Daniel met Jane at the park. Roneth tried to avoid him. He grabbed her right arm and asked about their son. Roneth walked away. He followed her. Daniel's heart sank when he heard Roneth say that she thought he was happy with Jane. He had been so careful to keep his distance from Jane, but Roneth had clearly seen something that he hadn't. "Roneth," Daniel said. "I love you. I would never be happy with anyone else." Roneth shook her head. "You don't love me," she said. "If you did, you wouldn't have helped Jane." "I made a mistake," Daniel said. "But I love you more than anything in the world." Roneth pulled her arm away from Daniel's grasp. "Leave me alone," she said. Roneth turned and walked away, leaving Daniel standing there alone. He didn't know what to do. He had lost his wife and his son. Daniel went home and sat down on the couch. He buried his head in his hands and started to cry. He felt like he had failed at everything. After a while, Daniel's phone rang. It was Jane. "Daniel," she said. "I'm so sorry about what happened with Roneth. I know that you love her." "I do love her," Daniel said. "I love her more than anything in the world." "I know," Jane said. "And I want you to be happy. If that means being with Roneth, then I support you." Daniel was touched by Jane's words. He knew that she was a good person, and he was grateful for her friendship. "Thank you, Jane," Daniel said. "That means a lot to me." Daniel and Jane talked for a while longer, and then Daniel hung up the phone. He stood up and went to the window. He looked out at the city below. Daniel knew that he had a lot of work to do if he wanted to win Roneth back. He had to prove to her that he loved her more than anything in the world. Daniel took a deep breath and turned away from the window. He was determined to do whatever it took to fix his marriage. He loved Roneth and Ethan, and he wasn't going to give up on them without a fight. The next day, Daniel went to Roneth's apartment. He knocked on the door, but no one answered. He knocked again, and this time Roneth answered the door. "What are you doing here?" Roneth asked. "I want to talk to you," Daniel said. Roneth sighed. "Fine," she said. "Come in." Daniel and Roneth sat down on the couch. Daniel looked at Roneth and said, "I love you, Roneth. I'm so sorry for hurting you. I know that I made a mistake, but I promise you that I will never do anything like that again." Roneth looked at Daniel for a long time. She could see the sincerity in his eyes. "I love you too, Daniel," Roneth said. "But I need some time to think." "I understand," Daniel said. "I'll give you all the time you need." Daniel and Roneth talked for a while longer, and then Daniel left. He knew that it would take time to rebuild their trust, but he was determined to do it. He loved Roneth and Ethan more than anything in the world. Daniel went home and waited for Roneth to call. He knew that it would be a difficult process, but he was confident that they would get through it together. Daniel was starting to get worried. He had been waiting for a call from Roneth for days, but there had been nothing. He had even gone to their apartment to look for her, but she and Ethan were nowhere to be found. It was clear that Roneth was avoiding him. Daniel didn't know what to do. He had already apologized to her and promised that he would never hurt her again. But it wasn't enough. Daniel decided to go to Jane's apartment. He needed to talk to someone who understood what he was going through. When Daniel arrived at Jane's apartment, she was surprised to see him. "Daniel," she said. "What are you doing here?" "I need to talk to you," Daniel said. "Roneth is avoiding me." Jane sighed. "I'm so sorry to hear that," she said. "I know how much you love her." "I do love her," Daniel said. "I love her more than anything in the world. But I don't know what to do." "Maybe you should give her some time," Jane said. "She needs to process what happened." "I understand," Daniel said. "But I'm worried about her. I don't know where she is or if she's safe." "I'm sure she's fine," Jane said. "She's a strong woman." Daniel nodded. "I hope you're right," he said. Daniel and Jane talked for a while longer, and then Daniel went home. He knew that he had to be patient, but it was difficult. He missed Roneth and Ethan so much. The next day, Daniel was at home when he got a call from Roneth. He answered the phone eagerly. "Roneth," he said. "I'm so glad to hear from you." "I need to talk to you," Roneth said. "Can you meet me at the park?" "Of course," Daniel said. "I'll be there in ten minutes." Daniel hung up the phone and got ready to go. He was nervous, but he was also hopeful. He knew that Roneth was finally ready to talk to him. Daniel arrived at the park and saw Roneth sitting on a bench. She looked up at him and smiled. "Daniel," she said. "I'm so sorry for avoiding you." "I'm glad you're ready to talk," Daniel said. Daniel and Roneth sat down on the bench and talked for a long time. Roneth told Daniel that she had been feeling hurt and betrayed. She didn't know how to trust him again. Daniel listened patiently and apologized again. He told Roneth that he loved her more than anything in the world and that he would never hurt her again. Roneth nodded. "I believe you," she said. "But I need some time to think about things." "I understand," Daniel said. "I'll give you all the time you need." Daniel and Roneth stood up and hugged each other. Daniel knew that it would take time to rebuild their trust, but he was confident that they would get through it together. He loved Roneth and Ethan more than anything in the world. Daniel went home feeling hopeful. He knew that Roneth was still in love with him, and that was all that mattered. He was determined to do whatever it took to win her back.
