Floating Thoughts

Mira was dreaming.
It had been awhile since she had that pleasure.
Those nightmares had been clogging her brain and soul but she was feeling strangely free and elevated.
She was floating. But there were knots tying her down. She could feel those knots at her pit. They did not hurt but sure they were uncomfortable. She saw herself sleeping in her dream but she was floating as she slept.
The wind took her over the clouds and from there the earth sparkled below.
It was blue and green.
Gradually she saw its colors changing.
There were myriad mists that started hovering over it like fog.
Mists of all colors and shapes, as if they were part of a rainbow.
Mira kept sleeping as the landscape below her transformed.
It was no longer earth but the terrains of her home planet, Chemora.
Mira reached out to cover her eyes, because the sun shone too bright and it seemed like it had come closer.
She tried to lift her head and see where she was but a pair of gentle hands thrust her down.
" Don't move, little princess. Not yet. Our time has not come. "
" Rest. Sleep well! " Another tender voice whispered.
" We will be right here, guarding you so you don't need to worry. "
A third voice sang itself in her ear like a lullaby.
Mira stirred as their bodies pressed over her from all sides. The confinement created suffocation. But the warmth that radiated from them, made her wish that she was breathless forever.
They ran their hands all over her body, stroking her hair, her neck and back as if trying to put her back to sleep. She felt comfortable in their embrace and soon started to doze off in her dream, once again.
But then they stood up to leave. Mira immediately held each of their hands. She didn't want them to leave. She was feeling lonely just thinking about them not being around.
She couldn't say anything but they turned back as if understanding what she meant.
Mira tried to force her eyes open but they sang together in her ears in a unison,
" Shhh! It's not time yet. Sleep Mira. Sleep it off! ”
And Mira felt her body losing its wait and going against gravity.
The knots around her stomach were loosening and she found that she could relax more and more.
Her hands reached the spot where the knots were.
" Mira, do you feel uncomfortable? "
She could not answer but she was glad how her name flowed from his mouth, almost like an ancient hymn.
" Let me take a look at that. "
Mira could feel her skin dancing as the other one touched her stomach with his fingers.
" You will be fine Mira! It's just our stars aligning themselves. But you shine the brightest amongst us all and always will. "
The third one bent low as his breath made Mira arch back while he kissed her behind her ear.
Mira gulped.
In her dream the light was starting to fade and darkness was trying to seep in.
She grabbed onto them and pulled them close, out of fear.
She could feel the rhythm of their collective heartbeat and it made her want to open her eyes and have a look at them.
It felt like she knew them.
It felt like she knew them forever. But she could not remember their faces and it felt like torture.
" What is a baby girl? Are you feeling scared?"
" Is it the Darkness that is scaring you? Don't worry, the darkness cannot reach you as long as we are there. "
" Mira, our fates have been sealed. We are going nowhere. "
She slowly loosened her grip around them but they stayed like that as if reading her mind.
Their fingers traveled all over her body, making it feel a sensuous arousal that she never thought she had suppressed inside her.
She loved how her erratic breaths were having an effect on the ones around her.
Their heartbeats quickened and they kept calling her name. As if it was a sacred charm as if they were immersed in a ritual.
Their touch lingered around her body as they kept drifting apart.
This time around Mira didn't even try to stop them.
It didn't matter where they went, it didn't matter anymore.
She knew she would always know how their bodies react to each other. She knew she would find them, no matter the universe.
She had their scent memories. It was etched inside her soul, heart and brain.
The light went out and darkness cloaked her once more. But this time she did not feel bitter. She did not feel anything.
She was still inside her little bubble, sleeping with calm and peace planted inside her breast.
***
" She seems stable.
All vitals are normal and sedated.
Body functions are absolutely fantastic.
I think we are good to go. "
" Have the Stars reached their pinnacle? " The Dark Lord asked, ignoring the enthusiastic chirp of his aid.
" Yes my Lord. They are perfectly aligned. "
He was informed but all that he received was a vicious snarl.
" Is the alignment a joke? Watch carefully. There are a few more minutes left. Did all the four stars form a line? Do you know what might happen if even a single one is missed? "
" Yes my Lord! I beg your pardon! I was too carried away. I will do it right this time. "
The minion straightened up, trying to focus again on the beam.
But the claws of the Dark Lord knew no mercy.
" You fool! There is no second chance for you! Kingdom of Darkness, knows no mistake." He plugged his nails in his neck and pulled out flesh.
" Next! Take the position of the fallen! " Immediately another person took his spot as his body scattered in the nothingness.
" The girl should not be disturbed until it's the perfect time. "
His words thundered into space.
