Chapter 50
Reborn
Two years have passed, and Kill's friends are now in their final year of study at the Zentobia Academy.
Meanwhile, a man covered in wounds is trying to reach the Celestria Region. After a while, the wounded man finally arrives at the central town in the Celestria Region, where people stare and gossip about him.
"What do you think? Is he from around here?" asked a woman as she whispered to her companion.
"I don't know, he doesn't look like he's from here. Come on, let's go, we might get hurt," said another woman, avoiding eye contact with the injured man.
Suddenly, Aika notices him as she walks towards the Academy. She looks around and realizes that no one is helping the injured man.
"He's not from here. Could he possibly have been sent from other regions to spy on us?" Aika wonders as she locks eyes with the man, who also looks back at her.
They exchange stares, and Aika approaches him.
"Tell me, are you a spy?" Aika asks, her aura gradually becoming visible.
"I-I need h-help..." The man couldn't finish his sentence and loses consciousness.
Aika immediately helps him and takes him to the nearby hospital.
"What's his condition?" Aika stands up from her seat and asks the doctor.
"He's exhausted, but his condition has stabilized," the doctor replies, writing down the necessary medication for the patient.
"Okay, don't report this to the higher-ups yet. I'll take care of him," Aika approaches the doctor and places her hand near his ear, whispering.
"Yes, ma'am, it will be done," the doctor replied hesitantly.
After their conversation, Aika entered the school. Aika had become popular in their academy because even though she didn't come from an affluent family in Celestria, she still managed to keep up with them.
As Aika walked down the hallway, other students talked about her, mesmerized by her beauty, especially the boys.
"Wait, isn't she the Arrow of the West? One of the Big Four Arrows in this academy?" whispered a boy as he gazed at Aika's beautiful face.
"Yes, that's her, Aika Mistwalker," another boy said, his face turning red, and almost all the boys there were enchanted by Aika's beauty.
"I wish you'd marry me, Aika..." a boy held her hand as if praying to a goddess.
"That's not going to happen. She's the Commander of the Blaze Elite. And I heard she has a crush on someone who's already dead and promised to love only him forever, even in death. And besides, every guy who confesses to her gets rejected," she slapped the boy who worshipped Aika to stop his fantasies.
Meanwhile, Raya was still lounging on the rooftop, feeling too lazy to study.
"Ugh... This is so boring. Everything I do or everywhere I go seems pointless. I might as well just sleep," he put his hands on his mouth and lay down on the rooftop.
Lilith had also become popular among girls and is now the Vice President of the student council. He could have been the president, but he refused because he wants to focus on her training.
"Isn't that Lilith?" a girl whispered excitedly.
"Yes, that's him... Lilith, come here, impregnate me," a girl shouted, waving at Lilith.
Lilith stopped in his tracks upon hearing that, as he hears it almost every day.
"Hey, what are you shouting there? You're women, aren't you ashamed? There are plenty of boys who can hear you," the teacher looked at them, clearly angry.
"Sorry, sir HAHAHA," a student grabbed the teacher's chin and they acted as if they were in a show, winking at the teacher before running away.
"Those kids," he said to himself, blushing.
As for Hana Aoyama, she remained just a normal student in that academy because she didn't show off her abilities much, but it couldn't be denied that she came from the Seven Deadly Clan, so she remained popular.
As for Alexander Hayes, he beats up anyone who becomes brave in the Zentobia Academy.
"What? Is that all you got? I thought you were going to get revenge," Alexander said to the 3rd year student studying there.
"I-I can still fight. I can still take you down," the 3rd year student was exhausted, barely able to move his body properly.
"I-I can still fight, I can still take you down," the 3rd year said, exhausted and barely able to move properly.
"Do you know what? You're wasting my time, you're brave but you're worthless," Alexander grabbed his neck, giving the 3rd year a menacing look.
The 3rd year just ran away, scared of Alexander's glare.
"It seems like you never change, Alexander." Suddenly, Lorelei appeared behind the wall.
"And what are you doing here, Lorelei?"
"Nothing, I just wanted to see if you're getting bored or if you want to leave this academy, Alexander."
