Chapter 6 Fan Club
Mathematics is a boring lesson in Vladd's class. Mrs. Jati - whose body structure resembles a skateboard - teaches drowsily, without enthusiasm. No matter how difficult mathematics is, in Vladd's class this is a lesson that doesn't count.
Just look, Su Yin and Bianca are having fun with their tamagotchi. Muhardito and Adrian Manurung, in fact, were chatting excitedly together. James was busy sending e-mails to Marigold,
which, thank God, still annoys James.
Perry threw his hands up and down under the table, doing weight training using a tiny barbell that weighed fifteen kilos. Vladd kept yawning. Only Yudiantara
who looked serious about listening to Mrs. Jati's explanation.
Today Vladd couldn't stand it anymore. He was actually asleep. Vladd accidentally touched the remote control. Pressed the fresh button, which was aimed at Mrs. Jati. Suddenly Mrs. Jati smiled brightly and cheerfully. Move swiftly and speak loudly.
"Su Yin, James, Perry, you guys do questions number 12, 13, 14 Hup-hup-hup. Move quickly."
Su Yin was shocked, hurriedly came forward carrying her Tamagotchi dino. "Try saving the electronic animal first," said Mrs. Jati. "He's sick, ma'am, I'm afraid it's too late to give him medicine." Mrs. Jati smiled wisely. "Hand it over, Mom, let me take care of it."
Hesitantly, Su Yin handed over her Tamagotchi dino to Mrs. Jati. As soon as she received the electronic animal, Mrs. Jati threw it out the window nonchalantly. Su Yin frowned, but didn't dare to protest. Later he can stop by the mall. Buy another tamagotchi. If you need ten at a time. Let it be as busy as a zoo.
"Well, now he's dead," said Mrs. Jati lightly. "You don't need to be afraid anymore. James, Perry, come on, hurry up."
James stepped forward with a sullen face. Perry took off his burdened "toy" lazily. It didn't take long for Su Yin, whose brain was quite weak, to finish
because it's good. Meanwhile, James and Perry were still busy fiddling with numbers, but they weren't finished either.
Come on, James, don't just date. You too, Perry, put your brain to work. Don't just train your muscles and spirit."
While the others were busy working on questions at their desks, Vladd was sleeping peacefully.
"Vladdvanio"
Vladd gasped in surprise.
Mrs. Jati put her hands on her hips fiercely. "This is not a hotel. Come on, help James and Perry."
In less than three minutes, Vladd finished James and Perry's questions. Mrs. Jati became even more enthusiastic, challenging Vladd.
"Good, Vladd, now numbers 21 to 40 huh?" Mrs. Jati looked at the wall clock. Exactly eleven o'clock. "Five minutes, huh? Must be done. If more, James and Perry will still stand at the front."
The class is stunned. James and Perry glanced at Mrs. Jati, annoyed. What's wrong with this math teacher? It looks like he was still teaching while nodding off. You know, now you have extra energy.
At his table, Yudiantara, who liked to be jealous of Vladd's brain, was smiling. There's no way Vladd can do twenty questions in five minutes. Is it Superman? Everyone's eyes stared at the white board tensely. Vladd secretly pressed the pause button on his remote, aimed at the entire class. And the whole class immediately fell silent. Mrs. Jati, Vladd's friends, all suddenly became silent like statues. The clock stopped ticking. Vladd smiled, then worked on the questions one by one calmly. After finishing the questions, Vladd pressed the remote again. Play. Time goes back.
All the children were stunned to see that Vladd had finished working on all the questions. Mrs. Jati pinched her own arm. Can't believe it when I see the clock just moving
to 11.01. Too enthusiastic about pinching, Mrs. Jati grinned in pain to herself. It turns out he wasn't dreaming. Vladd had really solved all twenty math problems well.
"Vladd, next month you're taking part in a mathematics competition in Germany, right? Today I'm also submitting your name to the principal," said Mrs. Jati enthusiastically.
Yudiantara, who had long been broadcast to leave, immediately protested, "How come he, ma'am
 I'm the candidate"
Mrs. Jati shook her head firmly. "You're Yud's backup. If you need to, don't come along at all. Rather than be embarrassing."
