Chapter 91
Elyana's POV
I couldn't be deceived. I looked sharply at him again from head to toe to take one last scan. I was sure he wasn't wearing a contact lens to fool me like that.
"Ellie? What are you doing? Why are you looking at Felix like that?" My mother panicked right after seeing what I was doing. "Did both of you have a misunderstanding again?" Mom continued, but I didn't have a plan to answer any of them.
I just stared at him. He also did the same. I knew he was the one who would eventually give in. I wouldn't let him win anyway.
I started counting in my head, and when I was only halfway from reaching ten, I saw the man in front of me grin before laughing out loud.
"I really can't fool you. Hmp!"
I knew it! He lost it. He returned to his normal shrill and slurred-crazy voice in no time.
"W-wait...what's going on here?" My mother asked us in confusion.
"Oh, come on, Auntie! Don't be too slow," Felicity told my mom.
My mother's eyes widened as she realized what was happening.
"Oh, you shameless child!" She exclaimed. Her hand landed on Felicity's arm and made a loud sound.
"Ouch!" Felicity cried. He immediately stepped away from her before she thought of hitting him again and that was what Mom did. She chased him and hit him again because of her annoyance.
"You fooled me!" She tried hitting him again, but Felicity managed to run. Mom had no chance to get him by because her knees would give up.
"My God, Auntie! I didn't even plan to do so. You were the one who called me Felix when you saw me so I thought of playing along," he explained.
I was laughing so hard, deep inside, while watching them. They look like two kids, unaware of their surroundings. I couldn't believe she made fun of my mother like that and Mom doesn't seem to have a clue who she was talking to a while ago.
My mother was his first victim.
When they were tired, they talked and agreed that they would go on and do the same with Dad and our servants. But they might get caught because there was constant laughter when they were heading to the kitchen.
I followed them even though I was laughing as well. When we reached the kitchen, there was complete silence. Our jolly and loud servants immediately became serious. I nearly chuckled when I saw Daldalita wiping her face using the apron she was wearing, even though there was no dirt or sweat on her skin.
I couldn't believe he would even think of cutting his hair short and on that day, he was not completely wearing any cosmetics. His clothes were different from his typical outfits. I wonder what got into his mind, but, in fairness, it suited him very well.
He continued acting like Felix. He had breakfast with us and while eating, I couldn't take my eyes off him. There were times he caught me staring at him from the corner of my eyes because he was sitting next to me. I would look away, acting like I wasn't, every time he would look at me.
It had been an hour but I still couldn't recover. He looked extremely different and I heard his manly voice while acting like his twin brother was melting me on my knees. I found that strange, but that was exactly what I was feeling. I tried to ignore him, but he was too close to me while he was talking to my dad, who seemed to have no clue that Felicity was the one he was talking to, not until he mentioned him.
"I think Felicity is still upstairs. He went to Cebu yesterday and we thought he would be staying there until this day, but he surprisingly came home late at night, which was something I thanked him for. Aqui kept waking up last night and he didn't want to stop crying. When his father came and held him, he stopped and immediately fell asleep," Dad told him.
I didn't know that was what happened last night. Like Dad, I was also thankful that he came home for us, but when would he do that for us?
I suddenly felt heaviness in my chest again as I thought about that question. I couldn't imagine my life without him, but I didn't want to rely on him so much. Like I said, I want him to do what he wants in life, not be trapped.
"Can you check him upstairs? Tell him his brother is here, but don't wake him up if he's still sleeping." Dad ordered one of our servants and my eyes immediately went to my mother right after she started laughing out loud.
"What's funny, my love?" Dad asked Mom.
"We are really... matched made... in heaven," Mom replied, chuckling.
"I know that, but why are you laughing like that?" Dad asked next, giving my mother a confused look.
He indeed didn't have a clue that it was Felicity talking to him. Frankly, it was hard to identify. They were too identical and if anyone who only met them once saw them for the second time, they wouldn't see the difference without looking intently into their eyes.
"Don't call Felicity, hija. He's already here," Mom announced. Dad's eyebrows met the moment he heard what she said.
"What do you mean by that, my love?" He asked her.
"I'm here, Uncle," Felicity uttered, returning to his shrill voice and smiling mischievously.
I saw how my dad's eyes widened while staring at Felicity. He examined him. His eyes were filled with disbelief at the time, and we all heard him cuss a few times. I bit my lower lip because I thought it was funny, but even though I tried not to laugh, it still came out.
My mother's laugh became louder enough to magnetize us to laugh with her, but the moment the laughter stopped, the servants went close to Felicity to check if it was him. Two of them even rushed upstairs to check the nursery because they couldn't believe it. Another one went outside to check if his car was there.
There was a complete riot inside the mansion that day. They paraded Felicity with questions about why he decided to cut his long and shiny hair. I even overheard Daldalita ask him where he left his hair because she wanted to turn it into a wig, but Felicity already donated those to those who needed them.Download Novelah App
