Chapter 17

I was staring at the clock while sitting on the bed. I was waiting for Anastasia and Dasha to wake up, both of them tied up in their room.
I didn't put that much sleeping medicine in the dish, but why are they sleeping so soundly? I suddenly felt envious.
But I decided to ignore them for now. I was busy trying on Anastasia's clothes. They suited me so well, and I looked like a princess! The fabric of this gown she had copied from me is so beautiful.
"It would have been even better if they could see this." I turned my gaze back to both of them and frowned.
It's just not fair that they're sleeping so peacefully while I, almost every day, have my mind awake because of what I've discovered. I needed to wake them up.
I quickly grabbed a bucket of hot water. I was about to make coffee earlier, but I changed my mind. I didn't even feel any pain when I touched the bucket without protection, even though I could see how my hands were being scalded.
"Wake up, my dear princesses!" I chuckled and poured the hot water around them. A few droplets of water splashed on their skin, causing them to wake up and scream.
"Aaahh!" Dasha wailed in pain.
"Cinderella—What are you doing?!" Anastasia scolded, trying to suppress her grimace.
"Is it painful, huh? Is it painful?" I widened my grin.
Their screams sounded like beautiful music to my ears. To hear them better, I emptied the bucket, pouring it until the last drop.
"You're such a beast!" Anastasia fumed, but it was clear that she was also in pain based on her expression.
She tried to move and get closer to me, but she almost blew a vein in her scream as the hot water came into contact with her right leg.
"Be careful with your movements." I smiled and tapped my feet in the water. "Be careful, do you want your skin to burn like mine?"
They looked horrified when they saw my skin. The scars from the self-inflicted wounds I made were still there, and now they were joined by some of my skin peeling off due to the direct contact with the hot water on my feet.
I also wanted their feet to be like mine, but I'm calming myself for now. I don't want them to be too frightened of me, so I'm trying to gain their trust.
I have a lot of questions and things to find out.
"Mom?" Anastasia asked when she noticed that Aunt Elizabeth was not there. "Where's Mom?!"
"Tsk. That's wrong. Shouldn't you be more concerned about yourself first?" I shook my head and clicked my tongue. "Wait, you've been asleep, after all. You might be hungry."
It was perfect timing, and I prepared a meal for them. That's how kind I am. Despite what they did to me, I would still feed them.
I walked over to the side and picked up the food I wasn't even sure what it was called. I just mixed various spoiled foods I found outside.
While I was looking at the food I was about to serve, I found myself pondering. What could this taste like?
"Earlier, I cooked pork steak for you, right? It's your favorite." I smiled up to my eyes. "Now, it's my favorite food that we'll eat."
I sat down in front of them—right where I poured water earlier. It was slightly lukewarm now, not like earlier.
I showed them what was inside the bucket where we would get our food, and I just smiled when I heard them curse.
"Fuck—"
"Oh, why? This is what you've always been feeding me, right? Spoiled foods. Foods that even my mices can’t eat," I interrupted Anastasia's curse. "After eating this for so long, it's become my favorite."
I scooped some food from the bucket and ate it. I couldn't understand its taste, but I didn't feel disgusted or anything. In fact, I felt like what I was eating now was even better than the food Anastasia fed me.
"Hmmm... Delicious!" I said while chewing.
Some rice grains sprayed from my mouth onto Dasha and Anastasia's faces. They winced, but it was accompanied by disgust because the food had gone bad. So bad.
Dasha suddenly vomited in front of me. Instead of being disgusted, I was even pleased.
"Try it," I ordered Anastasia. I brought my hand with some food close to her mouth.
"I don't want to!" she said, pushing my hand away with her cheeks. She also turned her head to avoid me reaching her mouth.
I moved beside her. "Don't be stubborn, Anastasia. Taste this," I ordered again, smiling, but my patience was dwindling.
But she still refused. Her mouth remained closed while I brought the food close to her. I saw her grimacing and almost vomiting.
I suddenly felt angry. When they fed me like this, they were delighted. I remembered the insults they hurled at me while I begged them to give me proper food.
And now, they're acting like this in front of me?
Using one of my hands, I held her cheeks and forcefully opened her mouth. "Taste it!"
When I managed to open her mouth, I quickly shoved the food inside. I saw that she was almost crying, but she couldn't bring herself to spit out the food. I held her cheeks, applying more pressure, until she was forced to swallow the food.
If she didn't do that, she wouldn't be able to breathe anymore.
She suddenly sobbed in front of me, and I laughed. I let her go before raising an eyebrow.
"Why are you crying?" I asked innocently. "I just fed you. You're crying tears of joy, right?"
"W-What do you want to happen?" She didn't answer my question. Instead, she threw a new one. "Why are you doing this to us?!"
"I should be the one asking that." I stood up and placed the bucket to the side. I turned to look at her again. "What did my mom do to you, and why didn't you help her that day?"
When I said that, Anastasia turned pale. She could hardly move for a moment.
"What is she saying?" Dasha asked in surprise.
I smiled. That's right; Dasha doesn't know anything about her family's activities. Because of that, I couldn't punish her as much as I would do to Anastasia and Elizabeth, but that didn't mean she could escape my vengeance.
I couldn't forget that she was just going along with Anastasia in tormenting me.
"W-What are you talking about? You're making things up!" Anastasia feigned innocence.
She kept glancing at me and Dasha. She seemed afraid of what I might reveal. But I had no intention of holding back. I had no intention of keeping secrets, unlike them.
"Making things up? Really?" I crossed my hands and leaned down to stare at her face. "You know everything—You and Elizabeth. Mom asked for your help, but what did you do? You turned a blind eye!"
Anastasia staggered backward due to my sudden shout. I couldn't contain my anger anymore. Now that they were in front of me, I remembered the cruelty that had happened to mom and dad; my heart felt like it was about to explode.
"What do you mean—"
"Your mother and your sister will pay with their lives," I interrupted Dasha, making her gasp.
After that, I turned my attention back to Anastasia. "You took lives, so you'll have to pay with your life too."
In an instant, I was behind Dasha. I cracked my knuckles, preparing for what I would do next.
"No!" Anastasia was about to approach us, but I kicked her, causing her to fall to the ground.
I then refocused on Dasha and slowly wrapped one hand around her neck. "Don't worry, Dasha. It won't be too painful. I promise.”
As time passed, I tightened my grip, and her lips lost their color. I heard her plea to me.
"I'm sorry..." Those were the last words that came from her before she went completely limp, and shortly after, she drew her last breath.
"Dasha!" Anastasia cried when she saw how I had killed Dasha in front of her. "You're crazy! Fucking crazy!"
"I know. Who said I was sane anyway?" I couldn't help but smirk. "You, how should I kill you?"
"Help! Someone help me!" she pleaded, shouting.
"No one will hear you here, idiot." I approached her while examining her thighs and legs.
I was thinking, maybe it would be better to cut off her legs first? Could I attach them to myself to make my legs look better?
There happened to be a saw here. I took it and showed it to her.
"W-What— What are you going to do now?" she asked, fear in her voice.
“Relax. I won’t kill you.” I placed the saw blade on her thigh. "At least, not yet."
With just one movement of my hand, I could have sliced up her thigh right away, but the doorbell suddenly rang.
I didn't pay attention to it at first, but when I heard who had arrived, I stopped.
