Samantha stared at the mirror and tend to her husband who was struggling to fix his tie. She peered through his act before she then held his hand and stopped him. “Let me.” She said to him. Gregory gave in, his eyes were smiling at her. She smiled back before she fixed it. “I never know orange will look this good.” Gregory started while his eyes scanned her dress. She raised her chin and leveled her gaze to meet his. “Why?” She asked him. “The moment I knew that one of the color schemes of their wedding has orange in it, I thought they were aiming for tangerines.” He told her. Samantha laughed. She laughed as she found the delighted joy in her when she heard him. “That’s a funny thing to say but I think we just have to shut our mouths and to not talk about it when we were with the other guests.” Gregory raised his other brow at her. His eyes were looking at her with playful enthusiasm. “Why? You thought of the same thing too?” She did one last stroke of fixing his tie, smiled, and nodded at him. “Yes.” She replied with a hitchy breathy sound. Gregory couldn’t contain the way he was concealing his emotion, suddenly chuckled because of what Samantha said. He leaned and gave her a peck on the lips before he smiled sweetly. “You’re funny too, wife.” He told her. ** [Flashback] “My family loves guacamole.” It came from Amanda who is measuring her vital statistics. Samantha only stared at her concealing the thought that came in her head on how fast the woman opened up to her. “That’s why I proceeded by including green to my wedding.” She wrote the numbers in the small notepad she was holding. She eyed her. “But I hated that color before. I only learned to love it when I turned 19. When my family decided to renovate our home and painted the main walls of our living room with that color.” She was smiling as she was trying to think about it. She stared at Samantha once again. “I took a photo with it. I saw how good it looked and viola!” Her eyes sparked of light. “I like it.” Samantha can’t help to move her lips and smiled at her. “That’s lovely.” Amanda gave her a thumbs up. She took a seat since her leg was giving its strength off because of the heels she was wearing. “And how about the orange? And the blues?” Amanda turned her head at her. She placed the pen on the side of her ear, tucking it behind. “Well, I just felt like it. I love the bright colors and orange belongs in it. And my husband…” She began smiling widely, teeth were showing. “He loves blue. Ever since he was young, he always love it.” She smiled at her. “And how about this? You’re the one who is measuring the suits and the dresses of your wedding attendees. You’re bridesmaid and the groomsmen.” Samantha told her. Amanda took the opposite side, as she sat on the empty chair in front of her. She crossed her legs, sat upright… “I love fashion. I love dresses. I fancy them a lot back then when I was younger.” She reclined her back to the cushion. “My mother loved them. She showed me the looks and the ones she wore when she was younger… Even the whole collection of the clothing designs and photography she has, she showed them all to me.” Samantha showed her the look of relatability. “And that is where it all started...” She trailed off. Amanda removed the leg resting on top of the other abruptly before she snapped a finger. “You were right.” “I like how you guys decided to get married around this spring season where all of the flowers and trees bloom.” Samantha uttered as she was reminded of how lovely the place was. Amanda smiled at her while she moved her head, tilting for a bit. “Right, although the theme’s autumn.” She replied. Samantha smiled at her. “But it doesn’t really matter.” Amanda raised her hand and wave it up in the air. “It does. The problem is we couldn’t wait for autumn to come. We already have the plans and we felt really excited to see it all come to life. We decided to get married early.” Samantha leaned for a bit. “May I ask why autumn?” She asked. Amanda smiled at her. “Because we fall in love during the fall, Sam.” She replied. ** Gregory handed her the corsage. She held it and turned her body back at the mirror and pinned it on the side of her dress. Samantha stared at herself. She was wearing an orange silk dress. She was one of the bridesmaid of Amanda, Cassidy’s cousin whom she met twice and built friendship through talking over random things on the video call with her friend. The fabrics were between the choices: chiffon, tulie, velvet and satin. Samantha ran her hand on the hem of the dress. The color was mixed and match between copper rust. It’s like a rust orange and somewhat terra cotta. As the couple were aiming for a rustic theme but with neutral color palette. Samantha’s eyes went towards her husband who was already gazing at her reflection in the mirror. His suit was in navy blue. And she can’t help but think of the compliments she has for him. He looks dapper, dashing, and regal. “You look like a prince you know.” She uttered while her eyes were meeting his through the mirror. Gregory leaned and gave her shoulder a kiss sending her into shudders. “And you are my princess, my angel.” He told her. She smiled happily before she turned to face him. Gregory’s eyes met hers and both stared at each other’s eyes, tenderly. Gregory then gave her face a gentle caress almost as if this is the type of thing he was waiting to do. “I love this. I love what we are, what we have, Sam.” His gaze straight to her eyes. “I love you.” He whispered when he leaned near her ears. Samantha’s hand went to his shoulders, touching him lightly. Before she wrapped her hands around his neck while Gregory’s hands snake to wrap around her waist. “I love you, Greg. And I want this to last.” She replied back to him.
