Chapter 7.1

Why am I seeing this handsome evil before me?
Vivid memories flashed in my mind.
‘Hey, you! Leave Zainea and marry me instead. She has her Zerro anyway. You have no space in her heart.’
‘What nonsense are you saying? Just go to bed.’
‘Hmm. No. No. Here, sleep beside me. My husband...’
Fudge?! What did I do?! Did I really say that?! Fuck that wine. It really got me good.
I slowly remove my blanket. Is this his room? Curse you, self. Why did you bring yourself here?!
No, my clothes. Who changed my clothes? Why am I wearing my pajamas?!
‘Damn, woman! What are you doing?!’ He panicked when I removed my jacket.
‘What? It's hot.’ When I was going to remove my shirt, he holds my hands down.
‘Get a hold of yourself, woman. I might not be able to control myself!’ He takes the blanket on the bed, and covered me with it.
‘Don't remove anything. I'll open the windows and aircons for you. Okay?’ He went to the windows and opened it.
I laughed. ‘You, conservative man. I want to change my clothes!’
I removed the blanket.
‘Hey! Zainea! Fuck!’ He immediately went outside when he saw me stripping.
The hell I did?! I... I... I stripped right in front of him?! For real?!
Gosh, let's leave for now. This is so embarrassing!
I tiptoed.
Hang on. Today, he will be meeting Caileigh, right? Then I must meet her. I must know what plans she has. I need to know where and when they will be meeting.
I searched for Zayden's phone.
Shoot! It's on the table.
I'm so sorry. I don't intend to trespass over your privacy, but I really need to.
I opened it. Gosh, it has a password! Worst, it's a pin number. Number!
I learned from Megan that Zainea has a phobia on numbers, so it's no use for me to memorize any number for now.
His fingerprint is my last resort. Eysh. Should I? Ok, take the risk, Calais.
Please, don't wake up. I swear, I will compensate you for this.
When I was about to hold his hand, he opened his eyes. That scared me to death! Can't he open his eyes slowly?!
“U-Uh, hehehe. G-Good morning...?”
“You're grounded. For a month.”
“W-What? Excuse me? Did I hear it right? I'm grounded? Why?”
He got out from his bed.
Gosh, justice please. Why is he so gorgeous with those messy hair?
“For getting drunk.”
“Are you serious? I'm not a kid!”
He saw his phone on my hand.
“Oh. I... I just want to take a look at your phone. It's quite my type.”
“Just say you like all my things and me.”
He grabbed his phone back.
“Don't fancy yourself. Who would like you for being so rude?”
“You.”
“Ha! Keep on dreaming!”
He looked at me from head to toes.
“What are you looking at?! Do you want me to poke your eyes, and take them out?!”
“Sadist. We're on the same page, then. You're not my type.”
“Good, then!”
“What you did yesterday night was beyond my expectation. What would your fans think if they see this video of yours? You look so stupid.”
“What are you saying? What video?”
He opened the big screen on the wall and played something.
This is a nightmare for Zainea. Really.
“Remember that you're grounded. Behave and don't do something more stupid if you don't want me to post this.”
Zayden Constello, you're a real jackass.
30 minutes have passed since Zayden went to work, and until now, I'm still thinking of ways on how to get out from this house without alarming the maids and securities. Why did he hire a lot of bodyguards to guard me?! I'm not a prisoner!
“Ma'am, are you hungry?” a maid asked me when I went down from my room.
“No. I'll just make a call. You can leave.”
I went directly to the telephone.
“Hang on. What's Zayden's number? I forgot my phone and I can barely remember his number,” I lied.
“I'm sorry, ma'am. Sir's number is very much confidential, so no one knows his number aside from his secretary and family. Try contacting his secretary's number, ma'am. Here.”
She handed me a business card.
“Thank you. Sorry for bothering you.”
“It's our job to serve you, ma'am. I should get back to work. Just call me if you need anything else, ma'am.”
“Okay.”
I entered the number and waited for it to be answered.
“Tristan Cohen speaking.”
“Tristan? Uhm, where are you? Are you with your boss?”
“Ma'am—”
“It's Zainea. Zai. Tsk. How many times should I tell you to quit calling me ma'am? I'm your boss's wife, but you should consider me as your friend! Not another boss. Understand? Anyway, where is that snob man? Is he with you? I forgot where I put his business card, I can't call him.”
“I... Ahh...”
“Can you side with me just for once? You won't be able to get a wife if you continue to work for him, I tell you.”
“And your video is at risk if you keep on pestering my secretary, I tell you.”
