Chapter 34 My inmate's Fiance' is my ex-boyfriend
Chapter 34
Stephen hurriedly picked up his cellphone and called Lyca.
He tried to dial her number but no one answered. He tried again but could not reach Lyca's number.
"Sweetie, forgive me," he apologized to Lyca. He could not understand how he felt.
Stephen went down the stairs and went straight to the garden. He could not explain how he felt and something was bothering his mind.
"Lyca!" Stephen shouted loudly.
"Forgive me if I hurt your heart!" he cried.
Stephen had no intention of hurting Lyca but he didn’t realize that he had already hurt her because he was being true to himself.
He doesn't know if he will be happy with Lyca's decision because there is a part of his heart that regrets the departure of his ex -girlfriend.
Stephen went back to his room and he immediately thought of visiting Kelly because he planned to help her get out of jail. He picked up his cellphone and immediately contacted his best friend who was a lawyer. He called three times but didn’t answer his calls so he thought of sending an email to his friend about everything that had happened to Kelly.
"Good day, Sir," the jail guard greeted him.
Stephen shook the guard's hand and smiled at him.
"I'm here now because I want to visit someone," Stephen said cheerfully as he put his two hands in his pockets. He took off his hat and calmly waited for the guard to say something.
He was happy because he would finally confess to Kelly all about why he suddenly left her.
"May I know who you're looking for?" the guard asked as he prepared his logbook.
“I want to visit Kelly Sawyer,” Stephen said excitedly.
He is very happy because he is free to tell Kelly everything and he also wants them to live quietly and happily with Kelly's offspring.
"Sir, forgive me but the person you are looking for is no longer here," the jail guard said sadly.
"Why? Where is she now?" he asked in shock.
"She's been out of jail for a week and she's been transferred to another cell," the guard replied as he glanced at his logbook.
"Where did she move? Please tell me because she needs me now," Stephen pleaded.
"I have just been assigned here and the former guard has resigned and he does not state the complete details of where the prison is being taken," the guard added.
Stephen was nervous and immediately thought of Jhanice.
He got in his white car and he immediately drove it.
"Sir, who are you looking for?" the maid asked as she saw Stephen outside the mansion.
"I was looking for Miss Jhanice Khan," Stephen answered as he leaned into his car.
The maid hurriedly left to let her boss know that someone was looking for her.
Five minutes later, Jhanice came out to face Stephen.
"Hi, you're here!" Jhanice trilled.
Stephen's eyes lit up with anger.
"Why did you imprison Kelly?" Stephen exploded in rage.
Suddenly the joy on Jhanice's face disappeared and was replaced by mixed nervousness.
"Stephen, I'll explain," Jhanice forced herself to calm down so that what she would say to Stephen would be convincing.
"Kelly robbed me of a huge amount so I put her in jail!" she fumed.
"I don't believe that Kelly can do that!" he screeched.
"You turned your back on Kelly so she did that!" she vociferated.
Stephen was embarrassed by what he heard from Jhanice.
"Where did you move Kelly? Release her because I believe she's innocent!"
Anger prevails in Lyca's heart because she is jealous of Kelly because two men love her and are ready to fight her.
"The evidence against Kelly is strong because there is CCTV footage that can prove that she stole the money!" she blushed in rage.
"I'll help Kelly get out and I'll get her a good lawyer!" Stephen threatens Jhanice.
Jhanice was worried because she was afraid Kelly would get out of jail.
"All right look for Kelly in all the jails here in the Philippines, let's see if you can find her!" Jhanice replied as her throat trembled.
Stephen did not respond but left and hurried into his car.
Jhanice was worried because she didn’t want to ruin her plans.
“I need to be able to talk to Mommy Helena about my problem,” she exhaled.
"Babe, who is that man?" Adrian asked in astonishment.
Jhanice became complacent because Adrian had not yet remembered his past.
"Babe, he's Kelly's boyfriend who lied to her and exchanged her for another woman after taking all her money," she stammered.
"What? That man is shameless!" Adrian growled in anger.
“I’m worried for Kelly because that guy will definitely find her,” she snivelled.
“She has our offspring in her womb so we must make a way to keep Kelly out of danger,” Adrian commented.
Jhanice was secretly happy because she knew Adrian would do everything for his baby.
Adrian called the mental hospital and notified all staff to keep Kelly and all information about her.
Meanwhile, Stephen returned to the jail but not a single one of the jail staff had the courage to provide information about Kelly. He was disappointed and he was even more worried about Kelly.
Stephen was so upset, he drove not knowing where to go. As he was meditating his cellphone suddenly rang and he saw his Auntie Helena calling. He was grumpy with her Auntie but he had to answer her call.
He slammed his steering wheel before answering his Auntie.
"Hello," he answered in a dry tone.
"Stephen, where are you huh! This is my third call and it's a good thing you answered me now," her Auntie's voice suddenly calmed down.
“Forgive me because I just had something important to take care of,” Stephen justified.
"You haven't been to the office for a week so I have something to ask you to do," his Auntie exclaimed.
"Auntie, I'm not in the mood right now so I want to rest first," Stephen said in a disgusted tone.
“I need your help now, you need to go to America as soon as possible because I have a business appointment there and I can’t leave the company here,” his Auntie pleaded.
"Auntie, just send Archie back to America because I have a lot to take care of here," Stephen refused.
"I can't count on Archie because you know your cousin's behavior, he and Adrian are very different," said his Auntie in a pitiful tone.
Stephen finds it difficult to refuse his Auntie’s wishes because he is so indebted to her. His Auntie has been educating him since his parents died. His Auntie also helped him to become a successful Architect.
"Auntie, how many days will I stay in America?"
"Please stay there for five months until Adrian's memory returns," Doña Helena pleaded.
Stephen would have liked to refuse but he had to reciprocate his Auntie’s kindness to him.
"I've already booked a ticket for you and you have to leave tomorrow," his Auntie commanded.
Stephen did nothing but follow his Auntie. He also plans to save a lot of money to help Kelly get a good lawyer and also help her get out of jail.
"Honey, just be patient there because I'll get back to you and I'll do everything to get you out of jail," he muttered.
"Are you saying something?" his Auntie asked in a hoarse voice.
"No, I'm just thinking of something."
"Don't hesitate because that's your opportunity and your dream of going to America will come true," she encouraged Stephen.
Four months passed.
"Ms. Kelly, your stomach is so big and you look like you're about to give birth," the nurse commented to her.
“Yeah, my stomach is so heavy because I’m going to give birth next month,” Kelly said as she stroked her belly.
"Your tummy is only eight months old but it's already very big," the nurse said while also stroking Kelly's stomach.
As the two of them talked Kelly suddenly felt dizzy.
"Nurse, help me!" Kelly screamed in pain.
The nurse was surprised because Kelly turned pale and her vomiting was constant.
"Doctor, help us!" the nurse shouted loudly as she supported Kelly.Download Novelah App
