Final Chapter
Elyana's POV
That feeling of returning trauma filled my heart with so much fear that Daldalita could do what she said.
It was clear to me, in my mind and heart, that of all the people close to me, Felipe, next to my parents and my son, was the person I couldn't live without.
'He's only ours. For my son—mine!' My thoughts were accelerating. I was ready to hurt anyone who would try to take Felipe from us.
My son needs him. He couldn't sleep without his dad at night. I need him to do that. I need him.
My tears continued falling down my cheeks. I covered my face using both my hands and as I did so, I heard whispers in the background that made me feel like they were mocking me. My chest tightened as I heard their whispers. There were so many that I couldn't focus on a single noise.
It was deafening, echoing inside my ears. I cried until I could no longer breathe. I felt someone's hand on my shoulder, but that stronger urge to do something to make our servant take back what she said was loud in my head.
I stood up and I didn't know what had gotten into my head when I suddenly stood and walked straight to our servants. I searched for Daldalita and our eyes met. My gaze sharpened and she immediately panicked. She ran towards my parents and asked for help.
She should know her limits.
"M-Miss Elyana?" I heard other servants calling me. Some tried to block my way, but I managed to push them away.
The mansion was in chaos. My mother pulled Daldalita away while I was trying to grab her. She started crying in fear, but I didn't care.
I was near. I had just a few inches to grab her long black hair, but before I could completely touch her, someone grabbed me and pulled me away.
With the strength of the person's arms, I knew it was a man. My first thought was my dad, but I saw him approaching Mom.
"Let me go!" I screamed.
"My God, Ellie! Take it easy. Please calm down!" My mother yelled, but I didn't listen.
I tried to escape, but the arm wrapping around my waist was like a chain. It was tight, but I could feel it was also being gentle, but no matter how much I tried, I couldn't get out.
"I-Im sorry, Miss Elyana! I won't steal Sir Felipe from you. I was only joking. That was not true, po!" Daldalita apologized politely while peeking behind my mother. I could see from her eyes how much I made her fear for her life.
I looked around and saw other servants' faces. They were shocked. It seemed I overreacted and as I realized that, I slowly returned to my senses.
'But wait, who grabbed me?
The grip of the arms wrapping around my waist loosened. I turned to check for its owner and a grinning Felipe was what I saw.
"It looks like you both need to talk," I heard Mom say.
All of them left me alone with him. His grin faded and he replaced it with a teasing smile. He let me go and I stepped backward to go away a little because our faces were too close.
"What is your problem? Why would you hurt Daldalita?" he asked, even though it seemed he was there all those times and he knew the answer. "It's a good thing I went back to get my other things," he added, but I knew he was lying.
I felt my sore eyes burning up. "Felipe..." I uttered his name, causing his face to lighten up.
I was about to tell him something but I suddenly cried and hugged him. His body became stiff, however, it only lasted for a while. He gave in and hugged me back and I felt one of his hands caressing my back to comfort me like that.
"Hey, what are you crying about?" he asked while I continued crying.
I didn't answer that question, but what I said was something that made me feel lighter inside. "Please don't ever leave me."
It sounded like I was begging, yet I didn't care. I knew I needed him more than anything else in the world.
"Why would I leave you? I'm not crazy enough to do that," he replied, which gave so much warmth inside my heart.
"Promise me!" I exclaimed as I hugged him a little tighter.
"O-okay!" he said, even though he was already struggling to breathe. I loosened up the hug and raised my head to look at him apprehensively. He gave me a smile to tell me that he was okay, continuing, "I promise... I won't. I have other plans aside from that anyway."
I gave him a frown. I had no clue what plan he was referring to. I waited for him to tell me what it was by not saying anything.
"Maybe now you won't be ashamed when people see us together," he muttered as if there were moments I felt ashamed when I was with him.
I thought for a second and realized there were times it happened but those we only the times when he was being loud and unaware of the surroundings, yet those were only a few.
"What are you saying? When did that happen?" I asked, even though I already remembered some of it.
"As you can see, I already changed. I'm trying to be a man for you and our son," he responded, which made me realize we were not even thinking the same at that time.
"Who told you that I was ashamed when you were being feminine?" I sneered.
"Maybe you were not but you kept calling me Bakla so I thought my efforts to change was just a waste because I'm still gay in your eyes."
