Chapter 29 My inmate's Fiance' is my ex-boyfriend

Chapter 29
"I just want to clarify something with her."
Jhanice was stunned.
"What? Are you losing your own sanity? You're going to ask a crazy woman!" she sighed in anger.
"What are you upset about? I won't lose anything if I ask that woman!" Adrian also couldn’t help but get angry at Jhanice’s opposition to his plan.
"Right, you're not going to lose anything but you're just wasting your time!" she taunted.
"I really can't quite figure out why you're so mad at that woman!" he nagged.
"Didn't you get it huh! You forgot about me because of that woman!" tears began to trickle down her eyes.
Adrian suddenly calmed down.
"Babe, forgive me, I didn't intend to hurt your feelings." Adrian took a handkerchief and wiped the tears from Jhanice's eyes.
"Please babe, forget about that girl," she wept.
Adrian squeezed Jhanice's hands to ease her feelings.
"Babe, you're the one who told me that woman is losing her sanity, do you think I'll trade you for that kind of woman?" Adrian explained.
Jhanice felt relieved and hugged Adrian.
"Please, grant me," Adrian pleaded as he hugged Jhanice tightly.
Jhanice thought not to interfere with Adrian's wishes so that he would not be suspicious of her.
"Babe, I'll talk to my friend first about your plan, because she's the only one who can help us, so we can get inside the mental hospital," she replied in a calm voice.
"Babe, I'll expect that," Adrian kissed Jhanice on her forehead and leaned towards her chair.
The two fell silent and continued with their breakfast.
"Forgive me for what I did to you earlier," Adrian stared at Jhanice with his puffy eyes.
"I'm the one who should apologize to you," Jhanice said seriously as she took a slice of beef stew.
Adrian also took a slice of beef stew. "It's delicious," he smiled at Jhanice as he chewed.
Their maid came and she laid on the table the Bird's nest soup she had cooked.
"You really like that kind of soup," he gave Adrian a fake smile.
"Isn't this what you used to cook for me?" Adrian asked in astonishment.
"Yes, I always cooked you like that back then that's why I want to cook another recipe as well."
"Ma'am Jhanice, forgive me for interrupting you but I just wanted to let you know that you only have ten minutes left in your time," their maid interrupted the conversation.
Jhanice stared at her wristwatch.
"Babe, my time is up I need to leave," Jhanice took a table napkin and hurriedly wiped her mouth and hands.
"Okay babe, be careful," Adrian stood up and kissed Jhanice's lips.
Jhanice hurried towards her office. She saw that her office was open, she forgot that she had left the key with Kelly.
She hurried inside and saw Kelly wiping the chair. She noticed that Kelly's stomach was slowly getting bigger so she couldn't help but get annoyed.
"Good morning," Kelly greeted her cheerfully.
“Jhanice, I just opened the office because it seems like thirty minutes have been wasted on our time."
Jhanice didn't say a word but when the dirt stuck to her chair hit her eyes she became very angry.
"Why is there still dirt on my chair!" she snapped.
Kelly quickly took alcohol to wipe Jhanice's chair again.
"Is that how you work!" she yelled. "Get organized if you don't want to lose your job!" Jhanice held her breath because of her intense anger.
"Jhanice, forgive me because I didn't realize there was still dirt left on your seat," Kelly humbly apologized.
"Don't call me by my name anymore, call me Ma'am because I'm your boss!"
Kelly was nervous because of Jhanice's sudden change in behavior.
"What happened to her? Why did she suddenly get mad at me?" she said quietly.
"Why aren't you talking there!" Jhanice's voice growled.
"There's no problem with what you proposed," she said humbly.
"If you don't have a problem why don't you even mention to me the thing I'm asking of you!"
She kicked the table in front of her out of sheer rage.
"Ma'am Jhanice, I don't have a problem please don't be angry," Kelly shuddered.
"Next time, fix your work well because I pay you a lot!"
Jhanice was still not satisfied because she took the documents and threw them on the floor.
