Chapter 56 Rising Thunder: The Unyielding Aura

Eira Glacetail's POV
The standoff between Kill, Mors, and Nox intensified, the tension in the abandoned building became palpable, thickening the air with the scent of impending conflict.
I observed Kill, his demeanor unperturbed by the imminent threat posed by his adversaries, while Mors and Nox assumed their battle stances, the anticipation of combat shimmering in their eyes.
Then, with a ceremonial slowness, Kill fitted his skull mask over his face. My gaze flickered to Mors, who, in a moment that seemed to defy time, smiled enigmatically and vanished, only to reappear behind Kill in a whisper of movement.
My eyes scarcely followed Mors as he clenched his fist tighter, drawing his elbow back in a prelude to a strike that promised devastation.
Yet, Kill's reflexes were unparalleled. With an arm raised in defiance, he parried the blow, a collision so mighty it sent shockwaves through the derelict structure, crumbling the ground beneath Kill's feet.
Displaced but undeterred, Kill stood firm as I readied myself to join the fray. However, with a commanding gesture, he stilled me.
"Stand back," he decreed, his voice carrying the weight of unchallenged authority to both Astralus and me. "This battle is mine to wage."
They retreated from each other, leaving the ruins of the building behind, stepping into the open where the sun blazed down, mingling its harsh light with the swirling gusts of wind.
As Kill's aura began to manifest, a visible testament to his power, Mors attempted another stealthy advance. Yet, this time, Kill anticipated his move, countering with a preemptive strike that Mors barely managed to deflect. Nox joined the fray, unleashing a flurry of blows that seemed to materialize from thin air, each driven by his own formidable aura.
However, Kill, with a display of skill that bordered on the supernatural, parried every assault, the ground beneath him succumbing to the force of their battle. He then broke into a sprint, his posture reminiscent of a ninja, a shadow moving with purpose and precision through the chaos of battle.
Mors pursued with relentless vigor, and out of the shadows, a dark figure emerged before Kill, aiming a vicious punch. Yet, with a swift motion, Kill parried the assault with his right hand, oblivious to Nox's silent approach from behind. A sudden strike from Nox marred Kill's visage, fracturing his mask, but not without a swift, retaliatory punch from Kill that sent Nox hurtling through the air.
In an instant, Kill ascended, his form a silhouette against the sky, a dark meteor propelled by the swirling vortex of his aura.
Mors, mirroring this ascent, was shrouded in a similar dark veil, their movements a blur, pushing the limits of my vision.
Their battle unfolded in the heavens, a tempest of punches and kicks, two dark meteors in an endless chase, each impact sending tremors through the earth below.
Nox, adorned in a contrasting white aura, soared to rejoin the fray, his presence a testament to the unresolved vendetta.
As time stretched, the velocity of Kill's strikes intensified. A singular, unguarded moment saw Mors's defenses shatter under the weight of a punch that sent him spiraling downwards.
Simultaneously, Nox was met with a kick that dispatched him from the aerial duel, both descending rapidly, yet their resilience was undiminished; they rose and soared once more, their resolve unbroken.
Kill, however, found himself ensnared by Mors, who delivered a piercing blow with a darkened blade, while Nox unleashed a flurry of punches, each one a thunderous declaration of his fury, casting Kill down to the earth.
Mors and Nox then descended like celestial phenomena, a black and a white comet streaking from the heavens, gathering their might for a cataclysmic assault upon Kill.
They unleashed their fury upon the earth where Kill lay, but he, in a defiance of gravity, ascended, his fists aimed with precision. Yet, his blow found only the earth, his adversaries evading with the grace of phantoms.
Their assault transformed the battlefield, a testament to their power, leaving a landscape reshaped by their wrath.
Each of their punches was immensely powerful. Mors, grinning once more, placed his hand on his waist. "Well done, Kill," he said, his grin widening as though eager for more combat. "It's time to get serious."
Suddenly, numerous shadows materialized, encircling them, and Mors moved among them with astonishing speed.
He could instantaneously traverse to any of his shadows, his movements becoming so swift they nearly eluded my gaze.
He unleashed a barrage of punches at Kill, who could do nothing but brace for impact.