Yudiantara pouted. Mrs. Jati finished her diktat and walked out of the classroom. While saying, "Dismiss"
Vladd ignored him, returning to his desk. James and Perry sat down too. Perry whispered to Vladd, "Ehh, Vladd, if someone is bothering you, just report it Perry."
Vladd grinned in amusement. Feelings that like to harass Vladd, yes Perry too. Now he pretends to offer help. I want to be a hero, just because I was saved
Vladd was stunned in front of the class.
James is annoyed with Perry who is trying to fix Vladd. James pulled Perry into the corner of the classroom, threatening, "Per, are you going to get to know Marsella or not? There's no need to look for faces in front of Vladd. It's his job to do the questions. There's no need to feel indebted to him."
Perry realized. To prove that he was still interested in Marsella, when he crossed Vladd's table he pushed Vladd's head. But Vladd nimbly pressed the skip button on his remote until Perry's hand turned, pushing James' head. Perry was shocked. James got angry, pushing Perry's head back. James-Perry had a fight. The girls screamed. The boys are busy cheering. Vladd snorted, annoyed. It turns out that schools with tuition fees of thousands of dollars are no different from suburban schools. Regarding fighting, it's the same.
Vladd quietly left the classroom. Marigold chased after Vladd, curious. "Vladd, wait, please"
Vladd stopped, waiting for Marigold. Surprisingly, this girl was the cause of James' anger at Vladd. Why does he keep sticking around? Bored with James? Okay, okay
Just. But look for something else. There are still Perry, Muhardito, Yudiantara, Adrian Manurung, and other boys from other classes. Why does it have to be Vladd?
"Vladd, you're great. It's not just your brain that's weak. But you're also clever at fending off Perry's attacks. Let's see, Vladd. You turned Perry's hand to his head.
James. What knowledge do you use, Vladd? Teach Mar, please?" Marigold's chatter made Vladd panic.
"Hushhush" Vladd tried to calm Marigold. "I didn't ask you for anything. Don't make a fuss, Mar."
Marigold looked at Vladd, suspicious.
"If you don't have knowledge, why do you look panicked?"
Vladd shook his head quickly. Then turn to the canteen. Marigold tried to follow Vladd's steps. From a distance, Nanda-Nandi shouted for Vladd. Vladd groaned, annoyed. The twins again Isn't that enough panic created by Marigold?
Nanda-Nandi join in eating dim sum with Marigold and Vladd.
"You guys are gathered here, so who is taking part in the chemistry practicum?" Vladd asked, surprised.
Vladd's question had not been answered, the duo Muhardito and Adrian Manurung also gathered in the canteen.
"Vladd, we can invite you to study together. Do you want to?" Muhardito asked hopefully. Adrian Manurung nodded.
Suddenly Nanda-Nandi tugged at Vladd's hand. "Don't. You're just with us, Vladd," persuaded Nanda.
"Yes, just the same as us," said Nandi.
Marigold immediately became annoyed, "Sorry, OK? I already booked Vladd first."
Vladd grinned in confusion. "Booking? Booking what, Mar? When?"
Everyone said Marigold was lying. But Marigold was persistent. He said he was the first to lead Vladd to the cafeteria. He was the first to ask Vladd to teach him.
Once again Vladd pouted. He didn't know why his friends insisted on studying together. Vladd didn't realize it, everyone thought he was a genius. Obviously, twenty math problems were solved in less than one minute. Isn't it sacred?
The siren sounds for break time. Businessmen's children from various classes invaded the canteen which was arranged like a food court. Vladd, who doesn't like crowds, spontaneously paid for his food and then went to the library. Marigold and the others followed Vladd into the library.
At the library, Vladd chose a Walt Disney CD-ROM and engrossed himself. Marigold, the twins Nanda-Nandi, Muhardito, and Adrian Manurung, gathered around Vladd. Come watch. Vladd became uncomfortable.
"Oh, what are you doing gathering here? Just choose your own CD-ROM. There's still plenty of them," said Vladd, feeling annoyed.