"Yes, you're right, Lorelei, it's boring. Hana doesn't want to fight me anymore because she doesn't want her name known, Kill is gone, Raya is lazy, Aika seems like she hasn't moved on from Kill yet, Conrad, Emma, Emily, Vaisyas, Gabby, Andy are all busy with their training, and King hasn't been released yet because of what he did two years ago. It's so boring."
"You're right, it seems like the old days are gone," Lorelei smiled and left. Alexander did the same.
Conrad and Emily entered the academy together, holding hands and being looked at by other students.
"Wow, stay strong, you two," a girl said, looking at Conrad and Emily.
"Yeah, I wish I had something like that," another girl replied.
"You two have been like that for two years, you might get rusty," Gabby and Andy suddenly arrived.
"W-wait!! Aren't they the ones with the strongest healing ability in the entire academy?" someone looked at Gabby and Andy.
The two of them became famous too. And their abilities became important.
"Let's go, you're acting like that already on the first day. Hurry up, we're late," Vaisyas suddenly passed by them, running.
"She's always serious, no matter what," Andy said, pocketing his hands and walking to his classroom.
"Oooiiiiii... Did you see Aika?" Emma shouted as she ran towards them.
"Aren't you together?" Emily asked.
"N-no, I-I thought you were together," Emma was panting heavily and bowed down due to exhaustion.
"Let's go, you'll see her later in the classroom," Conrad turned around and went to their classroom.
The others also went to their classroom.
The name of The Banished Ember became known throughout the academy because of their excellent teamwork with each other.
"Aika, are you free for lunch? Let's eat at the new restaurant," Emma approached Aika and sat in front of her, facing her.
"I can't, Emma, I have something to do and somewhere to go," Aika replied, placing her hand on her face.
"Heh, is that so? Okay, maybe next time," and Emma stood up and went to her seat.
In the afternoon, Aika left first and bid farewell to her friends.
She went straight to the hospital and looked around to see if anyone followed her, but no one did.
Aika entered the hospital and was greeted by a nurse.
"Are you the one who brought the patient this morning?" The nurse stopped Aika and touched her shoulder.
"Yes, nurse, how is he?" Aika asked.
"He's okay now, ma'am, and he's awake. Please check on him in his room."
"Alright, nurse, thank you."
Aika entered the room of the wounded man she saved earlier that morning.
"You're awake now, how are you feeling?" Aika sat on the chair beside the patient.
"I'm fine now, ma'am. Are you the one who brought me to the hospital earlier?"
"Yes, that's me. I guess you're not from around here, am I right?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Tell me, where are you from and why do you have those wounds?" Aika's voice was weak, and her gaze was icy cold as her intense aura slowly emerged.
"Don't worry, ma'am, I'm not a spy. Truth be told, I just came from a dangerous mission and they were too strong," he forced a smile as if he was hiding something.
"What's your name?"
"I'm Axel Drayzer, and you?"
"I'm sorry, Axel, I can't tell you my name, you're suspicious. Stay here, I have something to do."
"Yes, ma'am."
Aika left and checked if there was anyone named Axel Drayzer in the Celestria Region, but she found none, and she immediately went to the hospital where Axel was being treated.
When she arrived at the hospital, she immediately brandished her knife at Axel and looked at him coldly.
"You, who are you really?" Aika's voice was icy cold, as if she was about to kill Axel.
"W-what do you mean, ma'am?" Axel broke into a cold sweat, as if he was scared of Aika.
"Axel Drayzer, I checked your profile, and I found nothing, you weren't born here either, where are you from?"
"Ah... because... I'm a warrior from Forestville Village and I live alone in the mountains, why don't you ask there about me, that's where I was born," Axel's voice was weak, and he seemed afraid of Aika.
"Fine, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. It's too late now, I'll investigate tomorrow," Aika hid her knife and left the hospital.
As she walked out the door, Axel heaved a sigh of relief, as if a huge weight had been lifted off his chest.
"That kid is crazy, scary," Axel immediately smiled, as if he had gone mad.
Shortly after the doctor finished checking on him, Axel waited for a while and then left the hospital, heading straight to Forestville Village.
When he arrived, he went to the mountain where he lived, and there was a house where an old man lived.
He quickly went to that house and knocked on the door. It was already late at night when he arrived.
Knock... Knock...
"What is it? It's very late, is there still someone at this hour?" The old man slowly got up, hunched over.
When he opened the door, Axel quickly grabbed him by the throat.
