heard him sigh and tried again. "Dilly, stop it now..." he whispered.
I scoffed. "If I stop now, will you be the one who'll carry my sufferings? Huh? Will you?!" I shouted which made him stop. He was too stunned to even speak. He looked away. "You know nothing so just keep your mouth shut..."
I looked down and bit my lip, tears are still falling from my eyes. "Please let me quit..." I once again pleaded with Val.
"Can't you remember?"
"What?" I looked at him. He smirked and looked at Henry who was still quiet beside me. He's not even moving now. He was as if frozen on the ground.
"Henry made you sign when you were asleep that night they abducted you," Val explained.
I looked at Henry and he was now looking down.
"He was the one to blame, wasn't he?"
Henry made me... what...?
"That's..." I laughed. "That's impossible..." I looked down at the ground and saw the flood of tears. I looked at him again and he was still looking down. "H-Henry... It's... It's impossible, right?" I trusted you, so, please... Please tell me it isn't true... But he didn't answer so I held his shoulders tightly to make him face me. "Henry! Please! Please... Please tell me it's not true..."
I heard Val laugh so hard. "I never expected everything would be this so... dramatic and disgusting as fuck! You two could have a drama project together. It's quite impressive, I say. Uh-huh."
I ignored him and focused on Henry. I hit his shoulder. "Come on! Say it! Answer me! Answer me, Henry! Please... Tell me..." Tell me it's not true...
He then slowly lifted his eyes on me. It was full of emotions that I wished to never see. I suddenly just wanted to be blind. I suddenly regretted everything. I suddenly regretted letting myself trust him so easily. I suddenly regretted letting myself get attached to him.
My body suddenly became numb. My heart was aching so bad but it didn't even hurt anymore. I... became numb.
I don't know what happened but I just saw myself running away from everything. Like I always do. I should get used to this pain. I should get used to everything... But why does it feel like it's my first time? I was just numb earlier... But suddenly, the pain returned so quickly.
My knees fell to the ground because of the strong impact when I got bumped by someone. "Ouch!" I heard her groan.
I immediately stood up and bowed. "I'm sorry..." I could only see her feet and she was sitting on the bench. It was probably because of the impact. I remained looking down, waiting for her complaints since I don't want other people to see me at my weakest state. But complaints didn't come. I even heard her laugh.
"Wow... What a coincidence, huh. How have you been, Dilly—oh, right, you don't want me to call you that 'cause I'm not your dead brother."
My eyes quickly lifted to her. She was already standing in front of me and was now wearing that mocking smirk she used to give me before. I glared at her and clenched my fists, already affected by what she said. My breath started to become heavy as I gritted my teeth in anger.
"Come on, cou'z. Loosen up. I was just kidding." She even hit my shoulder to show me that she was just kidding. But only a fool will ever believe her. And I'm not a fool.
"What are you doing here?" I hissed.
She laughed. "What right do you even have to know that? And don't get your hopes high. I'm not here to visit you. As if someone would." She stepped closer to me and was about to touch my hair but I held her wrist tightly. Her other hand, then, quickly flew in my face. My grip loosened on her wrist and she immediately took her hand out. She aggressively pulled my hair, making me even much closer to her. "Don't pretend to look like a brave girl. Because you will never be, you weakling piece of shit."
She let me go and smiled as she shrugged her shoulders. "I'm just saying the truth, aren't I?" She crossed her arms and sat down on the bench again. "So, how's your vacation? Oh, right... You're not on a vacation. You... were kicked out."
I looked down, gritting my teeth. I clenched my fists tighter and slowly lifted my eyes on her, getting pissed now. A little bit more and I will completely lose my mind. Try me, Franzine. Try me.
But my body weakened when I heard what she said. "Have you heard? When Tita Frecia and Tito William attended the reunion last week, Tita Desiree asked where are you but they immediately changed the topic, pretending not to hear it."
My heart throbbed in pain. I thought what happened earlier was enough to feel betrayed. But I felt even more betrayed. I was betrayed by my parents... I was betrayed by the people I'm even willing to fight for.
Franzine slowly walked closer to me and my feet automatically stepped back in fear. "They have completely forgotten about you. They completely ripped off their family. They..." Not knowing what is behind me, I stumbled and fell to the ground. She sat on her feet and smirked at me. "They don't acknowledge you as their daughter anymore."
No... Stop... That's not true... No...
"Please, stop..." I muttered as tears were falling from my eyes, looking down on my knees now, almost begging her.
She slowly caressed my cheeks and lifted my chin to look into her eyes. "And why would I?" She aggressively grabbed my jaw and smirked. "Well, I've got some advice for you..." She brought her face closer to my ears and whispered. "Go, enjoy your stay here. Forever. Because they no longer want you back." She laughed and threw my face away before standing up. She threw me a last glance before walking away, leaving me on the ground, looking so messy.
They no longer want me back... They're much happier now that I'm finally gone...
I looked down at my wet knees.
The fight is over... How else can I fight if the reasons why are completely gone now?
