Chapter 21 Just broke his leg

Daichi's body ached the moment he came to. Upon first noticing the unusual ceiling in the room, he was perplexed. He had never in his life had any impression of this room.
He whispered, "Where else is this?" His voice was still as hoarse as it had been.
Daichi's entire body hurt, but he forced himself to get up. Fortunately, the bed was soft and comfortable, so Daichi's waist and other parts of his lower body were not too sore.
Regardless, the young man hissed in pain.
"Does Yoshimoto want to torture me to death?"
Daichi began to grumble and curse as soon as he awoke, uttering harsh words. He was so focused on cursing Shuhei under his breath that he didn't notice the IV tube in his hand.
"Huh? Am I in the hospital?" Daichi was perplexed. "How come I don't feel like I am in a hospital?"
Daichi's attention was drawn to the glass balcony door. Daichi got out of bed and walked towards the balcony, ignoring his body, which was as rickety as scrap metal.
He could see the view outside from behind the glass door. Daichi is now aware that his current location is on the second floor.
He pushed the glass door open and was surprised to find it unlocked. His eyes twinkled with delight, especially when he noticed a thick expanse of grass beneath the balcony.
"I don't think it would hurt as much if I jumped down and landed on a patch of grass."
It felt like being given hope by a god, Daichi's mood improved. He had devised a plan in secret.
•~•
Daichi had not seen Shuhei, not even his shadow, all day, which made him happy. Only a nurse and another young woman came to check on him and bring him food.
The evening had arrived.
Daichi waited until it was late enough in the night for his escape to be relatively safe. Basically, he needed to get out of here as soon as possible.
Daichi took the IV from the back of his hand and began preparing.
He tied the ends of the sheet he had taken from the bed and would later use as a means of escape. It doesn't matter that the sheet isn't long enough to carry it all the way to the ground, its purpose is simply to reduce the height distance. Daichi was not foolish enough to jump from the balcony.
Daichi managed to set foot on the ground and walk quietly around the yard, surveying the situation. Fortunately, he didn't meet anyone.
"It's here, I'll make it. Just a tad bit more." Daichi said this while climbing a low-hanging fence.
Daichi gave a faint smile after crossing the fence. All he had to do now was follow the path in front of him.
Daichi ran as fast as he could, the presence of the luxurious house from which he had just escaped becoming increasingly visible behind him.
•~•
The skinny youth ran strangely on the quiet streets in the cold night.
A black car suddenly overtook the young man from behind. The young man's back body was illuminated by the car lights, as if was mocking him.
Daichi didn't notice anything unusual about the car behind him. He had only one thought, and that was to run and run so that he could get home as soon as possible.
The black car in front of Daichi now overtakes and abruptly stops in front of him.
Shuhei, dressed in a white shirt, stepped out of the car. In the light of the lamp, the iron rod in his hand gleamed.
Shuhei took a step forward, while Daichi took a step back.
Nobody knows how terrified Daichi was when he saw Shuhei's expression.
Shuhei was furious this time. He had intended to give Daichi space because he was concerned about his depression symptoms, but then he received word that his beloved had fled!
Shuhei didn't say much and immediately ordered Hiroki to prepare the car right away. And here he was, finding Daichi jogging happily in the middle of the road.
"You are determined to avoid me, aren't you, Daicchan?" Shuhei asked flatly.
Daichi was about to say 'no,' but his tongue slipped. Shuhei's current demeanor was extremely intimidating.
"If you are determined to avoid me, that is fine, but there will be consequences." Shuhei said once more.
Shuhei locked his gaze on Daichi's. He honestly had no idea what his beloved senior was thinking. But Shuhei was too upset to understand anything else. As a result, he approached Daichi with determination.
Daichi appeared to be shaking and depressed. Unfortunately, Shuhei no longer intends to be kind. He hit Daichi's right leg with the iron rod he was carrying in one swing.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!"
Screams of anguish echoed through the darkness of the night, along with the sound of bones breaking.
Daichi rolled down the road, his body convulsing and he was in excruciating pain in his right ankle.
Shuhei squatted down and lifted Daichi from the ground, casually throwing the iron stick in any direction.
Shuhei helped Daichi, whose leg was broken and bleeding, into the car.
Daichi was feeling increasingly helpless. He had no idea what to do because he had never felt pain before. He grabbed whatever was nearby to alleviate his pain.
Daichi's grip undid two buttons on Shuhei's shirts. Shuhei's broad chest and muscular shoulders were exposed in front of Daichi for the first time.
Shuhei raised an eyebrow at Daichi's actions but said nothing.
Daichi's face turned horrified when he saw that half of Shuhei's chest and shoulders were tattooed with dragon and peony flower patterns in the green and red colors.
Daichi's grip on Shuhei's clothes was trembling uncontrollably.
•~•
Daichi was taken to a real hospital this time. The examination revealed that his right leg had been damaged.
The doctor stated that "his bones were fractured and his joints were dislocated."
Daichi's heart broke when he realized the truth.
•~•
Shuhei stood next to Daichi's bed, who was staring at his'mummy' leg.
"You shouldn't have done that," Shuhei said.
Daichi frowned. "How can you say that when it was you who broke my leg? You're blaming me for what?"
"Escape." Shuhei pointed out.
Daichi burst out laughing uncontrollably.
"Can you tell me who you are, Yoshimoto?" After his laughter faded, Daichi spoke in a cold tone.
Daichi had already gone ahead before Shuhei could respond. "I already had a guess about you. I just didn't expect it. I mistook you for just another crazy, crooked young man. But it looks like your real identity is a terrifying one. You're a Yakuza, right?"
"Did you come to that conclusion after seeing my tattoos? Such tattoos are nothing special and can be done anywhere."
Daichi is irritated that Shuhei denied it. He had no way of forcing Shuhei to reveal his true identity.
"Alright, then, let's just say you are a wealthy lunatic and a complete psychopath."
Shuhei remained silent. His gaze locked on Daichi's.
"It's just that I still don't understand. Why should I?"
"I told you already," Shuhei gave Daichi a serious look. "I have been in love with you for a long time."
Daichi was taken aback by Shuhei's words. "Huh? How long has it been?"
"Since I was 10 years old," Shuhei added.
"Hah??" Daichi was completely taken aback. "You were crooked from a young age? How crazy! Then you, a crooked Yakuza, did you purposefully disguise yourself as a high school student to catch me?"
"What exactly do you mean by disguised? I'm really still at school age."
Daichi let out a sigh. He closed his eyes. To be honest, Daichi had even less hope of getting away after seeing Shuhei thus far.
It would be extremely difficult for an ordinary person like Daichi to handle.
That is why Daichi has the courage to speak with Shuhei, hoping to find a solution even if it means lowering his ego a little and specifically asking why Shuhei did all of this to him.
Despite the fact that the discussion had no outcome.
Shuhei no longer bothered Daichi because he was lost in thought. He strode his long legs out of the ward and did not return for several days.