"Didn't I tell you to fix the documents? Why is it still messy here in the drawer?" Jhanice frowned as she stomped on the documents strewn on the floor.
Kelly wasted no time and hurriedly picked up the documents that scattered on the floor.
She just let go of the hurtful words Jhanice threw at her because she really needed to work for her room rent and her other needs.
As she picked up the documents she burst into tears and it dripped over the documents and wet it with her tears.
"What happened to my documents!" Jhanice's eyes widened in shock.
Jhanice snatched the documents from Kelly's hands.
"Don't you know how important these documents are to me? I forgot, you're not as educated so you don't know how important it is!" It was as if a needle had pierced Kelly's heart with the hurtful words Jhanice had thrown at her.
She moaned because she didn’t expect that she would also experience mistreatment from the person she considered as a true friend.
"Ma'am, forgive me because I was just carried away by my emotions," she spluttered.
She felt sorry for Kelly but she didn't want her to take away the man she loved the most.
Suddenly Jhanice's cellphone rang.
"Mommy Helena, why?" she answered in a soft voice.
Kelly stopped sobbing because of the name she heard. She remembered the oppression she had suffered at the hands of her boss. Jhanice noticed that Kelly was listening to their conversation so she moved away so that Kelly could not hear their conversation.
"What? Ardrian called you!" Jhanice was hooked.
"Come here! I think little by little his memory came back," Jhanice heard the apprehension in Doña Helena's voice.
Jhanice became anxious and hurriedly grabbed her bag. She was about to leave the office but she caught a glimpse of Kelly.
"You take care of here. Just lock the office because you have the key," she told Kelly.
Kelly nodded and didn't speak anymore because she saw that Jhanice was in a hurry.
She wonders why she heard Doña Helena's name.
"Why do I feel nervous when I hear the same name as Doña Helena?" she shuddered as she caressed her chest.
Kelly thoroughly cleaned the entire office and even organized the documents. Five hours passed but Jhanice still did not return to the office so Kelly decided to close the office and go home as well.
As she was walking towards her rented room her cellphone suddenly rang.
She saw Jhanice calling so she answered immediately.
"Hello, Ma'am Jhanice," she politely greeted.
"Forgive me earlier I was just carried away by my emotions," she apologized to Kelly.
"Oh, just forget that ma'am because I understand you," Kelly felt relieved because of Jhanice's apology to her.
"Are you still in the office?"
"Ma'am, I'm sorry I just came home because I thought you weren't coming back to the office," Kelly explained nervously.
Jhanice heard the stutter in Kelly's voice.
"That's okay, I just have a request for you," she said with a sense of guilt.
"Ma'am, I'm ready for any of your requests," she replied in a happy voice.
“I left my cash in the office and I’ll use that for my vacation,” she said in a pleading tone.
"Can you go back to the office to get my money? I don't have time to withdraw because I still have a lot to take care of, I'll just take my money to your place later," she added.
"No problem."
"Thank you so much for understanding me, I put the money in my drawer," she replied in a delighted voice.
Jhanice put down her cellphone even though Kelly hadn't answered yet.
After they talked Kelly returned immediately to the office. She was happy because Jhanice apologized to her and their relationship as friends returned.
She opened the office and she immediately opened the drawer.
Three bundles of money startled her sight.
"Its a lot of money!" Kelly's eyes filled with tears because her eyes were not used to seeing heaps of money.
She took her bag and she put the money.
She hurried out and she locked the office but she was shocked when she saw that there were two partol cars and many policemen waiting outside. She glanced to her left and she shivered as she saw a policeman pointing a gun at her.
She hugged her bag out of sheer fear.
"Surrender calmly so you don't get hurt!" the policeman upbraided her.
Kelly was nervous and her whole body trembled. She hugged her bag and closed her eyes but as she opened her eyes there were reporters who took video and photos of her.
A policeman approached her and took the bag she was hugging, the police opened it while a reporter also approached to take a video of the money seized from her bag.
"An office cleaner was caught in the act while stealing her employer's money," a reporter said in his live video.
Kelly's heart broke and she let all her tears trickle down her cheeks.