“You—! Give the phone back to Tristan. He's the one I called, not you!”
“Yet you're asking him my location?”
“Well... Uhm...”
“About the thing you just said. Save your concern. Tristan will have his own wedding this year.”
“Tss. Why are you eavesdropping on someone's call?”
“I'm not. By the way, he won't betray me and side with you.”
He hung up the call.
Wow! I want to curse him endlessly. No one dared to do that to me. How dare he hung up the call?
I called Tristan's number again.
“Just tell me when and where are you meeting Caileigh Ruscitti.”
“Didn't I tell you that you're grounded?”
“Let me meet her—hello?! Hey!! Hello?!”
Curse you, Zayden! Curse you!
I need to meet Caileigh! What if this is the only chance I have?!
I called his number again, but it's already unattended.
You can't keep me here.
I went back to my room and search for something that I could use to escape. Fortunately, I found some prosthesis on Zainea's bag. Perhaps, she's using these to disguise herself when she was still dating Zerro.
Speaking of, where is that man? Is he doing well? Zainea, dear. I don't know how to help you get together with your beloved one.
“Ma'am, your snack is here.”
“Come in!” I put the prosthesis in the drawer.
The same maid comes in and puts the tray on the table.
“Uhm, what's your name? For how many years you've been working here? You seem young.”
“I'm Bea, ma'am. And I just started yesterday.”
That Constello. He hired many maids to tie me down.
“Oh. Bea, I... uhm... I'm so sorry... I really am.”
“Y-Yes? Pardon me, ma'am? What are you sorry of?”
“Sorry. For this.”
“M-Ma'am...” She faints as I injected the tranquilizer I got from the medical kit at the kitchen. Who even put this tranquilizer there?!
“Sorry. Sorry. I will pay you back after this.”
I pulled her on the bed and took of her maid outfit.
I immediately put on the prosthesis and fixed everything. I wear the uniform and carry the tray downstairs.
“Hey,” someone called me.
“Y-Yes?” Did she recognize me?
“Can you buy these stuffs for me? I have things to do.”
“Sure! Give me.” As long as I can go out, sure.
“Thank you. Be sure to be back as soon as you buy these ones because we'll be cooking those for lunch.”
“I get it.”
“Okay.”
I gave her the tray, and walks outside.
I lowered my head when I saw the men in black patrolling around the whole house.
“Where are you going?” the one who is guarding on the gate asked me.
“I...well.” I showed him the grocery list.
“Oh.” He opened the gate.
At last!
“Thank you.”
I walked for 10 minutes until I get out from the village.
Where will I find that rude man?
Hang on. If Caileigh was back, she might be staying at the penthouse we bought. Right. I should visit there.
I took a cab.
“Thank you. Keep the change.” I gave the money which if supposedly for the grocery. I'll pay it once I'm done with my mission.
I approached the guard on the gate. Thank goodness it's the same guard we hired to watch over the penthouse.
“How may I help you, ma'am?” he asked.
“Well, uhm, I'm here to see Caileigh Ruscitti. Is she in here?”
“Sorry, ma'am. Ma'am Caileigh is not here anymore. She immediately moved all their things a month ago and sold this penthouse to someone. I don't know where she is now.”
I clenched my fist. A smart bitch.
Caileigh, I won't really let you off.
“O-Oh. Thank you. I should get going then.”
I let out a deep sigh. What should I do now? If only that man didn't ground me. Urgh, how dare he trick me?
“Zainea.” A man approached me. He's wearing a black cap and a face mask.
How come he recognized me when I'm still wearing my disguise? Who is he? Is he a stalker?!
“You got the wrong person. I'm not her.”
I walked on the opposite direction.
“Wait!” He grabs my hand.
“Wahh! No! Let me go! I'm not Zainea!”
“Hey, it's me.” He removes his mask.
“Zerro?”
“It's me. What are you doing here? Come with me.”
We went into his condominium.
So, this is where he is staying. I can see that he's doing good. For now.
I should let Zainea out and handle her affairs.
“I will get you a water. You can sit there.”
“Okay. Uhm, can I borrow a pen and paper?”
“Why?”
“Nothing. Just... Just let me borrow. Can I?”
Although he's confused, he opened the table's drawer and get what I am asking.
“Thank you. By the way, I like coffee.”
He pats my head.
“You miss my coffee, aren't you? Okay, wait for me here. You can look around. I'll just prepare some snacks for you.”
“Okay. Take your time.”
He went to the kitchen.
I write all I have to say to Zainea in the paper and bit my index finger.
