The nice houses in the hillsides matches well with the farm that was clean and well-maintained. Samantha eyed the valleys. She stared through the window. The wedding is happening in the afternoon, tomorrow. She was alone as Gregory was outside. She tore her eyes away. Samantha head outside the room. Prancing down the hall, she searched for him. She walked outside searching for him. He was nowhere to be found. Samantha saw Aunt Nina trimming the bushes on the side. The woman was wearing gloves and a hat to shield her face from the scorching sun. She was humming a tone which was in sync with the melody of a lullaby. As to which Samantha is familiar with. The woman turned abruptly. Samantha simply stared. Aunt Nina took the hat off. She wore a mask which was then removed too. Samantha smiled at the woman. “Do you need help, Aunt Nin?” She asked. “Oh, no. No dear.” Aunt Nina quickly answered her question. “I like doing the trimmings myself, dear. I just love the feeling of taking good care of my own plants.” Samantha smiled. Aunt Nina loves planting which she mentioned during their dinner. “I wish I’ll have the green thumb that you have, Aunt Nin. Then I can plant whatever I wanted to have without fearing that it will die.” The woman languidly shook her head but she was smiling at her. “Just start my dear. I’m sure you will be able to take good care of it.” She replied. Samantha smiled. “I will try, Aunt Nin.” She then looked around. “Have you seen Greg, Aunt Nin?” Samantha was wondering where did the man wandered off. The woman smiled. “She went to the stables. Dear. He offered to help Marcus.” Something passed in the woman’s eyes before she kept the smile on. “You two… I like how the two of you were paired with each other.” Samantha’s cheeks flushed in crimson because of the compliment. “Thank you, Aunt Nin.” She replied meekly. The woman’s smile widened. “Now go and see your husband, dear.” She commented. -- It was a traditional farmhouse kind of stable. Samantha stopped her track upon reaching the front of it. She was silently staring. She then walked inside. There were four stalls in the southside of the barn. A single stall in the opposing side. She finally felt her breath hitch when she saw him there. He was putting a large hay in the storage container for food. The space is made out of raw wood. It was painted giving it a finished look. His back was turned away from her so Samantha took her time to let her eyes look around. The place was well-furnished. “Sam…” Gregory suddenly uttered. “Why are you here? Did you have enough rest?” He asked. Samantha then blinked her eyes for a few times before meeting his gaze. “I was looking for you.” She replied. She was left alone in the room. Of course, she will look for his presence. Because, Samantha craves his presence. She didn’t utter what her mind just thought about. Instead, she waited for another response from him. Gregory stared and smiled. Samantha’s eyes was searching through him. She then walked towards him. Gregory looked tired and worn out. “Do you need some help? You’re tired, Greg.” Samantha uttered under her breath. She notices a lot when it comes to him and his state. She took steps to get closer to him before she pulled out a handkerchief in the small pocket of her denim dress. She went nearer. She used the hankie to wipe the sweat off that trickled down his forehead. She then moved it to wipe the other side of his cheek. “Your white shirt is mess up.” She told him. Gregory stilled frozen in place. He was staring at her both displaying the expression of a sudden shock and eyes filled with adoration. He then reached for his wrist, the side Samantha used to wipe his face with the handkerchief she had in her hand. Samantha stilled but then Gregory used it as an opportunity to guide her through wiping the excess sweat that remained in his face. They are now both staring eye to eye… “What can you say on the interiors?” He asked. Gregory was trying not to cough right after Samantha directly stared at his eyes. Another capturing of gazes happened between the two of them. Both then removed their stares from after a few seconds that passed. Samantha then cleared her throat. “Uhhm. I feel this is a European styled one. The stalls…” She answered while she stared at him. Gregory averted his stare for a bit. He was still holding her wrist even after Samatha was finished. He didn’t remove his grip. “You’re right.” He suddenly cleared his throat. “The side stall petitions, the stall doors, all the wood, and the bucket hooks.” Samantha uttered. It was apparent that Gregory was listening but he was trying to not meet her gaze. She frowned because of it. From his peripherals of his vision he caught a glimpse of her reaction. He then stared again back at her. This time he looked at her straight in the eye then flashed a boyish grin. “The tall ceilings that allow for open air. The spacious large chandeliers. The custom gooseneck are steel and copper.” He flashed a smile at her this time around, showing his bare teeth. “Right…” It was all that she can reply. “Well then, I have to check the other stalls too. I wanted to feed a horse.” She turned her back and took a step away from her when she was suddenly held by the wrist. Gregory pulled her close. His breath fanned in the side of her neck which made the hairs of her skin stood up. She stopped her breathing for a bit before she quickly turned to face him. Their faces were again close. Too close that Samantha almost can see a vision of them kissing each other’s lip. Both blinked in sync as if both realized something. They both turned their head away from each other. Gregory messed his hair while Samantha tried to look at the hays… Gregory made a coughing sound which made Samantha to stare back at him. He was trying to moved his stare around. Trying to not get caught with Samantha’s eyes. But then decided to stare at her eyes once again. “Why would you go on the other side when what you’re looking for is already right in front of you?” Gregory asked.
