A New Beginning

George looked around for his sister.
She was walking back towards the spaceship carrying the battered body of Robert, just like himself.
" I need to make sure he is breathing. " Rozelle looked lost.
A pair of hands snatched Mira from his hands.
" Give her back, human! " It was Brian.
" This is really amusing. What are your earthlings doing here with these fish tanks on your head? It keeps getting amusing... Shit! She isn't breathing. Is she dead?"
Brian exclamation made everyone's head turn.
" No! That's not possible! "
Braze leaped beside him and pulled her out of his grip.
He pressed his head against her chest.
It was still.
His face turned white.
He began to pump her chest with both his hands , desperation making his heart jump out of his mouth.
" No... Mira... No! This isn't happening! "
Kian no longer had any more strength left to fight.
He fainted on the spot.
" Quick! Grab the prince and take him back to the tribe. How the job here is done. "
The Marines lifted him up and wrapped their affair on the ground. Before anybody could understand, they were gone.
Xen scurried his way towards Mira.
One of his men grabbed his hand.
" You wouldn't want to do this. It is not the right time for you to go near her. Your strength needs to be replenished. "
Xen tried to object but the Xoron bent low and whispered in his ear.
" Since you regained your memory, you must also remember that when at our weakest, we tend to draw even from the ones most beloved to us.
She might have a chance of revival but if you go near her in this state, nobody knows what might happen.
I do not want you to live in regret. You are the future of our tribe. "
The realization shook Xen to the core.He did not have the mindset to crosscheck anymore.
He stood up with all the strength that he had. He looked at Mira as her head jumped up and down as Braze desperately worked on her with tears.
Xen turned the other way around and ran for his dear life.
The rest of the Xorons followed suit and immediately retreated, leaving the battleground almost empty.
Right at that moment a bluish mist filled the air.
" Azura is here! " Brian observed.
Braze could care less about what was happening.
" Mira, wake up! This cannot be the end. Mira quit playing I said. Wake up! Mira! "
He was yelling at her through heavy tears.
" Let her go! "
Kilians hand grabbed Braze's hand.
"No! I won't. I will never! "
Braze was shaking from head to toe. " Bring her back," I say. I did everything for her. She just cannot leave like this. No! "
Kilian turned his attention towards Brian and Azura.
They understood what he wanted to convey.
Brian grabbed Braze by one shoulder, while Azura held his other hand.
" Let me go! I am not leaving Mira behind! Let go of me!"
But Braze was already beyond exhausted.
His vision started blurring as he kept fighting, while his brother took him back to where had come from.
That was the last time they saw Mira. The Mira that they had known all along.
***
A few years had passed.
The Watchers society was dissolved. The defense of the earth realm was run by humanoids and AI.
However, there was the greatest number of alien influx during this reign, but nobody knew.
Rozelle and George, ran a pawn shop that dealt in alien ware and information.
Robert was completely paralyzed neck down but he did survive.
Quill was always by his side.
They ran a tea stall near Rozelle and George's pawn shop.
Kilian had successfully established his dominion.
Entire Chemora shook with fear when the name of the Kakara tribe was mentioned.
Nobody would have thought the prophecy would take effect in such a manner.
An irrelevant tribe had risen from the ashes like the Phoenix but now they were terrorizing the rest of them.
Xen had no connection with the rest of the world.
He trained non-stop everyday.
He ate little, slept little, talked little. One would assume he was deaf and mute.
Braze had taken over some responsibilities of the state. His brother showed him around and explained everything. But he was absent minded most of the time and his magic was also weak.
The Marines tried to persuade Kian to try and usher the Staff.
" It died with my heart. I do not have the strength for that. I wish I died along with her. You call yourself my mother. Do you not see through my pain? "
Kian asked.
His mother only scoffed.
" Your father died before you were born. Did I spend my life in mourning? What was so special about that daughter of the damned? "
Kian found no solace and extremely missed his grandfather.
Layla was still looking for her Dark Lord, aka Calex.
He was alive but he had disappeared without a trace.
Kiara's grave was just outside the land of the Kakara tribe. Sitara had insisted that she was left close but not inside when she finally married Kilian.
In a cave far away a man was hard at work.
He had messy hair, a long beard and his fingernails were unkempt.
But his muscles were strong.
His eyes were determined.
He was working on something.
His strokes were tender and precise.
Layla's keep took her to many places. But she finally stopped when she heard some noise.
She just went to check out of curiosity not with any hope or intention of finding what she was looking so desperately, right in front of her eyes.
" Dark Lord! "
Layla gasped as her hands went over her mouth.
Calex stood up.
That distinct frown on his head.
" Layla? Why are you here? I have nothing to offer you. Go away! "
His temperaments were exactly the same.
Layla laughed hysterically for a while before jumping on him and hugging him so tight that even Calex was taken by surprise.
