Chapter 49: Place

Samantha stared at the Range Rover that stopped in front of the lawn. Her eyes then went towards Gregory. She tilted her head at him. She stared at him with a question in her expression.
Gregory just smiled and laid his palm which she then held. “This is such a great vehicle to take country lanes without compromising an easy ride. This handles urban driving, baby.” He told her.
She croaked her head still staring at him.
Gregory chuckled. “Having the right car can make all the difference when tackling imperfections.”
She shook her head at him. “You possessed such strong knowledge when it comes to cars, my love. It’s like you’re an expert.” She uttered.
Gregory squeezed her hand gently. “My butler is here to drive us. Rest assured we will both be safe, love.” He replied.
She moved her head. “But you have an expertise in driving too, my love.”
Gregory leaned and moved his head closer too, mimicking her action. “You wanna see me drive again?” He asked.
A coughed made then to tear their eyes off each other and turned their head towards Mister Rubin who just made the sound. Gregory then urged a gesture which was then acknowledge by a nod towards him. He then opened the car door for them. Gregory then eyed Samantha and tugged her hand gently. She then nodded her head at him.
**
The ride was smooth indeed. Samantha was fondly staring all the way. Her eyes seemed to stare at the trees. She can’t help but to feel her gaze glued towards the tall trees who seemed to looked picturesque.
She then can’t help but also looked at Gregory almost as if she’s telling them how she loved staring at them as they passed through the road. Her husband as always responded towards her careful nudges with a smile plastered in his lips and with his light touches towards her hand.
They arrived at the place where the wedding is being celebrated. It was a three-lined driveway.
It was set beside the riverside grounds dotted with the lavenders on the side.
The view adds to the atmosphere of the country side and provides it with extra charm.
It was lovely sight.
Samantha’s eyes went to the opened car door and stare at her husband whose palm was already extended for her to hold.
She smiled and immediately placed her palm on top of his. He helped her get out of the car. Once settled, Samantha wandered. She let her eyes bask in the sight in front of her.
“I like this.” She stared at him. “I love how good their taste were.” She told him.
Gregory’s mouth moved and he flashed him his bare smile. “They sure have such great taste.” His gaze prolonged as if his head is running with thoughts when he stared at her.
Samantha stared at him. Her eyes were in question. “What are you thinking?
”
He just smiled at her. He then stared at his butler who is already near them. He leaned and then gave her a kiss on the cheek. Before he moved his head and stared at her.
He was happily staring at her. “I’ll tell you later.” He then widened his smile and flashed her a wink which then made Samantha blushed.
She just smiled at his behavior. He seemed so jovial now that he finally professed his I love you to her. She can still recall the incident as something like too fresh.
She loved his sudden confession. It was simple yet it was something that made her feel the all of the wonderful emotions she can ever have. It was lovely. And he is lovely too.
Now it was Gregory who was staring at her intently. “You seemed to be thinking too. I wonder what are you thinking, wife.” He told her.
She then playfully knack her nudging shoulders at him. “Why don’t you take a wild guess towards what I am thinking, love.” She told her before she then proceeded to take a step which then was halted by her husband’s touch.
“You have to be careful, wife.” He held her arms. He was alarmed by his sudden movements.
She then tilted, craned her head for a bit. “Why would I? You got me.” She told him which then immediately made his cheeks turn red. She then smiled because of it.
**
They walked to the pathway. Not from afar Samantha could see the church.
The church is ocursed by limestone rubble with ashlar dressing. It was embattled by parapets, crocketed pinnacles.
She was staring at it. Beside the church was a distinctive century bell coke of heavy timbers.
She wanted to take a photo. Samantha wanted to stop herself by being too awed by the place they were supposed to enter in a few minutes. She then looked up to him.
“Its like one of those towers that belonged to the 15th century, love.” She spoke.
Gregory nodded in agreement. “You’re right. The place looks majestic, love.” He replied before he then stared at her eyes.
“It’s just like you like too. This place looks enchanting.” He added.
“This place has an amazing cold weather too. I can say that sustainability and ecology are such important words for the town folks in here.” She replied at him.
He then smiled at her words before his fingers brushed the top of her hair.
“My brilliant wife, you are such a lovely being.” He suddenly complimented.
She then pursed her lips, biting the lower edge. “And you’re spoiling me with these compliments of yours. You are such a sweet talker, my love.” She replied, and she couldn’t hold the smile that is showing in her face.
They clasp their hands together before they walked towards the church.
**
They were welcomed by Cassidy and Chase’s presence. Her friend was looking at her with such gleam in her that she then walked fast towards her. She was shaking her head before she then started to clap her hands.
“You are such a goddess, my dear.” She then smiled widely. “Right?” She threw the word towards Gregory.
Gregory nodded his head at her before he adjusted his tie in a playful manner.
His eyes went back towards Samantha, looking at her proudly. “She is.”
“Awe.” Cassidy exclaimed staring at her with her pouted lips before she snapped at Chase. “And you’re telling me like I am like a whale?”
Chase looked at her defensively. He was moving his hands in a dismissive manner. “I didn’t. You were the one who talked about it, babe.”
But then Cassidy started with her ranting while Chase was shushing him, trying to calm her nerves.
The remaining couple only stared at the two of them who’s starting to bicker before their eyes went towards the woman.
“The ceremony will start in a few minutes. We need the guests to be inside now.” She talked. It was soft and formal.
Samantha stared at her. She looked too business-like but her features were soft.
She smiled at her. While the other female was quite astonished at her sudden expression.
She then smiled at her. “This way please.” She then spoke.
