Chapter 57

Jackson's every step was big as he glanced around. He doesn't want to be complacent because he knows Ythan is smart. He could hear his heart beating and his breathing. It's very quiet in the area. Along with the sunset is the departure of Ythan and his crew. To make sure that Ythan fulfilled their talk, he secretly followed him until he got into a car and left their hideout.
"They're gone. Freya, I'm coming to save you now. We will escape this place together," Jackson uttered as he strode towards Freya's location.
As Jackson made his way to the woman he loved, he gradually remembered the past.
 ***Flashback***
"Why are you crying?" The girl stopped talking and sat next to the young Jackson. "Are you lost? Don't cry. Here, use my handkerchief first," said the girl.
Jackson stared at the handkerchief for a long time before he took it. "Thank you," he said while wiping his tears.
"By the way, I’m Eya. What's your name?" She extended her hand to the boy next to her.
Jackson frowned. 'Shall I tell her my name? Hmmmm, never mind,' he thought.
Freya withdrew her hand. "It looks like you don't want to introduce yourself. It's okay. Why are you crying? Maybe I can help you," she said with a smile.
"I ran away." Jackson looked away. He watched the people passing by. Everyone is busy shopping because the festival is approaching in their area.
"What? Why did you run away? Go home. I'm sure your parents are worried about you," said Eya. Her eyes rolled.
"Mom is in the States. Dad is... well, busy with his mistress. I have no one to talk to at home except for helpers. We are rich but my life is empty and dull," Jackson said bowing.
 Eya's face was sad.
"I don't know if I should report dad to mom. My mom is sick. I don't want to add to the problem and pain she is feeling but... my dad is doing something wrong." Tears fell from Jackson's eyes.
"Why don't you talk to your dad? Tell him how you feel. Tell him you're hurt. Be honest with him," advised by the young Eya.
"You're small but you sound like an old woman when you talk." Jackson smiled.
"There you are! Smiling suits you better," said Eya.
Jackson immediately frowned. 'Why am I talking to her? Mom and dad told me not to talk to strangers.'
"Oh! Why are you sad again?" Eya snorted.
'She's so cute,' thought Jackson. He didn't realize he was smiling. He was surprised when Eya suddenly hugged him. "W-what are you doing?" he asked several times.
"Mom and dad told me, when someone feels lonely or very sad...they need some sympathy. A big hug is said to be of great help to reduce their sadness somehow." Eya closed her eyes and patted Jackson on the back.
'Why does she seem right? Why did I feel better after she hugged me?' Jackson hesitates whether to hug Eya or not.
"Pray. Ask Papa Jesus for guidance. Ask Him for courage. I know the day will come when you can tell your father what is in your heart. If you feel too heavy, you are free to cry and—"
"But I'm a man," Jackson interjected.
Eya smiled. "What are you? Whether you're a man or a woman, we all have the right to cry because we're all humans. Besides, it doesn't lessen your masculinity if you cry," she said.
Jackson smiled at what Eya said.
"Eya! Daughter! Where are you? We're leaving!" someone called.
Little Eya was about to give up hugging Jackson when he suddenly hugged her.
"Thank you very much, Eya. I will never forget your name as well as the things you said to me. You are young like me but you seem mature enough to think," said Jackson smiling.
"Because I'm used to hardship and besides, my mind is full of reprimands and advice from my parents," Eya shared.
"You're still good. Even if you don't have a lot of money, you're rich in love." Sadness was evident in the tone of Jackson's speech.
"All of us, we have our own grace from Papa Jesus. We just have to open our eyes to see them. We're blessed in different ways. Don't worry, I will include you in my prayer every night. So? I'll go first. My father is looking for me!" Eya stood up and prepared to leave.
"Thank you," Jackson said. He looked closely at Eya's face.
"There's nothing! All right. I'm leaving!" Eya said smiling.
Jackson was about to say something else when Eya ran quickly towards the crowd. He tried to follow her but he couldn't find her.
"Sir Jackson, you're just here! Senior has been looking for you for a while!" Set shouted.
Jackson joined Set. As they made their way to the car, he was still looking behind him. "I hope we meet again…Eya," he whispered.
 ***End of flashback***
When Jackson arrived in front of the door of the room where Freya was, he immediately fumbled for the key in his pants pocket. His eyes widened when he couldn't find the keys in his pockets.
"Shít! Where's the key? I just put it here!" Jackson exclaimed. He was stunned when he suddenly heard Ythan's voice.
"Are you looking for this?" Ythan said as he held the key to Freya's room.
Jackson took a deep breath. "I thought, I lost it! Thank you! Wait, I thought you had already left?" he asked wryly.
Ythan smiled menacingly. Later, his face suddenly became serious. "I've changed my mind, Jackson. I want to watch whatever you plan to do with Freya. Will you allow me to witness something like live sex?"
Jackson was speechless. He just watched Ythan's face. 'Has he found out about our escape plan? Damn! What will I do?' his mind screamed.
