Chapter 42 My inmate's Fiance' is my ex-boyfriend

Chapter 42
Kelly was nervous at the guard's words.
"My cousin is getting married and I invited her here," replied Stephen in a strict voice.
"Excuse me sir, you may enter now," said the guard in a shaky voice.
Stephen immediately put his arm around Kelly and they went inside.
Kelly forced herself to calm down but she could still feel the trembling in her chest.
As they approached, Kelly saw the rich guests of Adrian and Jhanice. She felt herself shrinking but she had to be strong.
They were walking slowly and Kelly could feel her legs shaking.
Kelly immediately saw Adrian and Jhanice facing the priest and all the guests barely blinked their eyes to witness their unison.
Her chest almost exploded and she could feel the pain in her heart.
Silence enveloped the surroundings and none of the guests noticed their arrival.
"Is there no objection to this marriage?" asked the Priest as he looked around at all the guests.
Kelly wanted to talk but it felt like something was blocking her throat and her mouth couldn't say anything.
"I repeat, Will there be no objection to this marriage?" the Priest asked again.
All the guests were silent.
Stephen glanced at Kelly and noticed her frown.
"Since no one will object, I will go ahead with this wedding."
All the guests applauded.
Kelly also noticed Jhanice's sweet smile on Adrian.
"You woman, do you accept this man as your spouse through thick and thin?" the voice of the Priest echoed.
"Yes father, I accept him with all my heart," Jhanice quickly responded in a happy voice.
Kelly's lips trembled hearing the bride's answer.
She stepped quickly to approach the Priest.
"Father, I will object to this wedding because I am the groom's girlfriend and we already have babies," Kelly protested.
She suddenly grabbed the groom's elbow.
"Adrian! Do you still remember me? I'm the woman you promised to marry and not that woman!" her loud voice echoed as she knelt down and let her tears trickle down her cheeks just to prevent the marriage of the man she loved.
"Get out of here and don't ruin my marriage!" the bride's eyes glazed over with rage.
Kelly knelt down as her eyes pleaded with the groom but Stephen forcibly picked her up and removed her so that the priest could continue the marriage.
"Stop! I want to talk to her!" growled the groom as he removed the bride's hands that clung tightly to his arm.
"You're my girlfriend? Is what you said really true?" Adrian asked Kelly.
His feelings are mixed because there is a part of his heart that wants to believe in Kelly.
"Yes, I'm your girlfriend, please you need to remember everything, everything you promised me before you lose your memory," Kelly sobbed.
"Don't believe that crazy girl!" Jhanice shouted while giving Kelly a bad look.
"If you are my girlfriend where did we first meet?"
Adrian stared at Kelly from head to toe because he was eager to know her answer.
"We first met in ...", she stammered.
Kelly could barely speak because of Adrian's stares at her.
"We first met by the river and we talked under the tree," Jhanice suddenly answered.
Adrian turned his gaze to Jhanice because he also always dreamed of a river and a big tree with a woman talking to him.
"You really are my girlfriend," Adrian said smiling as he focused his gaze on Jhanice.
"I'm your girlfriend, please don't pay attention to that crazy girl!"
"I told you everything about Adrian and I meeting before, so don't pretend you're his real girlfriend!"
Kelly struggled to get out of Stephen's hold on her.
"Father, let's go ahead with this wedding!" Doña Helena shouted.
Adrian was stunned and was even more confused.
They heard the guests making noise and gossiping.
"Because someone objected to this marriage, I am sorry that I will not go ahead with it," the Priest announced sadly.
"I can't agree because this girl is losing her mind!" Doña Helena shouted in her contemptuous voice.
"I'm going to continue with this wedding, I apologize to everyone," announced the Priest.
"I can't agree! I'm his real girlfriend!" Kelly shouted.
"Get that crazy girl away!" Doña Helena ordered Stephen as she stared at him fiercely.
Stephen held Kelly's hands.
"Let's get out of here because you can go to jail again if you fight for what you want," Stephen whispered to Kelly.
Kelly's tears flowed.
"Adrian! I hope you remember everything because I'm your real girlfriend!"
Adrian felt sorry for Kelly because he thought she was mentally ill.
"Babe, I hope you remember me one day!" Kelly shouted again.
Stephen supports Kelly so they can leave. He noticed the contemptuous stares of the guests at them.
Kelly bowed her head because she was embarrassed and seemed to be melting in shame.
"Stephen, Is the person with you your friend?" a familiar voice asked him.
Stephen turned his back.
"Uncle!" Stephen answered in shock.
Mr. C turned out to be the one who followed them.
"Uncle, forgive me," replied Stephen in a low voice.
"That's nothing," replied Mr. C
"Uncle, I'll explain later, I'll take my friend to his house first."
Kelly kept her head down and didn't even raise her head to see the person talking to Stephen.
"Congratulations to the newlyweds!" the Priest's voice rang in Kelly's ears.
Her heart almost broke and it felt like it had been stabbed a thousand times.
She could do nothing but let her tears flow freely down her cheeks.
"Uncle, we're leaving," Stephen said in his respectful voice.
Stephen took Kelly to the seaside to get some fresh air.
"Pour out all your resentment here," Stephen advised.
Kelly ran to the beach and faced the waves as if challenging her to release all her anger.
"Adrian!"
"Adrian!" Why did you abandon me? Why did you forget me?
"Why can't you remember me?" screamed Kelly.
"Why did you exchange me for someone else?" she sobbed.
"Why did we end up like this?" she shouted loudly.