"If a young woman comes here, just say my name, Axel Drayzer. Got it?" Axel whispered to the old man.
"Y-yes, I will comply," the old man could barely speak properly because of the pressure on his neck.
"Good old man, you're in charge of making up the story, just make sure to say that my name is unknown," Axel pocketed his hands and left.
The old man was very scared and quickly closed the door.
After that, he went to the Village Hall of Forestville and entered.
"Miss, where's your chief?" Axel whispered to a woman.
"He's not here right now, sir, if you want, we ca—" The woman couldn't finish her sentence because Axel suddenly pointed a knife made of aura at her, and only the two of them could see it.
"Make me a Birth Certificate saying I came from here, or else I'll take your life," Axel's gaze was icy cold as he stared at the woman.
The woman had no choice but to obey Axel's orders. Shortly after, Axel finished making his Birth Certificate and stood up from his seat.
"If a young woman comes here, tell her and give her what she's looking for, and send her to that mountain and tell her that I used to live there, do you understand?" Axel whispered to the woman as he stared coldly at her.
The woman had no choice but to agree.
After that, Axel immediately returned to the hospital where he was currently being treated.
The next afternoon, Aika returned to the hospital where Axel was being treated.
"I'm sorry, I doubted you," Aika bowed in front of Axel.
"Oh, that's nothing, I should be the one apologizing for wasting so much of your time," Axel smiled as he said this.
Several days passed, and Axel was discharged from the hospital. He wanted to accompany Aika, but she didn't want him to because she had her own place to stay. However, Axel kept insisting, and Aika had no choice but to agree.
In the region of Emberlands, there was a house that was very red in appearance, and almost everything in that house was red. Inside, there were people wearing red kimonos. In one room, there were three people: a standing man, a standing woman, and a woman sitting on the bed.
"Axel Drayzer has fallen completely, and he has been replaced by someone younger," the man in the room said.
"Axel Drayzer, what could have happened to him? He was defeated by a boy who is only 19 years old. That's impossible, isn't it, ma'am?" the woman in the room asked the woman on the bed.
"It seems he has returned to his former life, with revenge being his only thought all that time," the woman suddenly smiled, and her aura became very powerful. "How amusing."
"His position has been replaced, and the one who defeated him has taken over, ma'am," said the standing woman.
"Are you sure that the boy will be next, ma'am?" replied the man in the room.
"He won't be able to do that because he can't come to the Emberlands region," the woman on the bed took out her fan and placed it on her mouth, then smiled.
In a place not marked on the map of the continent of the three regions, there was a man traveling through the desert, wearing a black cloak.
He walked alone, as if his journey had no end, when suddenly a desert centipede appeared and attacked the man wearing the cloak.
As the centipede attacked the man, he flicked the air and the centipede suddenly disappeared like a bubble.
The man continued his journey, unaware of how many hours he had wasted walking.
As the man continued walking, he arrived at a mountain and saw a dungeon there.
Back to what was happening with Aika and her friends. Axel was currently living in Aika's house and serving as a helper.
"Are you going in, ma'am?" Axel asked as he arranged their food on the table.
"Yes, I'm leaving," Aika replied as she fixed her hair.
"Aren't you going to eat, ma'am? It's a waste of food," Axel sat down at the table.
"Just put it in the fridge. I'll eat it later," Aika took her bag and left.
"That girl, really," Axel scratched his head and prepared his meal.
Aika entered the Zentobia academy and walked towards her classroom.
"Hey, wait for me, Aika," Emma shouted as she ran towards where Aika was standing.
"Oh? Why are you running, Emma?"
"I said we'd go in together."
"Sorry, Emma, I'm busy."
"By the way, Aika, Leonardo invited us to his house tonight, there's a day party," Emma said excitedly as she held Aika's hand.
"Why?" Aika asked as they walked towards their classroom.
"He said he passed the Lunar Ward entrance exam and Owen Aries chose him as his Lunar Ward, so he's excited."
"Really? If that's the case, there are already results? It's good that he passed," Aika sighed as if a weight had been lifted off her chest.
"I think Miss Ava and Miss Ava Scorpio's passers are also invited to the party."
"Looks like you're too excited, Emma."
"So are you, Aika."
"Let's go to the Classroom, Emma."
"Okay."
