Jasmine awoke when she heard thick little hiccups beside her. She looked at him. His right hand was on the throttle while his left hand halfway covered his mouth as it released tiny enormous quiet hiccups, and his eyes were focused on the road. He blinked causing his long eyelashes to sway like the waves of the sea. His Adam’s apple moved like he choked something every pacing created by his feet in the footrests of the car. He’s creating a rhythm underneath in him. She guessed he thought she was in deep sleep after what he injected her, so she made no single hymn of movement. The moonlight stroke his face. She looked at him quietly in those pair of lazy eyes, tired, and remembered their first met. “Don’t be scared. I’ll help you out of here.” The innocent little princess dressed in the dazzling gown of fear and anxiety meets the sharp deep scary stares of her knight in shining armor coming out from nowhere. She looked at him in-depth, trying to find answers to the queries in her head. His face was fully covered in a veil. All she saw were those pairs of deep sunken dark brown eyes wearing an indecipherable gape. His appearance and identity were a big question mark just like the knight in the shining armored prince in the fairytale. The frightening thoughts of the stranger guy turned into solace. He isn’t a bad guy, maybe, she thought. She was about to write a smile of relief on her face when fiery eyes from people went flashing on her vision. They were many— more than 30’s— their violent chaotic apertures. They were holding fiery frosty burning torches. They desired to kill the woman— thought to be the disease in their town. Her heartbeats speeded up, faster than racing horses. Droplets of icy sweat started to release from the pores of her forehead. She was breathing heavily— fastly. The crowd went closer to her. One of them stamped his torch on the ground— a vow of concrete fondness to end the woman’s life. One man from behind then blew a gun to the heavens. The sound of shock echoed across the whole solemn night. Later on, they attacked in unison— fast running footsteps. The woman was left inside her chamber with eyes widened in fear and search for rescue. Jasmine woke up in a broad gray strange room. The vast ceiling welcomed her eyes the moment she opened these. She let out a short while and tried recalling what had happened. Her body remained laid frozen in foamed woolen mattress, yet she could sense from the inclined corner of her eyes the broadness and barrenness of the entire room. She moved her hands towards her body, scrutinizing her entirety. She sighed in relief when she realized that she was all dressed up. Nothing changed from her clothes the last time she wore them. She strode her body to lay off from bed. “Ahh,” she screamed in pain. Her body numbed. Spasms of severe pain waved on her flesh punishing her entire body. Every time she made a move, the electrifying aches went contagious. She slumbered back to bed while pushing her body not to react to the strong stroke of agony. She thrust her eyes closing while her physique snaked. She almost tore because of this unfathomable sudden flash of pain. A bolt of lightning had hit her, titillating her insides— her feeling. Thunderbolts of massive anguish currently were eating her. She frailly parted her eyes when the humid fresh air blew similar to a northern glacial breeze leaving vibrating chills. From the right corner of her eye, she could see the swaying of the silk lemonade window curtains, letting some beam of heavenly light center the dark wholly chamber. It’s dark outside, so was the place she was in. She tried searching for a wall clock to examine the time but failed. Nothing was inside the room— no furniture, frames, appliances, etc. It was completely barren. The only thing inhibiting inside this huge flat plump desolate area was the bed she laid— nothing more. The blanket of heavenly glitters spread across the sky, as others peeped inside the room every time the window curtains swayed. Once again, she tried to remember the phenomena before she was in the location. She shook her head. Her thoughts were vacant. Even her brain betrayed her trust. She was left clueless, lying inside an impoverished dark chamber while chaos went circling and gaped in sanity. Her mind was full of why’s, but she failed to answer those. She feebly laid off again. Her body scratched when crunches of pain went oozing again. She fought back faintly but carefully— she successfully laid off from bed. She moved the blanket on the side unveiling her covered light body. The wind blew from the north again. She glowed in the darkness when the radiance from the stars stroke to kiss her cheeks. “Yeah, she’s already here.” She heard a familiar baritone voice from the back of the door. She quickly jumped out of bed and ran towards the door. Getting there, she tightly held the doorknob with her right hand, having a second thought of opening it or not. “I’m sorry Madame, but I did. Well, I don’t have any choice.” Her eyes broadened to what I have heard. There was a person behind the door and he was talking to someone on a telephone call. She pushed the door closed and eavesdrop on their conversation. “I’ll fix her Madame. You can count on me on this matter. She’ll be fine.” “Shh… I won’t let her know. I’ll take care of her.” The call went on, yet it confused her. Who was the “she” he was referring to? Her? But, what about taking care and not letting her know? Everything was merely confined. If she was the topic, why hadn’t got and understood the conversation? She placed her ears again, pasting to the door. Silence. She heard no talks anymore. She removed her ears after a minute and returned to the same position again. Still, quiet. She again removed her ears and was about to paste them against the door, when the doorknob crunched. “AHH,” She tightly closed her eyes when she felt that she was losing her balance. She was floating. Everything was in slow motion. She could feel her body swiveling in the air. “Ack…” She fell to the floor. She gasped catching some air, while her right hand was gaping at the right side of her belly. Cramps of aches soared immediately. She could feel the saline liquid accumulating at the edges of her eyes. She feebly moved as the aches pushed her to lay on the floor. She moved her eyes to the wooden rectangular barrier about a 6 ft door capable of swinging and sliding. Her eyes were shocked seeing an open hallway leading to the door. It was open. But, how? Lights came to life. She finally moved her gaze. Little by little, a pair of black trousers stood in front of her. Her chest was pounding too fast. She shut down her vision hoping that she was only seeing things that ceased to exist, and when she opened it, there’ll be none. However, when she opened her pair of naked eyes, it was still there. It was never an illusion for it was real. She composed herself and looked up. A pair of narrow sunken eyes met hers. “Hayy…” She felt a sudden relief when she remembered him. Jasmine lazily rested her head on the floor. The man stood in front of her frozen, wearing a bewildered look. She cleared her sight again and looked above. “Hey, what’s the matter?” She faintly blabbered while waving her right hand. The man blinked twice before directly staring at Jasmine cloaked in those pair of unfathomable eyes. “Did you hear it?” he calmly asked. “Hear what?” Jasmine pretended not to understand him. “Nothing. Prepare yourself. Dinner’s up. We’re going somewhere.” Then, he left. Not even helping her stood up. Jasmine took five minutes before she finished setting herself. She wore casual black jeans and a black hoodie jacket paired with black shoes. She got no chance on examining her reflection in the mirror. She didn't take a bath. She simply wiped herself. She didn’t even know where the bathroom is. After everything was finished, she quickly rose downstairs without examining the whole room.