But his new admirers didn't budge an inch. Vladd got annoyed, then turned off his computer.
"What do you guys want?"
Everyone scrambled to answer. The librarian came and reprimanded them.
"If you want to make a fuss, don't come here. Just go to the canteen. Or on the football field," he said sternly.
Everyone—including Vladd—was thrown out of the library. Vladd was annoyed, he pressed the button
temporary blind. The librarian screamed holding her eyes which suddenly couldn't see. For a while he couldn't be fierce. Vladd entered the library again. His admirers - increasingly amazed - followed suit
from behind.
And until computer class, Vladd's admirers sat gathered around Vladd. Yudiantara, James, and Perry Lontoh stared at him full of revenge.
Mr. Bangke was so engrossed in his computer terms that he didn't pay attention to the contents of the class. Su Yin played with her new Dino Tamagotchi (bought at the mall during break time). Bianca was admiring her hundredth new shoe (she bought it with Su Yin's Tamagotchi).
Suddenly Mr. Bangke's voice boomed. Surprise everyone.
"Bianca, get your shoes off the table," he snapped. Bianca slowly lowered her new shoes, which she had been staring at, to the floor.
"Try explaining again, the terms I explained earlier," said Mr. Bangke sternly.
"Well, how do you remember, sir? I don't think the terms are important. What's important is that I can use a computer. I can run a word processor, I can play games, I can play on the internet. That's enough," said Bianca nonchalantly.
"You're insolent, aren't you?" Mr. Bangke glared sadistically. "What do you think of me? A statue? A broken record? Come here you are."
Bianca went forward in a resigned and indifferent manner.
"What are you doing, sir?" Bianca asked innocently.
"You're challenging, aren't you?" Mr. Bangke grabbed the computer keyboard, ready to hit Bianca. Everyone panicked seeing Mr. Bangke go crazy like that.
Suddenly Vladd heard a scream,
"BIANCA"
Bianca turned to Vladd who was directing the remote control, pressing the skip button. The computer keyboard was only a few inches away from landing on Bianca's head.
suddenly veered in another direction. Mr. Bangke looked around, surprised.
"Bianca? What knowledge do you use?" he said while looking left and right. Everyone looked at Mr. Bangke, surprised. Bianca was stunned too. Finally she smiled sweetly at Vladd. I don't know how, but Bianca is sure that Vladd just helped her.
When she returned to the bench, Bianca whispered to Vladd, "Thanks, Vladd, I owe you neu' shoes. What do you want? Pierre Cardin? Bally? Or..."
Vladd shook his head quickly. "Thanks, Bianca. I don't think I need new shoes yet."
Bianca rubbed her left and right cheeks. Vladd immediately blushed. Despite living among the high class, Vladd doesn't really like sun-sunan culture. According to Vladd, too Western. But unfortunately, Vladd's classmates - especially his girls - really like to blow their cheeks. Birthdays, long time no see, thank you, all expressed in a warm way. Vladd is always uncomfortable.
"Are you sure, Vladd, you don't want Pierre Cardin? This weekend Bianca is going shopping for shoes..."
"If you insist, I'll just ask for it raw," said Vladd, startling him.
Bianca wasn't the only one who was shocked. The whole class was also shocked. Vladdvanio, whose son is a rich businessman, asks Bianca to "hold back".
"I'll buy sandals. The village kids near the house like to fly kites. One Bally is enough to buy a hundred flip-flops, right?"
Bianca was stunned but nodded anyway. Vladd's admirer has added one more person.
And look now Vladd is surrounded by admirers. As a result, Yudiantara, James Raharja, and Perry Lontoh became increasingly jealous. In fact, in their hearts they also admired Vladd. But what comes to the surface is the irritability.
Only Su Yin is now neutral. Don't you hate it, don't you hate Vladd? Su Yin bothers herself taking care of her spoiled electronic animal: Dino Tamagotchi.