They entered their class.
In Class-D,...
"Let's start the class... wait, where's Raya again? That kid really.... Lilith, please call Raya here," Mrs. Ami Peña, Raya's teacher, was angry.
"Okay, Mrs. Ami." Lilith immediately went out and went to the rooftop. "Raya, Mrs. Ami is looking for you in the classroom. If you don't go now, she'll drop you."
"What's that Lilith, she's ordering me around again, tell her I don't want to, and besides, I'm strong enough now."
"Watch out there, Raya, okay, I'll go first."
"Yes, don't bother me again."
Lilith returned to their classroom and relayed what Raya had said to her. Mrs. Ami couldn't hold back anymore and went to find Raya on the rooftop.
"You, kid, don't you want to study?" Mrs. Ami yelled at Raya loudly, startling her.
"Ugh!! What's wrong, ma'am, the person is sleeping."
"Oh really? Fine, I'll just kick you out of school," their teacher said angrily.
"Hey Raya, you're really something, always getting on your teachers' nerves," Nolan suddenly appeared using his Spatial Ability.
"Sir Leo, good day to you, I didn't expect you to come now," Mrs. Ami was very surprised and didn't know what to say because Nolan Leo suddenly appeared at the academy.
"Wow, you're really famous," Raya teased.
"You disrespectful child, do you know who you're talking to? He's one of the Zodiacs," Mrs. Ami was fuming at Raya's disrespect towards one of the Zodiacs.
"It's okay, Mrs. Ami. I should be the one apologizing for my brother's behavior," Nolan closed his eyes and smiled.
"What? Brother? Wait, he's your brother?" Mrs. Ami was shocked, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Yes, please don't mention it, Mrs. Ami, if you can. And you, Raya, try to reduce your laziness if you can. I've noticed you've become even lazier in the past two years."
"Yes, brother, I know," Raya just scratched her head.
"Okay, I'll go first. By the way, Raya, there's a party at Owen's later. Join them," Nolan said.
"Yes, brother."
"Okay then, I'll go first." Nolan entered his Spatial Ability and disappeared like a bubble.
After that, Mrs. Ami looked at Raya menacingly and let her enter the classroom.
And then, the friends who had become survivors in that world three years ago were together in the academy's canteen.
"Are we all going later?" Emily asked while eating.
"Probably, we'll celebrate Leonardo passing the Lunar Ward entrance exam," Gabby replied.
"By the way, Aika, how are you and Leonardo? Are you talking to each other now?" Andy asked.
"I think we're okay now," Aika replied, taking a bite of rice.
HAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA HA, Why does it seem like...? You're not okay yet, and besides, I heard he already has a girlfriend, and she's prettier than you," Emma interjected, looking at Aika and smiling as if she were insulting her.
"So what?!!" Aika said angrily.
"I heard he liked you before?" Conrad suddenly asked.
"What were you guys back then? He just rejected Leonardo because he only likes Kill," Emily joked.
And they all laughed.
"Aika, find someone to love for the rest of your life, remember that we can't bring Kill back because he's dead," Emily said.
"I know that, even I want to find a partner, but I promised myself that I'll only love Kill," Aika replied.
"Are you willing to die without fulfilling that promise?" Emma asked.
Aika didn't answer and just bowed her head.
"Think about what we said to you." They stood up and left the canteen.
Now back to the man wearing the black cloak. As he entered the dungeon, he was confronted by bandits wearing masks.
"Who are you? Get out... the bandit couldn't finish what he was saying because everyone who blocked the man wearing the black cloak had their heads cut off.
The man in the black cloak continued into the dungeon, encountering fewer and fewer monsters until he reached the bottom of the dungeon and saw another man wearing a black cloak, but this one had a skull mask.
"You're good and you defeated my men. Introduce yourself," the man with the skull mask said.
The man wearing the black cloak didn't speak and just stared at the man with the skull mask.
"I guess I don't need that because I know you, am I right?" the man with the skull mask slowly stood up and removed his mask. "Now it's time for payback."
"It's you, Black Serpent, as far as I know, you're supposed to be dead."
The man wearing the black cloak suddenly spoke.
"I've been reborn, can't you see my body? That's what happened to me because of your attack, now it's time to collect." Black Serpent showed his body full of stitches.Download Novelah App
