Jane was glad that Daniel and Roneth had finally found each other and were getting married. But as time went on, Jane's jealousy grew more intense. She couldn't help but compare herself to Roneth. Roneth was beautiful, successful, and had a loving family. Jane felt like she had nothing in comparison. Jane was invited to Roneth and Daniel's wedding. She knew that she should be happy for them, but she couldn't help but feel resentful. She arrived at the wedding early and sat in the back row. She watched as Roneth and Daniel walked down the aisle together. They looked so happy and in love. Jane felt a pang of jealousy in her heart. She wished that it were her standing next to Daniel at the altar. The ceremony was beautiful, and Jane tried to focus on the happy couple. But she couldn't shake the feeling of jealousy that was growing inside of her. After the ceremony, the guests went to the reception hall for dinner and dancing. Jane sat alone at a table, watching the other guests having fun. She felt like an outsider. Daniel came over to her table and sat down next to her. "Hi, Jane," he said. "Are you having a good time?" Jane forced a smile. "Yes," she said. "It's a beautiful wedding." "Thanks," Daniel said. "We're really happy." Jane nodded. "I can tell." Daniel looked at her for a moment. "Jane," he said. "I know that you've had feelings for me in the past. But I want you to know that I'm in love with Roneth. And she's the only woman I want to be with." Jane's heart sank. She knew that Daniel was right, but it still hurt to hear him say it. "I understand," she said. "I'm happy for you and Roneth." But Jane wasn't happy for them. She was jealous. And her jealousy was growing more intense with each passing minute. Jane decided to leave the wedding early. She couldn't bear to watch Daniel and Roneth dance and be happy together. She walked out of the reception hall and into the night air. She took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down. But her jealousy was too strong. She couldn't control it anymore. She started to cry. She cried for herself. She cried for Roneth and Daniel. And she cried for the fact that she would never have what they had. Jane knew that she needed to get help. She couldn't let her jealousy consume her. Jane's jealousy continued to grow more intense in the days following Roneth and Daniel's wedding. She couldn't stop thinking about them. She couldn't stop comparing herself to Roneth. She felt like a failure. She felt like she would never be good enough. One day, Jane was so angry and jealous that she decided to do something drastic. She went to Daniel's house and confronted him. "I can't believe you did this to me," she said. "You were supposed to be my friend." Daniel was confused. "What are you talking about?" he asked. "I'm talking about…," Jane said. "She stole you from me." "That's not true," Daniel said. "I never loved you." Jane's eyes filled with tears of anger. "You're a liar!" she screamed. "I loved you first!" Daniel shook his head. "Jane," he said. "You need to get help." Jane laughed bitterly. "Help for what?" she asked. "For loving you?" Daniel took a step back. "Jane," he said. "I'm scared of you." Jane smiled coldly. "Good," she said. "You should be scared." Jane turned and walked away, leaving Daniel standing there alone. Jane knew that she had gone too far. She knew that she had scared Daniel. But she didn't care. She was too angry and jealous to think clearly. Jane decided to make Daniel pay for what he had done to her. She decided to hurt him the way he had hurt her. She went to Daniel's house and waited for him to come home. When he arrived, she jumped out of the bushes and confronted him. "You're going to pay for what you did to me," she said. Daniel was scared. He didn't know what Jane was capable of. "What do you want?" he asked. Jane smiled. "I want you to leave Roneth," she said. "I want you to be with me." Daniel shook his head. "No," he said. "I love Roneth." Jane's eyes flashed with anger. "If you don't leave her," she said. "I'm going to hurt your family." Daniel was shocked. "You wouldn't dare," he said. Jane laughed. "Try me," she said. Daniel knew that Jane was serious. He could see it in her eyes. Daniel saw Jane drinking a lot at a bar one night. He had heard that she had been struggling with her mental health, and he was worried about her. He went over to her and sat down next to her. "Are you alright, Jane?" he asked. Jane looked at him and smiled bitterly. "I'm fine," she said. Daniel didn't believe her. He could see the pain and sadness in her eyes. "You don't have to pretend with me," he said. "I know you're not okay." Jane took a deep breath. "I'm just trying to get by," she said. "You're drinking too much," Daniel said. "It's not healthy." Jane shrugged. "I don't care," she said. "Nothing matters anymore." Daniel felt a pang of guilt in his chest. He knew that he had played a role in Jane's downfall. He had left her when she needed him most. "I'm sorry, Jane," he said. "I should have been there for you." Jane shook her head. "It's too late for that now," she said. Daniel stood up. "I'm not going to leave you here like this," he said. "I'm going to take you home." Jane tried to stand up, but she was too drunk. Daniel helped her to her feet and put his arm around her waist. "Come on," he said. "Let's go home." Daniel walked Jane out of the bar and to his car. He helped her into the passenger seat and buckled her seatbelt. "Are you okay?" he asked. Jane nodded. "I'm fine," she said. Daniel got in the driver's seat and started the car. He drove Jane to her apartment and helped her inside. "I'm going to make you some coffee," he said. "No," Jane said. "I just want to go to bed." Daniel nodded. "Okay," he said. "But promise me that you'll be okay." Jane didn't say anything. She just closed her eyes. Daniel made Jane a cup of coffee and brought it to her bedroom. He placed it on the nightstand next to her bed. "If you need anything," he said. "Just call me." Jane didn't say anything. She was already asleep. Daniel sighed and left the bedroom. He knew that Jane needed help, but he didn't know how to help her. He felt helpless. Daniel went home and lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. He couldn't stop thinking about Jane. He knew that he had to do something to help her. The next day, Daniel went to see a therapist. He explained Jane's situation and asked for advice. The therapist told Daniel that Jane needed professional help. She suggested that he convince Jane to see a therapist or to join a support group. Daniel knew that it would be difficult to convince Jane to get help, but he was determined to try. He wanted to see her get better. Daniel went to Jane's apartment and knocked on the door. She answered the door, looking disheveled and hungover. "What do you want?" she asked. "I want to help you," Daniel said. "I want you to get better." Jane laughed bitterly. "Why do you care?" she asked. "You didn’t choose me." "I know," Daniel said. "But I still care about you. I want to see you happy." Jane shook her head. "It's too late for that," she said. "No, it's not too late," Daniel said. "You can get better. But you need to get help." Jane sighed. "Fine," she said. "What do you want me to do?" "I want you to see a therapist," Daniel said. "Or to join a support group." Jane nodded. "I'll think about it," she said. Daniel smiled. "That's all I ask," he said. Daniel left Jane's apartment feeling hopeful. He knew that it would take time for her to heal, but he was confident that she would get better. He was determined to help her in any way he could.
