Freya gently moved her neck as she felt it ache. She held her neck and slowly opened her eyes. She was stunned for a few minutes before turning her eyes to where she was. After she remembered what happened, she immediately became alert. From the ceiling, she looked down at her feet. They are tied. Her waist is the same. Only her hands were free. She tried to untie the ropes but she failed. She was able to move her hands freely...the case was that her legs and waist were too firmly and tightly tied to the seat she was sitting on. She closed her eyes tightly. "What are you going to do now, Freya? How are you going to get out of this place alive?" she said to herself. Freya tried to stand but she always failed. Her stomach hurts because the rope around her waist catches it every time she tries to stand up. She looked around the room again. There are no windows but it is air-conditioned. There is a table near the door and there is also a chair. Other than that, nothing else. "You fool, Freya! You should have gone home with your husband! You should have just waited for him! Instead of looking for Yael, you're bound and locked in this small room!" she yelled. Freya took a deep breath. She tried to calm herself down but fear slowly engulfed her. What if the person who kidnapped her buries her alive? What if he can no longer see her son? What if she loses her life there? She was sweating profusely even though it was very cold in the room she was in. Later she was completely discouraged. She just found herself crying. "Stupíd!" Freya shouted restrainedly. She quickly wiped her tears when she heard the door open. "Are you awake yet?" The man dropped his tray with only food on the table before he sat down on the chair next to it. He closed the door. "What do you need from me? Why did you bring me here?" Freya said bravely. She was almost terrified when she saw the curve of the lips of the man in front of her. He was only a few steps away from her. "What do you think?" asked the man. "I don't know. Are you stupid? That's why I'm asking," Freya smiled as she stared at the man. The curve in the man's lips immediately disappeared. His jaw dropped when he heard that answer from Freya. "Do you want to be hurt?" he asked seriously. "Let me go. You can't get anything from me. I'm not as rich as my husband and I don't have a position in their company. They don't care about someone like me either. You made a mistake . You got the wrong perso--–" "Freya, I'm a billionaire now. You think I'm after your money? You're stupid too!" the man said laughing. Freya's eyebrows met. "What do you need from me, huh? Let me go! Promise, I won't report you to the police!" She knows that he has a connection with the superiors because his wealth is not something to be taken for granted. The man's loud laughter echoed in the room. "You are my only ace to get my most valuable property," he said. Freya frowned. 'What is this man saying? Has he lost his mind? I don't even know him at all!' The man stood up and took the tray with food. He walked over to Freya. When he was about to try it, the door suddenly opened. "I will take care of feeding her." Freya's eyes widened when she heard the man who had come. "J-Jackson?" she whispered. The man dropped the tray on the floor and looked at Jackson. "I thought you were out of breath," he said jokingly. "Thank you for your notice. I escaped death," said Jackson as he walked closer to the gaping Freya. He picked up the tray from the floor and scooped some soup from the cup on it. "Open your mouth,” he ordered Freya. Freya shook her head and closed her mouth even more. "It's not poisonous. You have to eat it so you don't get weak," said Jackson. "Oh." He brought the spoon to Freya's mouth. "I'd rather be weak than be indebted to the person who caused my parents to die!" Freya whispered loudly. Now he was staring into Jackson's eyes. Jackson's face darkened when Freya tipped the spoon, causing the soup she was about to sip, slipped onto the floor. "Even the floor rejected the food you prepared," Freya said with a laugh. Jackson threw the tray he was holding on the floor and quickly grabbed Freya by the jaw. He heard the man behind him laugh. "That's right, Jackson! Don't be a fool in love. Teach that girl a lesson. I'll leave you guys alone." The man walked out of the room. "Mr. Marcus," Jackson called. Ythan stopped walking and faced Jackson but he only saw his back because he was facing Freya. "Do you need something?" he asked, smiling. "Nothing. Thank you for trusting me," Jackson said. Ythan laughed out loud. 'Silly! How easy to fool you around, Jackson!' his mind screamed. "Nothing, Jackson. Do what you want to do with that girl. I'll call Rhea later. I'll just see if she doesn't beg me. I'm sure she'll pet me like a puppy again when she finds out I'm holding that girl," he said before leaving the room. 'What's going on? Mr. Ythan and Mrs. Marcus became foes? And then why? Why…' Freya's meditation was interrupted when Jackson suddenly spoke. "We only have tonight, Freya," Jackson whispered. "Huh?" Freya said in shock. "I came here to save you from that psychopath," Jackson added. Freya's mouth dropped open. She couldn't understand what was happening. Just now it seemed like Jackson's words wanted to swallow her up because she thought, he's a bad guy until his last breath. She couldn't believe what she just heard! "I'll explain everything after we escape from here. Please cooperate, Freya. It wasn't easy for me to come here. I'm risking my life. I'm playing with fire." Jackson took something from his pocket and handed it to Freya. "The eyes of the public, especially the police, are warm to Ythan and me. We are both escapees from prison, Freya. If you want to escape from his hands, you have to cooperate with me. You have to follow my orders ," he added. "How can I trust you? You killed my paren–" "I didn't kill any of your parents. I wasn't the real cause of the fire," Jackson said while staring into Freya's eyes. "What do you mean–" "Your parents are alive, Freya. If I owe you anything, it's about Yael." There was sadness in Jackson's eyes when he said those words. All this time, he saw himself as an evil who killed three people. Every time he looked in the mirror, he could not see the goodness in his heart. Only the crime he committed when he was a child always crossed his mind. He labeled himself as a murderer, an arsonist and a homewrecker. Having those thoughts made him sick. It gave him the courage to do bad things until he got used to it...until he lost his conscience. When he learned the truth, he came to his senses. The truth saved his soul but it has no power to redeem him from whatever mistakes and crimes he had committed before. Freya couldn't understand how she must feel at those times. "Saving you here is only one of my ways to make it up to you...and Yael. Please, let me help you escape here," Jackson pleaded. He knelt before Freya. His tears rolled down his cheeks. Freya couldn't find words to express herself at the moment but her eyes showed how she felt. Tears gradually fell on her cheeks. She remembered the good times she and Jackson shared. During those times, she saw how kind he was. His intentions were unquestionable. It was pure kindness until she learned that he was the one who abducted Yael. "Please, stop crying. I...it breaks me when I see you cry." Jackson looked away. When he felt his tears, he immediately wiped them with his hand. If only time could be turned back, he wouldn't have kidnapped Yael. If he hadn't drilled into his brain that he was a murderer, he wouldn't have hesitated to always do good to his neighbor. He looked at Freya when she suddenly spoke. "What's your plan? How can we get out of here?" asked Freya. Jackson blinked a few times. "You're giving me your trust?" he asked. "What do you think?" asked Freya. Jackson smiled. "It's your responsibility to get me safely to wherever my parents are and it's also your responsibility to help me find my son," Freya said bowing. Jackson was stunned. "I-is Y-Yael really alive?" He almost jumped out of joy when he saw Freya nod. 'Thank you, God, for giving me another chance! I want to be righteous. Thank you for forgiving my sins and for loving me despite it!' he thought. "What's up, Jackson? Are we just going to stare and cry here?" said Freya. "I said so. Okay, listen. Here's my plan," Jackson said.
