The grass caressed her feet and a smile softened in Lia's eyes. A gust of hot air brushed her cheek as the sky turned pale yellow, then crimson and, close to breathing, electric indigo. "Where is this place?" Derek asked. "My favorite place!" Lisa replied. Derek looked around, their surroundings were full of bushes and trees. There is no sign of people around, he heard some rumors that this forest is full of spirits and ghosts. "The dense bush is your favorite spot?" Derek called out, jaw sagging. "Don't look at the surroundings with your eyes, look at them with your heart," Lia said while breathing in the fresh air around her while her eyes are caught like magnets. She looked at Derek, she was shocked as he stood in one spot and looked around like he had lost his lunch in the bushes, Derek thought it was a waste of time following Lia, he should have stayed home. "Come on let me take you somewhere," Lia said as she grabbed Derek's arm and pulled him into the thicker bush with a glamorous smile on her face. She walked steadily. "Here! This is my thinking rock, this is where I meditate, think, and do other fun things. Tada! You're shocked, aren't you?" Lia said as she hopped onto a rock 30 meters wide and 60 centimeters high. She taps the rock rocks and motions for Derek to jump on them as well. "Yes, it's shocking." Derek did as she said, so confused as his forehead creased. He wondered why a pretty girl like Lia would love to stay in the woods in a boring environment. "So boring! Is this what you call life?" Derek asked as he crossed his arms over his chest, catching a glimpse of Lia's smiling face before making another hurtful statement. He doesn't want her to get hurt, but it kills his vibes. "Don't say that to me, Derek. This is the place where I rose from the dead. "What? So you were dead?." Derek said, wincing. He pulled away from her, staring at her every move, just like a predator looking out for its prey. "Sort of. I remember this day like yesterday. My spirit roamed around this environment for over 7 years until Zach was kidnapped by some men on a sunny day. They brought him here ready to murder him but I saved him. " Lia paused with a glamorous smile, brightening her face. "Zach noticed my soul. He came every day to thank me. One faithful evening he said he wished to see me show his appreciation. Zach gave up his lower body parts from belly to belly the soles of my feet into the jungle to set my soul free." She paused staring at a spot. "I became human again, I was reshaped from the dust, but this necklace has been with me for a long time." Lia paused as she looked at Derek who was so focused and attentive to her message. "The necklace seems connected to your soul, Lia," Derek said, pointing to the blue necklace that hung on Lia's neck. "Yeah. It's like I have superpowers like you, Derek." Lia said as she picked up the blue circle tool on her necklace. "Superpowers? Phew, I don't have any. You're only human, you shouldn't have one either,” Derek said, lying. "I know you're a Jinn, but I can't remember who I am. Don't think you can deny the fact that you are a son of Jinn and a mermaid." "How do you know that?" Derek asked. Lia looked at Derek silently. "Hmm... so what happened to Zach after he resuscitated you? " “He cannot walk well without his gold cane, he has problems with excretion through his privates and he is impotent. Zach experiences pain, regret, and agony every day after resuscitating me. He had no wife as he was impotent and semi-disabled, everyone believed he was bewitched. I married Zach out of sorrow to satisfy my guilty conscience. After we got married he gets frustrated every time he sees me, abuses me, he molests ma and does all sorts of things to me because I am the cause of this misfortune that is happening to him. He was just trying to help me, all because of me, now he can never be a father. ” Lia murmured, looking down at the green grass beneath her feet as flashes of what had happened crossed her mind. Derek's heart melted when he heard her story. His cold heart was touched. He closed his teary eyes as he hugged her. "Derek, I just want you to help me figure out who I am before it's too late." Lia ground out. "What do you mean too late? You are still young." "I will soon return to the dust from which I came. I can't watch Zach trying hard." "But he deserves to suffer..." Derek said, tracing his lips and breaking away from the comfortable hug. "Are you going to leave me?" A tear rolled from Derek's watery eyes onto his lips. "Ah...hmmm..." Lia couldn't get a word out. "Then I'll come with you," Derek concluded. Lia's eyes collide with his. "Are you sane? Do you want Ava to cry because of your ignorance?” "It does not interest me anymore. I want you.” Derek said, taking her hand. "What do you mean by that?" Lia said, heart pounding. Derek placed her hand, her palm on his chest, pounding with every stroke. "I think I kind of like you. I love you, Lia." Derek confessed he expected her to retaliate with a punch or a slap, but instead, she smiled, got off the rock, and moved closer to him. Her shadow drew closer, her nose was closer to his and their lips touched. Derek grabbed her waist as she sat on his lap and rolled her tongue in his mouth. Derek never thought Lia would be so good and quick at it. She let go, her lips slowly parting. Their eyes locked as Derek smiled at her. His beautiful eyes said a lot, he wants more. Lia felt her cheeks burn with remorse. She bowed her head so Derek wouldn't notice the effect he was having on her. Derek leaned in and kissed her again, more passionately. Lia's eyes widened, then slowly closed them.
