He looked at me and held my chin to motion my gaze on him. “Let me explain,” he said. I nodded and so he started talking. “I really like you, if I have the slightest chance with you, I’ll take it. You don’t know how bad you drive me crazy, El.” He exclaimed smiling. I let out a small giggle because of the thought. “I didn’t want to tell you about me going back to the Philippines, because I feared you’ll think that I’m giving up on you.” He explained so my eyes grew bigger. “No! I don’t think it’s like that at all, I thought you thought that I was rejecting you.” I blurted which is so hard to take back now that I’ve already said it. He’s going to think it was silly. He laughed a bit and then started talking again. “If that happened then I’ll just continue courting you, until you drive me away yourself. I’m not going to quit on you just because of a dumb reject, I can take a little bit of pain.” He said smiling. I also smiled with him and we looked at each other, at that moment the cold breeze of the wind delivered a message that only I could hear. It said Kiss him! And so I did. “Wow.” He muttered. His warm soft lips and mine colided like an eclipse, I felt a line of electricity jolted from my line to his. He grabbed my next and pulled me in deeper for the kiss, my hands started massaging her hair as we move closer to each other. “I’m not a Maria Clara, I don’t need months or years of courtship, I’ll be your girlfriend now.” I said still trying to catch my breathe. The two of us were panting and grasping some air, the amount of time we spent kissing each other prevented us from taking a sip of air. When he got better he pulled out a chair and helped me sit. “You okay?” He asked while patting my back helping me to breathe. I looked at him blankly, waiting for an expression. “Oh right! I’m going to forget about what you said for a while, let me do this the old fashioned way.” He suggested and bent on one knee. “I Ash Ron Mendoza, promise to understand, Love, and support my girlfriend. Will you, El Del Acosta accept me as your boyfriend? Can you be my girlfriend, El? He asked sweetly. I couldn’t stop smiling and then a tear just escaped my eye while looking at him. The tears just went on like a faucet that cannot be stopped. “Hey! Don’t cry, don’t cry sweetheart.” He tried stopping me from ruining my make up, he brushed my hair and patiently waited for an answer while still kneeling down. “Yes! Yes ofcourse, I want you to be my boyfriend.” I answered and we both laugh while hugging. I smelled the expensive smell of the perfume he was wearing as he stroked my hair back and forth, until I stopped crying. “I’ll get our foods, what do you want? We got a full buffet here.” He said pointing at the buffet table. It was the twenty-fifth of March, the month before summer season of modelling officially starts. The day Ash Ron, asked me to be his girlfriend. I was very happy, march is the month of happiness for me, though I did got sad when Ash went back to the Philippines. “ Are you sure that I’m not disturbing your sleep? “ I asked Ash Ron through the phone. I’m going to board a plane back to Melbourne any moment now, just finished a gig in Queensland. We’ve been talking to each other very often now, he went back to the Philippines two weeks ago, but we kept in touch. “No, you’re not, besides I want to hear your voice.” He said giggling. “Well I don’t have a schedule tomorrow, we can talk if you’re not busy.” I told him. I purposely told Aileen not to accept anymore schedules because I was trying to adjust for Ash too, he can’t be the one always adjusting for me. “That sounds good. I’m eating in a restaurant right now, they said it’s one of the finest here in Baguio, I’ll take you here when we visit the Pinas .” He cheerfully said. “I can’t wait to visit the Philippines too! I know you have so many tourist attractions there, by the way say Hi! To your relatives for me, okay?” I reminded. “Yes, ofcourse. I’ll tell them I have the most prettiest and hard-working girlfriend in the world.” He exclaimed. “CALLING ALL PASSENGERS OF FLIGHT-“ the announcement can be heard even on the phone. “Sorry I got to go now, have fun at Baguio, my sweetheart!” I bid my goodbyes. Just when I was about to cross the bridge my phone rang. “ Miss your flight is ready to leave, you must enter now.” The flight attendant at the gate told me. “ I just need a minute to receive this call, “ I told her. “ Mom, what’s up? I’m boarding a plane, can we talk later-“ mom cutted me off with her cries. I know something bad had happened when I heard her cry. “ What is it mom?” I asked in a soft manner trying to get her to calm down. “It’s your dad, he was complaining about headaches. We went to the hospital to have a consult, the doctors were busy because there was an accident at the Pier, there was a bomb. They sort of left us for a moment and then the next thing I knew he wasn’t talking at all, gladly a doctor, wait no, she’s an intern, she helped your dad. I don’t know what to do honey, he’s not waking up yet. “ My mom was crying while trying to deliver the message. Oh my God! My heart stopped for a while I think, I didn’t know what to do. It’s like everything stopped moving, they use to say that on the movies, but for the first time today I really felt it. I was just thinking how I didn’t even had the time to have actual fun with my family, how I could lose my father without even having to spend the rest of my life knowing the true him. “You need to calm down, so that we’ll know what’s wrong with you.” Aileen talked to me while brushing my hair. I’m currently seated in the V. I. P. Seat that the agency booked for me. “What happened?” I questioned. “You were blank, you weren’t talking so I just helped you walked through here. I convinced them that you were okay, they delayed the flight a bit to wait for you to be mentality conscious again.” Aileen revealed. “My dad, my dad is in the hospital.” I cried so Aileen hugged me. “She’s okay now, we’re ready for take off. She needs to be with her dad.” Valerie informed the flight attendant assigned to our cabin. “I’m going to inform the captain,” the flight attendant stated and then left to go in the nearest tele communication device. “Uhm El, I’m not sure now is the right time to tell you about this,” Aileen opened up about something which made me curious. Well might as well just know about whatever that is. “What is it? Just spill it,” I commanded. “During your shoot, your mom called about the company. It was featured on the news, it’s no longer one of the top ten companies in Australia, and it’s no longer part of the highest-earning companies in the world.” Aileen revealed what she was hiding. Maybe that’s what caused dad’s headache, maybe it was stress, or I don’t know at all. “I see,” I responded. “It’s been trending, your family is well know in the business industry, for a decade and more your family have been one of the best. Many reporters have already found out about your true identity, they know that you’re suppose to be the heir of the company, and since you still hold the family name they want to hear about your statement.” Valerie added more informations about what I’m going to be expecting once we land on Melbourne. “Danica and the Agency has taken care of issues that they have thrown at you in the agency, for now it’s not that chaotic there anymore.” Aileen informed. “One of the company board members had reached out to you, and the other’s sent their secretaries to send you a message, they’ve all been trying to talk to you. They want you to take back the company from Selene.” Valerie informed me. Oh my Gosh! This is all too much! How can this all be happening at once? Once we get off the plane the press will be on our tail, asking for my statement. I don’t even care about the company right now, I need to see how my dad is doing, mom doesn’t know anything about medicine so she can’t explain it to me, I don’t know anything about med too, but I want to know whether I’ll still be able to talk to my dad again or was this the end of the line for us. “Simon and Demon is with your mom, they went back there to take a few things when your dad started feeling some head pains.” Valerie added. I was too full-minded that I can’t even utter a word to them. When I tried my tears just burst out, this isn’t the best day I ever had. “It’s okay El’ we’ll handle the talking, you just keep your sanity okay?” Aileen asked me to just relax. “Wear your glasses when we get off, I’ll tackle anyone who’ll harass you if I have to, so don’t worry about anyone, you don’t need to speak to anyone we understand.” Valerie assured me.
