Chapter 18: Trade

People are constantly speculating about the practicality of the birth pot, but the Fire tribe is the opposite. The warriors keep eating and drinking greedily, ignoring the hunger and thirst of the tribal members.
While waiting for the Osan people to finish eating, Orc hugged the large pot back, as if it were a treasure.
Osan shouted back, "This leader belongs to us! Why are you taking it back?" Osan was shameless.
"I'll give you porridge! Not the pot! If you want the pot, bring something to trade!" Minh Vu said coldly.
"I want the pot! I want a bag of meat and a pot! Do you swear to that?" Osan said shamelessly.
"Damn it! Shameless brat!" Minh Vu cursed inwardly, but he smiled.
"Our tribe cares for people very much! A large earthen pot like this can cook enough for 10 people to eat at once, and everyone knows its benefits. To exchange this pot, we need an adult, along with two children exchanging for a large pot. One child exchanges for a small pot. Three large animal skins exchange for one bowl and two spoons."
Minh Vu quoted a sky-high price that frightened the others, but MaBu was the first to suggest a deal with Minh Vu.
"This price is too high! Moreover, we have no intention of exchanging people, but we want a large ceramic pot!" This negotiation is cute, using the price of an adult for 10 bags of meat to exchange for one adult, and 5 bags of meat to exchange for one child.
Currently, our tribe only needs animal skins and people, and we can also trade Op seeds with the Dry tribe. The prices are the same as dried meat."
Minh Vu gave Akk a way out, he was plotting with Op, considering it as an ancient version of potatoes.
Hearing that, everyone relaxed a bit, preparing to negotiate, then the Stone tribe arrived, led by two people, one old and one young, the young one is about 35 or 40 years old, with a sturdy figure, covered with a thick wolf fur, and a majestic wolf head hat on his head.
The old one is an old man about 60 years old, his whole body covered in thick fur, and a large dragon head stick in his hand. This is Siba, the leader of the Stone tribe, and Vu, their spokesman.
Seeing Siba coming, everyone backed away to make way for him, and behind him were more than 20 warriors armed with bone knives and stone spears.
Kkav also followed, constantly pointing to Minh Vu and the ceramic pot that Orc was holding in his arms.
"Are you the leader of the Great Stone Tribe?" Siba asked arrogantly.
"Yes!" Minh Vu said.
"I want this! All of you must give it to us! Why are you taking it back?" Siba's tone was authoritative.
Hearing this, the other tribes were agitated, as they all knew that the Stone tribe was the most powerful, and Siba was naturally domineering. If they didn't listen to him, death was beyond doubt.
Minh Vu frowned for a while before saying, "Our tribe brought 30 large pots this time, along with many food items."
"I can't exchange all the pots for the Stone Tribe! I can exchange at most 15 pots for the Stone Tribe. The other tribes can exchange 3 pots each!" Minh Vu had no intention of giving in.
Vu of the Stone Tribe and his goat-bearded companion, Ohot, looked miserable. "That's fine! Our Stone Tribe doesn't want to harm other tribes, but the price needs to be negotiated. One adult and two children for one large pot is too high!"
Hearing this, everyone agreed. The price was too high.
"Orc, bring the pot here!" Minh Vu said solemnly.
Hearing Minh Vu's tone, Orc knew this man was about to lose his temper.
Orc obediently handed the ceramic pot to Minh Vu. Without saying a second word, he waved his hand forcefully, and the ceramic pot fell to the ground with a loud bang, immediately shattering into small pieces.
"The price is set! I'd rather not trade! I won't sell it cheaply. To get these items, our tribe has to put in a lot of effort. We barely harvested anything this year, relying solely on these ceramic items to trade for supplies through the winter." Minh Vu's tone was bitter.
Instantly, seeing the valuable pot shattered into pieces, everyone here felt as if their hearts were being cut, as if that pot was their inheritance.
Siba's face turned black again, ready to explode, but Ohot stopped him and spoke up.