Then, launching a coordinated attack, they surged towards Kill, moving with incredible velocity and soon vanishing from my sight.
**Author's POV**
As Kill ascended, Mors and Nox were hot on his trail.
Utilizing his shadows for swift movement, Mors quickly caught up. He attempted a punch at Kill, but Kill caught Mors's fist and flung him towards the ground. Nox then tried to strike, but Kill overwhelmed him with a volley of punches, sending Nox plummeting downwards.
Suddenly, Mors reappeared behind Kill, and there, they exchanged a flurry of punches and kicks.
As they continued their exchange, they shifted locations, moving so rapidly that they eventually found themselves above the Region of Celestria.
Kill was struck by a clean punch from Mors, crashing into a town in Celestria.
Kill quickly rose to his feet and sprinted away from Mors, who pursued him relentlessly.
The civilians in the area began to scream in fear. As Mors caught up, he launched a kick from the air, missing Kill but fracturing the earth beneath, leaving it shattered.
Panic ensued among the people, who were uncertain of what to do next.
Kill once again exchanged blows with Mors. Their battle took them past large buildings and homes, all of which crumbled in their wake.
Meanwhile, the Zodiacs hurried towards the town where Kill and Mors were clashing.
Suddenly, Nox appeared above Kill and attempted a kick, but Kill blocked it with his hands, demolishing the ground where he stood and forcing him to retreat. Mors and Nox also halted.
"What do you make of that, Kill?" Mors smiled, pointing at Kill. "That technique of mine is called Shadow Binding."
"You can move between the shadows you've placed, using Rift Aura, can't you?" Kill asked Mors.
"Yes, but at my core, I'm an Aura Manipulator, which allows me to move through my shadow bindings like that," Mors replied.
"If that's the case, I'll show you a little glimpse of the power of an Omnimancer," Kill said, his voice cold.
Suddenly, his blue aura emerged, enveloping his entire body in a radiant blue electricity.
In less than a second, Kill was in front of Mors, raining down a flurry of powerful punches. He followed it up with a kick to Mors's face, sending him flying.
As Nox prepared to strike, Kill swiftly punched him, moving with lightning speed as if he were a bolt of lightning.
Mors attempted to rise but was swiftly kicked by Kill, who then returned to his original position.
Nox also tried to get up, but Kill kicked him again, returning once more to his spot.
Kill noticed a powerful aura approaching, so he levitated in the middle of the town.
Then, all of Kill's aura exploded from his body, reaching the heavens with its immense strength.
The Zodiacs witnessed what was happening in the town.
"I-impossible, this aura," Oliver muttered, gazing at Kill's blue aura. "Impossible, it can't be him. They just have the same color, but they're different."
"Stop it now, Grim Reaper," Grace said to Kill.
"That aura is incredibly strong. How did he gain such power?" Owen asked.
Vanessa was surprised by what she saw; she glimpsed the blue eyes behind the Grim Reaper's mask and noticed the white hair of Kill, but she kept it to herself.
Kill aimed his right palm towards the ground where Mors and Nox lay, rendering them unable to stand. Slowly, an aura ball began to form in his palm, growing larger with each passing moment.
"Stop it!" Naomi shouted.
"Nolan, have you evacuated everyone from the town?" Ava asked Nolan.
"Yes, everyone has been evacuated," Nolan replied.
Kill then unleashed the massive aura ball towards the two figures lying on the ground, and upon impact, the entire town was obliterated.
The force of the attack created a massive crater that nearly engulfed all the houses and buildings in the town.
Kill descended into the center of the crater, accompanied by the arrival of the Zodiacs above him.
"Grim Reaper, surrender now and face the consequences of your actions," Penelope said to Kill.
"Don't resist, Grim Reaper. If you do, we won't hesitate to eliminate you," Alex Aquarius added.
Kill ignored their words and approached Mors and Nox, lifting them up.
"For now, it's not the right time to fight you," Kill enveloped his entire body in electricity and dashed away like lightning. The Zodiacs pursued him, but Kill was too fast for them to catch.
Suddenly, a dragon appeared before them, none other than Astralus with Eira onboard. Kill and his two captives joined them.
Kill laid the two down and healed their wounds using his healing flame. Then, they set off for their next destination.