Mr. Bangke, who had lost his prey, suddenly stood in front of Su Yin and violently grabbed the child's tamagotchi. Su Yin sighed, just bought a new one and it was confiscated again. Mr. Bangke prepared to throw Su Yin's tamagotchi outside. As soon as the tamagotchi was ejected, Vladd shouted,
"Mr Ekooo"
Vladd pressed the new button on his remote, Boomerang. Suddenly the tamagotchi that had been ejected turned towards Mr. Bangke and entered his wide open mouth.
Mr. Bangke glared in panic. The whole class giggled.
Su Yin turned to Vladd, her fingers gesturing to Vladd with an OK sign.
Vladd smiled amusedly.
"Sir, just say that you want to eat dinosaur eggs," Su Yin teased mischievously. Yes, because the electronic beast that Su Yin just bought is still
live in the egg phase.
"No wonder they quickly became extinct," added Marigold while giggling.
Since that day Vladd's class has been divided into two camps. One, Vladd and his fans. Another line of envious guys: Yudiantara, James, and Perry Lontoh.
Because they felt the same fate, they were both annoyed with Vladd, the envious boys' camp became united with each other. In fact, Yudiantara also got along well with James and Perry. The problem is that these two guys have barely enough brains so they often use Yudiantara's brain for their personal gain. For cheating, doing school assignments, etc. Meanwhile, Yudiantara himself didn't get anything other than friends who had the same heart as hating Vladd.
On the other hand, Vladd's camp, which was more numerous, actually benefited each other. Those whose brains are tight can get knowledge from Vladd and Su Yin. On the contrary
Vladd and Su Yin become smarter because they teach other children. Their knowledge becomes useful, and continues to grow.
Mami Smirnov and Papi Eraisuli are very happy to see Vladd becoming more diligent and having lots of friends. But the one who likes this change the most: Maryati. The housekeeper of Vladd's house was so happy that he bothered taking care of every time Vladd's friends studied at home. Her activities increased even more when she proclaimed herself to be Vladd's secretary. Maryati is busy arranging her study schedule. Make an appointment with an expert. The learning style of Vladd and his friends is cool. If it's medium
studying genetics, for example. Genetic science experts are invited to attend. If you study astronomy, experts in astronomy are invited. Learn by way of question and answer, discussion. Anyway, it's exciting and not boring at all.
This afternoon Vladd was unpacking his bookcase. Suddenly a. a tiny white object flew out, falling to the floor. Nino 2 Vladd was stunned for a moment. Slowly he lifted Nino 2 and carried him to bed. The rat robot looks really cute. Vladd can't remember the last time he played with Nino 2.
Vladd glanced around the room. Suddenly he felt lost. Vladd suddenly missed playing alone in his sophisticated room. Since his friends always studied together, Vladd lost the happy times in his own room. He missed fiddling with his remote control. Missed taking apart the computer. Miss the letters via e-mail with Bill Gates. Miss all that.
There was a beep from Vladd's subnotebook, indicating that a new e-mail had arrived. Vladd hurriedly opened it. Oh my gosh, long live Bill Gates. Just thinking about it, I immediately sent an e-mail.
After reading the e-mail from Bill Gates, Vladd was lost in thought while smiling. In the past, Vladd didn't have as many close friends as he does now. But there are hundreds of e-mail friends, spread all over the world. One of them is Bill Gates, the king of Microsoft.
The door alarm goes off. Vladd looked at the monitor screen. Maryati was waiting in a busy and hasty manner.
"Mr. Vladd, Mr. Edi Brotoisworo, a primatology expert, can't attend tonight. He has a conference on Great Apes in America. What if you replace him..."
"No need, Mar. No need to change. You contact my friends and tell me there's no group study event tonight. I'm tired, Mar, I'm going to rest."
"But, Mas Vladd, I already..."
"I said no, no, no. Don't insist, Mar. If you insist, you can study with them," explained Vladd firmly.
Maryati actually still wanted to answer. It would just be scary if he had to ask questions about Vladd's friends. Maryati doesn't know anything other than taking care of the Vladd family's household. With a frown, Maryati walked away.
Vladd smiled with satisfaction, then started replying to Bill Gates' e-mail.