"If the Great Stone Tribe is so tough, it's fine, but we must prioritize our Stone Tribe!"
"The ceramic pot has many uses. If used to cook porridge, three large pots can feed 300 people!" Minh Vu explained.
Everyone had no objections, but inside, there were many ideas to take advantage of the winter to seize the Great Stone Tribe.
"Our entire Fire Tribe wants it!" Minh Vu said a sentence that shook everyone here.
The Great Stone Tribe brought 34 people to exchange, including 10 adults and 24 children. If all were exchanged, 10 large pots would be needed. If the Fire Tribe took all 10 large pots, how would the other tribes survive?
Simba spoke up, "So here are the large pots for us!"
"You can exchange with the Fire Tribe!" Minh Vu said indifferently.
Osan, who was directly involved in this transaction, stood there dumbfounded, his eyes full of regret as he looked at the broken porridge on the ground.
Iru quickly stepped forward to talk. He was an old man in this field.
"The number of people we brought to exchange for food and animal skins, if we use large pots to exchange, what will we eat through the winter?"
"You can exchange food with other tribes using the pots!" Minh Vu said somewhat annoyed at having to repeat himself.
"Oh! Everyone exclaimed.
In a moment, Iru, the cunning one, had a crazy idea pop into his head, but this crazy idea later became a highly profitable commercial venture for future generations.
"Ha ha ha! That's fine! We don't have any food for them to eat tonight! They've been hungry for 3 days!" Iru complained.
"So the price is set! One adult and two children for one large pot! We have 10 adults and 24 children, so we'll exchange for 10 large pots, plus 4 bowls and 2 spoons!"
"We'll keep 3 large pots, and the rest we'll exchange for food and animal skins!" Iru said firmly.
Thus, the first exchange of the Great Stone Tribe took place. Although there was some coercion between the parties, he still achieved his goal.
Under the watchful eyes of both tribes, the exchange was very smooth. Osan and Iru were also excited, and their people were also very happy, as they had avoided a cruel fate.
When they returned to the camp, it was two hours later. The Klu people were also tired, their bodies exhausted. The newcomers were quite tired, their bodies tired and sore. The newly recruited tribespeople were greeted with joy as they were served two bowls of fragrant porridge, with plenty of meat inside, the taste much better than the porridge before.
Although the snow was thick outside, the tent was lined with dry grass. However, in the late night, the cold penetrated to the bone and did not diminish. The Minh Vu tribe was better off, as they all wore animal fur clothes, and they also had a pair of warm shoes to reduce the cold somewhat.
However, the 34 new tribal members had very simple clothes, with no tools to avoid the cold, and they could only huddle together by the fire without ceasing to shiver.
In Minh Vu's heart, he felt very sorry, so he didn't sleep tonight, constantly boiling water for everyone to drink to maintain body temperature, as well as keeping the fire going so it wouldn't go out.
By morning, the snow had thickened, and the tribes had begun their exchange work, but the Great Stone Tribe was in no hurry. After finishing eating, Minh Vu ordered 10 women from the new recruits and 4 from the tribe to go out and collect straw, while 3 women stayed in the tent to cut animal skins and make clothes and shoes for the others.
Minh Vu and Klu were preparing for the item exchange. After yesterday's exchange with the Fire Tribe, they still had 20 large pots, small pots, bowls, and spoons, totaling 80 items.
The number of large pots must be half for the Stone Tribe. Indeed, apart from animal skins, they paid no attention to other items, but the strength of the Stone Tribe was too strong for him to offend at the moment, so he had to try his best to negotiate for more animal skins.
As for the Dry Tribe, his focus was on Op roots, which he considered to be potatoes. In addition, the Red Chicken Tribe was also of great concern to him, not because of their food, but because of the feathers they brought for exchange.
These chicken feathers were almost useless except for lining beds, but to Minh Vu, they were the key ingredient for creating a series of futuristic weapons far beyond the primitive era.