My eyes widened. I finally had a clue why he had gone mad when I was calling him how I used to call him before.
"So that's the reason?"
"M-maybe..."
"Maybe? Is there something else?"
"No."
Things cleared up.
"I finally got it, but I was not calling you Bakla because I don't appreciate your efforts."
"Then why?" I looked away because it suddenly got awkward.
"Please tell me," he pleaded, but even though he wouldn't, I would still do it. I was only gathering more strength to tell him the reason.
"I was my way to decrease the discomfort when you were around me." He suddenly chuckled.
He embarrassed me, but that instantly faded when I heard him say, "That was cute then. I feel sorry for myself for misinterpreting it."
"Not even new. I'm used to being misunderstood anyway." I uttered, sulking but that was a fact.
"I somewhat agree, you were that Miss Misunderstood by many, but we can change that."
"I don't think I would like that if it turned into something worse," I replied. I was ready to leave because I felt he would only tease me, but when he started calling everyone, I stopped and looked at him weirdly.
I thought they had left. They only hid in certain places. Daldalita gave me a peace sign, still scared I would hurt her.
"As I said, we can change it." My attention returned to Felipe when he suddenly spoke. One knee on the ground and holding a small box with a diamond ring bigger than the stone when Lucas proposed.
I felt an eerie feeling right in my stomach. My hands went cold and my knees felt like jelly.
If I could compare, it was beyond different from the feeling Lucas gave me when he did the same thing.
"Ellie, will you give me a chance to make you my Mrs?" Felipe asked while kneeling.
"Don't worry, I wouldn't turn that to Mrs. Misunderstood, I promise. Be my Mrs., and I will forever understand you with all my might," he continued when I couldn't answer right away.
"Congratulations!" I heard Dad shout.
"Hon! She didn't answer yet." Mom scolded him.
"I knew she would say yes so it's the same."
"Still!"
"Okay, sorry. I'm just too excited."
"My goodness, Cihan!"
"I will record this! Ask Miss Elyana again, sir!" One of the servants shouted.
"Wait, Sir Felipe! Sir Quintin is calling. He said he wanted to see you propose... Hello, Sir Quintin!" Another servant yelled.
I couldn't help but facepalm. The mansion was in chaos again. I couldn't believe the day of our arrival would turn like that. We were in a riot a few minutes ago, and seconds later, it became a giddy moment.
"Don't you dare say no, Ellie!" I heard Quintin on the phone that they put on a loudspeaker.
They started cheering. Quintin started it and they did the same after. "Stop it, everyone! We can't be able to hear Miss Elyana's answer."
Thank God somebody was brave enough to do that. They were making me more nervous with the noises they were making.
"Now that they are finally quiet, I will ask again." Felipe paused. "Will you marry me?"
I nodded. "Yes, I will marry you without any shame about who you were, what you are not, or what you can become," I answered and happy screams were heard from our background.
Felipe slid the ring into my finger. He pulled me close to him right after he stood.
That moment was the true fairytale. I felt I was above the clouds with the joyous feeling I was feeling. It felt different when the new chapter of life I would share with my best friend had a blessing from the important people in my life.
Maybe fate did its job too. It was God's order—His way of saying that my first husband was not the right one for me.
"Kiss! Kisssss!" My monologue got interrupted when Dad made a request and started teasing us.
"I never tried kissing a girl," Felipe whispered to my ears, causing me to grin.
I faced him. He was stunned when I suddenly pulled the collar of his expansive polo shirt and without further ado, I tiptoed and kissed his lips like there were no tomorrow.
I got carried away and the kiss became deeper. His lips weren't moving at first, but after a few seconds, he was responding to it.
That made me smile. I forgot I was tired from the long travel and his lips were making me feel drunk. It was addicting, like I had never kissed a man before.
"Get a room!" I almost forgot there were people around us. My cheeks were burning when our lips parted. I slowly turned to them, but I didn't feel sorry that I made them see us kissing like that.
"Come on, girls, let's cook something delicious." Mom called our servants.
"Go upstairs and continue there." Dad intentionally passed by next to us and whispered that to Felipe, although I heard it loud and clear.
I knew what he meant. I bit my lower lip when I thought about it. There was a switch that automatically turned on and when I raised my head to look into Felipe's eyes, I saw something in his eyes that made me thirsty.Download Novelah App
