"How does it feel," Eugene asked her son. She could hear a smile on his lips, but she wanted to hear it from him. Felicity turned his head toward his mother after intently looking at the baby. His eyes couldn't be satisfied looking at him, even though he already thought he was after he left him a while ago. He wanted to spend more time with him, to carry him in his arms more specifically. "It feels great, Mom." Eugene's smile became wider after hearing his answer. She hugged him from the side, and they both continued watching the baby from the outside. When Elyana woke up, it was already afternoon. Felicity was about to go back to the mansion when she suddenly spoke. "I want to see my baby, Felicity. Where is he?" she said while trying to sit on the bed while she held her aching stomach. Felicity, who was already at the door, rushed toward her. He guided her to sit and said, "You can't yet. Lie down first because your wound is still fresh. It might still open." Eugene, who was also inside the room, rushed closer as well. "Don't move too much, hija. Your baby is fine. You will see him soon." "But I want to see him. I want to see my baby. Please take me where he is right now," Elyana begged, with no intention of being stopped by anyone. She was able to sit with Felicity's assistance, but he suddenly felt severe pain in the same spot that caused her to scream. "Ahh!" Elyana gripped the part where she felt the poking. Felicity and Eugene's eyes widened when they noticed the blood on Elyana's hospital gown. "Y-you are bleeding!" Felicity's face turned pale with fear, and Eugene, who was also alarmed, pressed the red button on the wall to alert the nurses on duty. "Our patient's wound is bleeding; please send help here," she said when a nurse answered the direct call. "I told you not to move. Look what happened," Felicity preached to Elyana. "Enough of that. Just help me lay her down again. The doctor is on his way," Eugene ordered her son, who immediately followed the order. Nearly two minutes later, a physician rushed inside the private room. He checked on the wound and saw flesh stitches that had opened. The physician gave her the assistance she needed. He restitched the opened wound and left when he was done with his job. The physician and one nurse left when they were no longer needed. "What is wrong, hija? Does your wound hurt? Should I call the nurse again?" "N-No, aunt, it does not hurt," he replied, not allowing Eugene to finish his sentence. "Then why are you crying?" the lady inquired worriedly. "I just want to see my baby. I feel strange that he is no longer in my stomach; I feel like something is missing in me," she cried. Eugene could understand very well how she felt. She had been in that situation twice when she gave birth to her eldest and her twins. "Can you find a way?" Eugene asked her son. Felicity turned his head in his mother's direction and went back to the crying Elyana. "I don't know, Mom, but... I will try," he answered out of pity. He left Elyana with his mother and went out of the room. He begged the nurse, but he didn't get permission. He thought of going back to the private room, but he knew Elyana would only cry a lot. He chose to stay outside the NICU and snap a photo of the child sleeping inside one of the incubators. He went back, thinking Elyana would be happy with it, but little did he know she would only beg more after she saw the picture he showed. "I want to hold him, Felicity. Please! Take me to him," she pleaded. Felicity didn't know how. He thought of calling Chelsea. "That's hospital protocol already. We can't just break it." This was what Felicity got as a response while hearing Elyana cry in the background. "Is that her crying?" she asked and she felt concerned with how she cried so much. "Yes. I'm afraid her stitches will open again with how she keeps moving," Felicity answered. "I agree," Chelsea replied. "Let me call the hospital and see what I can do," she continued after a quick pause. "Okay, don't forget to call me whatever answer you get," Felicity requested and the call ended. Felicity waited. He went walking back and forth in the hallway, just right next to the NICU. He was hoping that Chelsea would find a way and that Elyana would see the baby. After a couple of minutes, his phone finally rang. Chelsea was calling and he immediately answered it. "Hello? What did they say?" he asked right away. "A nurse will come to her room with a wheelchair. Just help her assist Elyana so she won't be moving so much," she answered. Felicity didn't get the exact answer he expected, but in his understanding, that was a yes already, and it was his time to go to Elyana's room. He sprinted back to the room. Just in time because the nurse pushing a wheelchair arrived at the same time. Elyana stopped crying after finding out where they were going. When they reached the NICU, Elyana couldn't hide her happiness. They were not allowed to come inside, but Elyana was given a chance to go in for a few minutes to touch the child. Eugene and Felicity, who were watching from outside the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, felt the same emotion. Eugene's tears fell down her cheeks while Felicity tried to stop him from falling by looking up at the ceiling and sniffing it in. Elyana was not pleased. It seemed everything had been fulfilled. The pain she was feeling right on the cut where her son had gone out vanished like magic, and all she could think about was her child in front of her. She was gently touching his small legs after they sanitized her hands. She was playing with her tiny toes when the nurse suddenly approached her. It was time to go and she had to say goodbye to her son. "Mommy will be back, baby," she sweetly uttered and before leaving, Elyana left him with a kiss by kissing the tip of her fingers and touching her baby's toe again. While on their way back to the room, Elyana grabbed Felicity's arm. "Thank you," she said teary-eyed, and Felicity, who suddenly felt strange with her touch, moved away a little. "It's nothing, girl," he said with his shrill voice and gave her an uncomfortable smile.
